 Installation instructions
●
Locate your GTA IV game installation folder (Tutorials: Steam,
Rockstar Games Launcher)
●
Right-click GTAIV.exe, then click “Properties” and then find your game
version in the “Details” tab.
●
Install all required files according to your game version. Make sure to
install the requirements following the sequence they are given.
●
Extract "Liberty's Legacy.asi" and "Liberty's Legacy" folder into the
root of your GTA IV game installation folder.
●
Done!

Note: there won’t be given further help for the installation. If you can’t find out how to install the trainer then I
suggest watching this video tutorial.

 Steam Deck instructions
I do not have a Steam Deck device to provide official
installation instructions for that platform but there have been
users across the internet who have managed to get mods to
work on Steam Deck including this trainer. Below I’m providing

 How to use
Once you load into the game for the first time you will be introduced to the
trainer with instructions on how to use it. The following are the default trainer
controls:

Mouse & keyboard:

Open key: F11
Navigation: Arrow (UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT)
Accept option: ENTER
Go back: BACKSPACE

Controller:
Open key: RB + X ----------------- R1 + Square
Navigation: D-Pad (UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT)
Accept option: A ------------------ X
Go back: B ------------------ Circle
Note: you can change the keyboard open key through Settings/HotkeyManager

 60% Keyboard support
If you’re using a 60% keyboard then you will have to manually edit
Liberty’s Legacy.ini file found in Liberty’s Legacy folder. There,
you need to set Navigation mode = 2.

60% keyboard controls:

Open key: F11
Navigation: Letters (I, K, J, L)
Accept option: U
Go back: O

Note: you need to follow the steps above in order to use the trainer on a 60% keyboard.
Otherwise the default controls will be used and you won’t be able to navigate to the trainer
settings to change this option.

 Advanced navigation
You can hold down the CTRL key (RB/R1 on controllers) and then
use the arrows to quickly navigate the menu.

Up: Go to the top

Down: Go to the bottom
Left: Decrease trainer option counter by 10
Right: Increase trainer option counter by 10
F: Quickly search an option in current menu (must perform a trainer
scan beforehand to use this one)

Hotkeys
While holding CTRL down, press ENTER when hovering over an
option in order to set a hotkey. You can then use the hotkey to access that
option without using the trainer’s menu. Additionally you can find a Hotkey
manager submenu in the trainer Settings.

 Troubleshooting
If you are getting errors and can't launch your game then you should try the following:

Launch the game as an Administrator.
For example: If you use Rockstar Games Launcher, right click on the launcher and then click "Run as administrator".
Alternatively, you can try giving write permissions to your game folder.

Delete the AdvancedHook files.
Steam users who use the latest game version (v1.2.0.43 and above) seem to have issues with the AdvancedHook
files. You can try removing these files from your game directory and see if the problem was fixed. These are the
following files: AdvancedHook.dll, AdvancedHookInit.asi.
(Note: this doesn’t concern users who have downgraded their game).

If the game loads but the trainer doesn’t, then try using the Ultimate ASI Loader.
Download and install the Ultimate ASI Loader. If it doesn’t work the first time, then try renaming the dll file to
“dsound.dll”. Make sure no other ASI Loader is present in your game folder (usually dsound.dll or xlive.dll).

If your issues are still not fixed, then given the fact that you have followed all the steps of the installation correctly you
may comment your issue in the comments here or here providing information about it (error messages, crashes and
your ScriptHook.log file).

 Description
Liberty’s Legacy is a modern trainer/mod menu for GTA
IV. Trainers in this game have never been as user
friendly as they have been in GTA V so I decided to fill
the void by creating my own!Development started in
January 2021 and the goal is to bring a variety of
modded functionalities accessible through a modern
menu base. Users have the option to personalize the
menu to their own liking and assign hotkeys to their
favorite functions.
