Visualization Model Team
The purpose of this exercise is to model and make the 2D GD&T drawing of the
components that constitute a production fixture called CLAMP. The assembly must be
perform by inserting all the mating conditions needed for assuring the system to work
correctly.

Create the Product Structure
Target:
To create the procuct structure (BOM) of your assembly.
Operations:
Create an Item CORP_PART: Clamp_Assembly
Select the Item Revision of the Assembly and Send_To- Product Structure
Create under the Assembly 1 Item CORP_PART and name it: Support
Save the product structure

Manage Pending
Components
Target:
To solve the problems between Teamcenter and NX
Operations:
Open the UGMASTER dataset under the Item Revision of the Assembly
In integrated NX select MODEL in the Template menu
A warning will appear and you will be asked to go to Assemblies Components Manage Pending Components
Add the six parts as model under the assembly
Save the assembly

Workflow Assingment
Target:
Assign the Parts to be produced by team members.
Operations:
Select the Item Revision of the Assembly·
Go to File New Workflow Process·
Select the template Team·
Select the Activity Top fixing plate.·
Go to Assign all tasks tab.·
Chose a member of your team and assign him the activity.·
Repeat the same procedures for the item revision: Swinging transmission device, rotary support, block fixing
bracket, operating lever·
Click ok

Workflow Follow-up
Target:
Follow-up the execution of the workflow
Operations:
Open My Worklist (Menu on the left of TC)
Expand the folders
Under Task to track Folder you will find the Workflow you have launched.
Click twice on the workflow icon.
You can track the state of the workflow by changing the view to Process to Task view.

Target:
Execute the Task you have been assigned on a Workflow
Operations:
Go to My Worklist
Expand the Folders
Under Task to Perform you will find the task you have been assigned on a workflow
Under Target you will a new item CORP_PART
Paste it under the assembly
Save the product structure
Complete the task

Add Standard Parts
Target:
Add the Standard parts (screws and nuts) to the assembly.
Operations:
Go to my Teamcenter·
Open Search View·
Search the item number 001990 (Screw_M8x34)·
Copy and paste it in your space·
Repeat the procedure for the items: 001991 (Screw_M8x30), 001992 (Nut_M8), 001993 (Screw_M10x34) , 001994 (Nut_M10),
001995 (Pin 6x24), 001996 (Pin 6x30)·
Copy all the items and paste them into the product structure of the Assembly Clamp·
Save the product structure

Duplicate Parts
Target:
Add duplicate parts necessary for the assembly
Operations:
Open the Product Structure
Copy the Top_Fixing_Plate item and paste it under the assembly
Repeat the same operation for the following parts:
Block_Fixing_Bracket – 2 parts
Screw_M8x34 – 2 parts;
screw M8x30 – 2 parts;
Nut_M8 – 2 parts;
Screw_M10x34 -4 parts;
Nut_M10 – 4 parts.
Pin 6x24 – 2 parts;
Pin 6x30 – 4 parts;
Save the product structure

Modify Product Structure
Target:
To pack duplicate parts
Operations:
Select the duplicate Items Top_Fixing_Plate
Look the Menu Bar Find. No.
Both items must have the same Find No.
Select both items and go to View Pack
Repeat these steps with the Block_Fixing_Bracket item
Save the Product Structure

Target:
Add the constraints to the released parts in order to get the final assembly
Operations:
Open the Assmebly item
Add the constraint Fix to the Support part
Add the Touch align constraint to the other parts
Save the Assembly

Create the GD&T Table
Target:
Create the table of the part according to the GD&T standard
Operations:
Select the Dataset UGMASTER of the part and open it on Integrated NX
Click File/New/Drawing. This operation will create a Dataset UGPART in Teamcenter
Select A0 anc click Ok
Create the views
Add the GD&T tolerance
