As you are aware, HEC is striving to improve its service delivery amongst other
initiatives by using end-to-end automation and constantly improving it. As a part of these
endeavors and in order to eliminate the chances of any misuse of educational documents
(Degrees, Transcripts, Diplomas, Certificates etc.), 'QR' and 'Security Key'fealures are being
inlroduced.

2. ln view of the above, it is requested lhat Honourable Vice Chancellors may direct
relevanl sections in their respective universities to commence necessary preparatory work to
place system generated'QR code'(readable through QR Code reader) and'security key'(to
confirm particulars direct from university's website) on educational documents.

3. lt is planned that w.e.f. 01-01-2024 only those educational documents will be


recognized by this Commission that are carrying 'QR Code' and 'Security Key'.

4. Your kind cooperation in this regard will be highly appreciated.
