Dimensioned Sketches (2)
Chosen Sketch - Isometric
It’s so cute and It was the only one I liked.
Chosen Sketch - Multiview
Same reason as the slideshow above, but also
because it reminds me of a loved one and I’m
really passionate about projects were I can do
things I love.

Feel free to write yourself a script of what to say.

You can either record your own face or a short
slide you prepared with a summary
Reflection
Describe the reason for the design you modeled—how is this personal/special
to you? Why did you choose this over your other design?
the design I choose is special to me. The other day my friend drew my boyfriend and I as
cats, and I really loved them. I asked for their permission if I could use the idea for this
project and they said yes. I changed a couple things from what My friend drew, for
example they added curly hair on the top of the cat and I made the entire cat a curly
looking cat ( I tried ). Although I wish I could make the cat a happy cat because my
boyfriend is such a happy person, I am happy with the results.
Reflection
What did you learn during this project?
I learned how to use loft and mirror, which were very useful to me when making such a
complicated design that had to look symmetrical. Loft Was very useful for me when
making the jibilit and the mirror really helped me making the body of the cat, the
whiskers, eyes, and ears. Outside of this project at was able to learn how to use sweep
and circular pattern.
Reflection
How did the model you created on Fusion compare to
what you thought it would look like?
The model is a little less wavy and the cat looks serious/sad, which I don’t mind also I
think it’s a little late to change anything right now. In the design he’s more wavy and
happy and cute with blush. I didn’t want to but Baluch on the model because it was
already hard trying to figure out how to do the whiskers. But overall I love the design and
model.
Reflection
Describe how you created the 3D model of your model using the
four features and reference tools. Justify why these features were
chosen to create the desired shapes.
I first started with a 3x3 box, then I started outline basic features of the ears and face.
After that I made one side of the ear and the face, then mirrored it onto the other side but
I left the middle part ( where the hair is supposed to be) blank. I used the image trace to
make the curly hair. After that I extruded the whole body to 1 In. Then I made the ears
extruded it by -0.05 in. I made the face with the image trace tool, and extrude it by 0.05. I
also extruded the hair but by 0.10 in. In the back of the model I used text/emboss tool to
put VXII (05/12). The date we got together. Then I made the jibilit using the loft tool. I
made a 0.372 diameter circle. Then I made a plane that went up by 0.2 in., to make
another circle of 0.18 in diameter. I lofted it, then I made another circle on top of the stem
and made the circle 0.508 in. diameters extrude it up by 0.1 in, and then used the fillet
tool to make if round.
Reflection
What did you like/not like from this project?

1. I liked making the model and the sketching parts because it was fun to do and I liked learning about
the new tools. I really like using fusion too it’s one of my favorite softwares. I really liked that we
were able to get it printed out and design it.

2. I did not like the slideshow part or the part where I have to record myself explaining what things
are etc. It’s not because I don’t like recording myself it’s just personally a lot of work for a model.
Reasonable work like I understand why we have to show that we understand, and at first I re
looked at the slide shows and it wasn’t bad but I really want to write a reflection.
Reflection
What could have made the project better?
I feel like I could’ve organized my days and I could’ve finished the model faster, and focus
on the slideshows more. I was able to finish the model I just needed to get pictures and
finish the slideshow. But overall I feel like I could’ve organized my days, and not be afraid
to ask questions.
Reflection
If you were to give yourself a grade on this project, what
would you deserve and why?
I would give myself a B. Mostly because of my organization skills that brought it down but
overall I think I did well on the model and the slideshow. I just really wish I was smart
about my time so that I wouldn’t work on this so late. I think that for the next project that
we have I want to be more prepared, ask questions, and organize my time. I also think
that the project sheet could be helpful for the next project that we’ll have.
