Materials & Notes
Hook: 4 DC POPCORN STITCH:

3.5mm - COASTER Make *4 double crochets into the stitch or
5mm - POT chain you want.
Remove your hook from the working loop
Yarn: and insert it into the first double crochet
Frida, Tessiland, 50% cotton, 50% acrylic stitch.
Colour A - Yellow Grab the loop and pull it through the first
Colour B - Green double crochet stitch and tighten the stitch.
Colour C - Pink Follow the rest of the pattern.
Thai Sublime, Tessiland, Polyester and
Polyamide Rope *You can also do the popcorn stitch with 5
Colour D - White double crochets, it will make the flower bigger.
Yarn weight: Note:

Frida - Number 2/Fine/Sport When you see a * or ** or ***, it's the repeat
Thai Sublime - Number 4/Worsted you will have to do, follow the steps
mentioned.
You can also use number 3/DK yarn for this
project using a 4mm hook.
Amount of yarn used:

Frida (coaster) - 10g per coaster
Thai Sublime (pot) - 15g

Flower Pot Coaster Set - COASTER
Make as many coasters as you want, you can fit up to 6 coasters inside the pot.
Round 1 - COLOUR A
Work a magic ring, ch2 (does not count as a st), work 16 dc into the ring, close
ring, sl st into first dc. [16 sts]
Round 2
Ch2 (does not count as a st), *2 dc into every st, rep from * around. Sl st into
first dc. [32 sts]
Round 3
Ch2 (does not count as a st), *2 dc into next st, 1 dc into following st, rep from *
around. Sl st into first dc, ch1 and fasten off. [48 sts]
Round 4 - COLOUR B
Attach yarn into any st around, ch5 (counts as a st), work 1 dc into the same st,
*sk 2 sts, (1 dc, ch2, 1 dc) into the following st, rep from * around. At the end, sk
last 2 sts and sl st into 3rd chain. Ch1 and fasten off.
You will have 16 ch2 spaces (Vs).
Round 5 - COLOUR C
Attach yarn into any 2ch-sp, ch3 (counts as a st), 3 dc into same 2ch-sp, remove
your hook from the working loop and insert it into the ch3, grab the loop and
pull it through the ch3 and tighten the st, *ch2, sc into the top centre of the
flower, rep from * 2 more times. Ch2, sc into the sp in between the two dc sts,
ch2, **work a 4-dc popcorn st into the next 2ch-sp, ***ch2, sc into the top
centre of the flower, rep from *** 2 more times, ch2, sc into the sp in between
the two dc sts, ch2, rep from ** around. At the end, sl st into any st beside the
first popcorn st. Ch1, fasten off and weave in ends.
