CHAPTER 1
The primary goal of this study is to determine the different AI learning tool
used by the respondents, the performances of grade 11 in terms of quarter 3
level and the impacts of AI learning tool in the student engagement and
performances.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The main goal of this study is to answer the questions about the impact
of AI Learning Tool on the performance of Grade 11-Archemides of Marbel
National High School.
Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions;
1. What are the different AI Learning Tool used by the Grade 11 of Marbel
National Highschool?
2. What are the performances of Grade 11 in terms of quarter 3 level?
3. What are the impacts of AI Learning Tool in the student engagement and
scholastic performance?
THE SCHOOL. This may serve as a basic tool on how to aware and
inform the students especially the senior high school students about the positive
and negative effects of AI Learning Tools on the learning of the senior high
school students. This will serve as a guide to know the effects of using AI
learning tools.
THE TEACHERS. In this study, it will help the teachers to determine and
identify the impacts of using AI learning tools and may serve as a guide to teach
the students on the proper way of using AI learning tools.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Percentile. The term percentile refers to how a score to other scores from
the same set.
The importance given to AI tools is driven by its direct influence on the HEIs,
instructors and students' lives. It is apparent that the rapid technological
advancement of AI significantly affects education and classroom practices
(Chiu et al., 2023).To be more specific, AI and its resources are important tools
for education and learning, but they do not replace the teacher's function or
capacity to support pupils during a specific learning process (Palal et al., 2023).
AI technologies are valued because of their direct impact on the lives of higher
education institutions, professors, and students. The rapid technological growth
of AI has a substantial impact on education and classroom activities (Chiu et
al., 2023).
Based on the study of Mohr et al. (2023), there are additional hazards
associated with the use of chatbots, including the gathering of usage data, the
more challenging evaluation of the outcomes, the ambiguity of authorship, and
the abusive and unthinking use of these tools. This will gradually strip the
human brain of all thought and mental effort as it goes deeper into each activity,
such as planning and organizing. High reliance on AI can degrade technical
skills and create stress when physical or mental measures are needed (Gocen
and Aydemir, 2020).
METHODOLOGY
This research described the essential elements of the research process. This
chapter shows the research design, research locale, respondents, instrument
to be used, and the procedure on how to gather data and statistical treatments
that needed to analyze and interpret the data.
RESEARCH DESIGN:
RESEARCH LOCALE:
RESEARCH RESPONDENTS:
RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS:
The data were taken from the teacher class record. To collect the
data, the researchers asked permission to the advisers if they can see the
grades of the Grade 11 students of Marbel National Highschool during their 3rd
quarter and use it in their study. After that, the data were collected and
organized by the researchers.
STATISTICAL TREATMENTS:
•Percentile
•Percentile Rank
Grouped data was used by the researchers. The term percentile refers on
how a scores compare to the other scores from the same set.
CHAPTER 4
This chapter presented, analyzed, and interpreted all the data gathered in
this study. Presentation was done through the use of tables.
ChatGPT 5
CiCi 2
AI chat both 1
Chat on AI 1
Table 1 shows the different AI tools used by the student. The table shows
that 5 students used ChatGPT, 2 students used CiCi, 1 student used AI chat
both, and 1 student used Chat on AI. The table shows that most of the students
used ChatGPT as there learning tool.
91-100 3 90.5 12
81-90 4 80.5 9
71-80 2 70.5 5
61-70 3 60.5 3
i=10 N=12
The table 2 shows the 3rd quarter grades of the respondents, the table
shows that there were 3 grade 11 students who got a grade 91-100, 4 students
got a grade 81-90, 2 students got a grade 71-80, and 3 students who got a
grade of 61-70.
The above data shows that most of the respondents got grades of 81-90.
This implied that there were more students who got a grade lower than 90
during the 3rd quarter.
Therefore, 12.23 is at the 75th position. This means that 12.23% of the
students (12) has an average grade of less than or equal to 75.
CHAPTER 5
CONCLUSION
After analyzing the result of data, the researcher arrived with this conclusion:
AI learning tool are mostly used by the grade 11 students. Specifically, the
ChatGPT. AI learning tool seems capable of assisting students learning and
enhancing academic performance of grade 11 students in Marbel National High
School. The grade 11 students got a good grade during third quarter. The result shows
that AI learning tool have a big help on grade 11 students to do their task effectively.
