NARRATIVE REPORT
Scouts of the World Seminar
The Discovery Workshop on Scouts of the World Award (SWA) held last November 10-
11, 2023, at Albay Provincial Campsite, Basag, Ligao City.
As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming Boy Scouts seminar, I take the time to prepare
myself mentally and physically. I review the agenda and familiarize myself with the topics that
will be covered, ensuring that I come to the seminar with a clear understanding of what to
expect. I also gather any materials that may be needed, such as a notebook, pen, and water bottle,
so that I'm ready to fully engage in the learning experience.
Upon arriving at the venue, I take the opportunity to engage in friendly conversation,
exchanging stories and insights, and building camaraderie with like-minded individuals.
Throughout the seminar, I make a conscious effort to actively participate in workshops and
sessions, fully immersing myself in the learning opportunities available. I listen attentively to the
presenters and contribute to group discussions, eager to absorb new knowledge and skills that
will benefit me as a Boy Scout. Whether it's learning outdoor survival techniques, honing
leadership skills, or exploring the principles of teamwork and collaboration, I approach each
session with enthusiasm and an open mind. As I engage with the seminar content, I take notes to
capture key insights shared by the presenters. The notes serve as a valuable reference tool that I
can revisit and reflect on long after the seminar has ended.
As the seminar draws to a close, I leave feeling inspired and empowered to apply the
knowledge and skills I've gained to future scouting activities. Equipped with new insights, I
return to my troop with renewed enthusiasm and confidence, ready to lead by example and make
a positive impact in the lives of my fellow Scouts. The seminar may be over, but the learning and
growth it has inspired will continue to shape my scouting journey for years to come.

NARRATIVE REPORT
GSP Basic Leadership Training Course
As I embark on the Girl Scouts Leadership Training Course, I take the time to prepare
myself mentally and emotionally for the journey ahead. I set clear intentions for what I hope to
gain from the experience. Equipped with an open mind and a willingness to learn, I gather any
necessary materials, such as notebooks, pens, and a positive attitude, ensuring that I am ready to
fully engage in the training.
Throughout the training course, I immerse myself in a variety of activities designed to
cultivate leadership skills and foster personal growth. Team-building activities offers valuable
insights and practical strategies for effective leadership. I embrace the opportunity to step outside
of my comfort zone, taking on new challenges and honing my abilities as a confident and
capable leader. As I engage with the content, I take time to reflect on my own learning and
growth journey. Through guided reflections, I deepen my understanding of my strengths, values,
and areas for development as a leader. I celebrate my achievements while also acknowledging
the challenges and obstacles that I have overcome along the way. By cultivating a practice of
self-awareness and introspection, I lay the groundwork for continued personal and professional
growth. Throughout the training course, I seek out opportunities to connect with experienced Girl
Scout leaders and mentors who can offer guidance and support in my leadership journey.
Whether it's participating in one-on-one coaching sessions, seeking advice from seasoned leaders
or joining mentorship programs offered through the Girl Scouts organization, I actively seek out
mentorship opportunities that will help me thrive as a leader.
As the training course draws to a close, I leave feeling inspired and empowered to apply
the knowledge and skills I've gained in the Girl Scouts community. Equipped with a deeper
understanding of effective leadership principles and strategies I’ll return to my school with
renewed enthusiasm and confidence, ready to empower and mentor the next generation of Girl
Scouts. The training course may be over, but the journey of leadership and learning continues as
I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of girls and young women everywhere.
