 1 bay leaf

Beef Daube Provençal  3 cups hot cooked medium egg noodles (about 4 cups uncooked
noodles)
Serving Size-6 servings
 Chopped fresh thyme (optional)

Ingredients
 2 teaspoons olive oil
 12 garlic cloves, crushed
Preparation
 1 (2-pound) boneless chuck roast, trimmed and cut into 2-inch 1. Preheat oven to 300°.

3. Cover and bake at 300° for 2 1/2 hours or until beef is tender. Discard
 1 tablespoon tomato paste bay leaf. Serve over noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh thyme, if
desired.
 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
4. Note: To make in a slow cooker, prepare through Step 2. Place beef
 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme mixture in an electric slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 5 hours.
 Dash of ground cloves
 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained

Ingredients
 2 teaspoons black peppercorns
 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
 1 teaspoon dry mustard
 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
 4 (4-ounce) beef tenderloin steaks, trimmed (1 inch thick)
 Cooking spray

Preparation
1. Prepare grill.
2. Place peppercorns and rosemary in a spice or coffee grinder; pulse until
the pepper is coarsely ground. Combine pepper mixture, dry mustard,
salt, and garlic powder; rub evenly over both sides of steaks. Place
steaks on a grill rack coated with cooking spray, and grill 3 minutes on
each side or until desired degree of doneness.
