We will recreate a chance meeting between two strangers on a bus.

D:Excuse me, let me ask which station to stop at if i want to go to MEGA mall?

K:If you want to get to the mega mall, you have to get off at Thao Dien bus stop
and walk about 200m more.

D: Thank you very much,do you often talk to strangers like this because I feel like
you're quite open?

K:Yes, I've talked to people who I don't know, but I think everyone has mostly
talking to strangers. For example, when we go to a strange place and we want to
ask about directions to a certain place, or when we enter a new environment that
requires us to interact with many people or when we want to expand our
relationship.

D:What kind of things do you talk about in these situations?

K:When I want to get to know someone, I will greet them cheerfully, then I often
look for things I have in common with them to find a topic of conversation. I will
often talk about topics such as my hometown, hobbies, the reason we are here,
about a certain future plan or about a good book I just read.

D:You're pretty much like me .Sometimes I will also want to strike up a


conversation with someone I don't know to know more about many things like
studying how to learn effectively and without getting discouraged and what can
happen in everyday life to avoid or some skills to handle the situation

D: Can I make friends with you via Facebook so we can talk to each other more
later?

K: oh right! My account Facebook is Nguyen Thanh Kieu.

D: oke , my one is Nguyen Thi Thu Diep. Do you often post anything on
Facebook? I rarely post because I just like to keep those moments to myself

K:I very rarely share something on social networks because I don't like to spend a
lot of time on social networks and have to check notifications regularly. Whenever
something funny or interesting happens, I usually just share it via text message or
video call with my family and my best friends.
