I. OBJECTIVES
After paying attention to the teacher and the discussion, the students should be able to;
a. distinguish the vocabularies and apply the phrases/ expressions in making reservations, being
seated at the restaurant , ordering, dealing with problems, making comments and asking the menu,
and lastly getting the bill/check when going outside the country;
b. construct conversations in a restaurant using their very best ability and demonstrate/ dramatize
with their own strategy;
c. have confidence in speaking using the target language observing proper pacing,
intonation/pronunciation and grammar mechanics.
II. SUBJECT MATTER

2. Useful phrases/expressions used at the restaurant
a. making reservation
b. being seated at the restaurant
c. ordering
d. dealing with problems
e. making comments and asking the menu

III. PROCEDURES
A. Motivation
- The teacher will present a simple story about the importance of learning the languages.
Teacher: Once upon a time there was a sweet and loving family who loves to go out to other countries. One
day while they are in the middle of the road the oldest son told to her mom and dad that he is hungry and he
wants to eat and the family decided to because they are hungry so they look for a restaurant using their google
map. Luckily they found a beautiful restaurant to eat by. So the mother took her phone and call the restaurant
staff. Do you want to find out what the mother tell to the restaurant staff and do you want to know what’s
their order?
Students: Yes, teacher.
B. Presentation
- The teacher will present the helpful vocabularies and phrases/ expressions used at the
restaurant that we might herd from the restaurant staff and how we may answer them back.

C. Discussion
- The teacher will discuss how to write a conversation using the vocabularies and phrases/
expressions used in a restaurant starting in making reservation until getting the bill/check.

Restaurant English Conversation 1: Making a John: Yes, please. May I get 2 glasses of orange

Restaurant staff: This is Emma Restaurant. Waiter: Sure. Would you like an appetizer?
Customer: Hi, I would like to make a dinner John: I’ll have the tomato soup to start.

3. What will I say if I want to call the waiter and order?
4. What will I say if I encountered a problem in a restaurant?
5. How can I ask about the menu because the foods are delicious?
6. What will I say if I want to ask the bill and pay because I’m finished eating.
IV. EVALUATION
- After learning the vocabularies , phrases/ expressions and conversations; the teacher place the
students in group to construct their own conversation from making reservation, being seated at
the restaurant, ordering, dealing with problems, making comments and asking the menu and
getting the bill/check.
