with examples.
Ans. Certainly! Measurement, assessment, and evaluation are all terms used in the

1. Measurement: Measurement refers to the process of assigning numbers or scores
to quantify characteristics, traits, or attributes. It involves the use of instruments or
tools to gather data about a particular phenomenon. Measurements provide
numerical information about the quantity or quality of something. For example,
measuring the height of students in a classroom using a ruler provides numerical
data (in inches or centimeters) that represent their heights.
2. Assessment: Assessment involves gathering information about an individual's
knowledge, skills, abilities, or traits for the purpose of making decisions. It is a
broader concept that encompasses various methods, tools, and techniques used to
collect data about a person's performance or understanding. Assessment can be
formative, providing feedback for improvement, or summative, evaluating overall
achievement. For example, administering a midterm exam to students to gauge their
understanding of course material is a form of assessment.
3. Evaluation: Evaluation involves making judgments or interpretations based on
collected information or data. It focuses on determining the value, worth, or
effectiveness of something according to established criteria or standards. Evaluation
