The Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) Gas Unitization Field Development
Project is one of the energy sector’s National Strategic Projects. Impact

Vale
Vale’s Salobo III capital project sought to expand facilities at the
Salabo mine in Serra dos Carajás, Pará, Brazil. Prior to this, the Impact
open-pit mining operations for copper sulfide ore occurred across
two plants, Salobo I and Salobo II. Salabo III would become the
third processing plant, as an extension of the existing power Greater accuracy

Timely implementation of EcoSys prevented running on an old and


potentially vulnerable environment, as well as unnecessary spending
to upgrade end-of-life assets.

According to SNCL, because EcoSys is so configurable, they were


able to design a user interface (in addition to workflows) that met the
needs of the project managers and business expectations while not
compromising on industry best practices.

Vale’s Salobo III capital project sought to expand facilities at the
Salabo mine in Serra dos Carajás, Pará, Brazil. Prior to this, the Impact
open-pit mining operations for copper sulfide ore occurred across
two plants, Salobo I and Salobo II. Salabo III would become the
third processing plant, as an extension of the existing power Greater accuracy
transmission line.

For this project, Vale deployed Hexagon’s HxGN SDx Projects, Less rework
Intergraph Smart 3D, Intergraph Smart Materials and Intergraph
Smart Construction.
Better project data management
Together, these solutions enabled Vale to reach greater accuracy
within its operations. Vale could reduce the interfaces on site, Information integration
while also leveraging automation for processes including detailing
and 3D visualization. Other benefits of using Hexagon’s product
portfolio included cost savings, by avoiding issues such as data Greater efficiency through automation and advanced
inconsistencies, and increased efficiency by ensuring the right technologies
materials were available at the construction site.

The adoption of Hexagon’s technologies in the Salobo III project saw


Vale become a champion for change within its own organization. An
integrated project delivery (IPD) approach and the use of advanced
technologies, such as building information modeling (BIM) and virtual
reality, fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration for its
various stakeholders and contractors.

The data quality dashboard allows PETRONAS to continuously


monitor data quality, track data quality trends and acts as a platform
of “call for action” for business functions to assess whether data has
potential to support analysis or if it requires remediation

PETRONAS has implemented data discovery and a data quality


process for critical data elements. Additionally, it has established
overall data flow diagrams and system-to-system data flow diagrams
to manage projects.

The copper mine in Brazil, owned and operated by one of SNC Deploy a global design team without relocation
