TITLE: 1. LINE FOLLOWER ROBOT

ABSTRACT

The project consists of a robotic vehicle designed to follow a desired path. This project uses a
microcontroller of the 8051 family along with an IR transmitter coupled with photo sensing pair
to keep track of the path.
The line follower robot is used in various workshops, factories .etc where unmanned vehicles
are used to follow a specific path without using tracks. Our system is used to design this line
following robotic vehicle. It contains a photo sensor pair consisting of a photo diode and IR
transmitter in each one. It helps the vehicle in finding its path along the line by signalling its
microcontroller.
2 DC motors are used which are interfaced with the microcontroller through a motor driver IC.
The signal from sensors is fed to the microcontroller which then processes it and then drives the
dc motors as programmed based on its input.
The system can be further improved by interfacing with ultrasonic sensors that will allow the
vehicle to detect any obstacles on its path.

TITLE: 2. FOOTSTEP POWER GENERATOR SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

Here we propose an advanced footstep power generator system that uses peizo sensors to
generate power from human footsteps.
The system allows for a platform for placing footsteps. The peizo sensors are mounted below
the platform to generate voltage from footsteps. The sensors are placed in such an arrangement
so as to generate maximum output voltage. This is then provided to our monitoring circuitry.
The circuit is a microcontroller based monitoring circuit that allows user to monitor the voltage
and charges a connected battery by it.
It also displays the charge generated and displays on an LCD display. Also it consists of a USB
mobile phone charging point where user may connect cables to charge mobile phone from the
battery charge. Thus we charge a battery using power from user footsteps, display it on lcd
using microcontroller circuit and allow for mobile charging through the setup.

TITLE: 3. LIFI DATA TRANSFER

ABSTRACT

LiFi technology utilizes led‟s for transmitting data. It is subsidiary of optical remote
communication technology utilizing light from Led to convey rapid communication. Apparent
light communication works by turning the Led now and again at exceptionally high velocity, it
cant be seen by the human eye.

So here we develop a data transfer system that uses the Li Fi technology. This system serves the
following advantages:
• High Speed Data Transfer
• No Wires Needed
• Reliable Communication with No Data Loss
• Low Cost of Developing the System

The system makes use of a LDR sensor module along with Atmega Microcontroller, LCD display,
basic electronics components, power supply and PCB board to develop this system. The system
allows us to use LIFI medium for data transfer. We make use of a LiFi transmitter android app to
demonstrate this concept. The app converts written text message into light flash data for
transmission. The user needs to start the app and type the message to be transmitted.

On sending the message the app controls the mobile phone flashlight to transmit the message.
The phone encodes the message into a series of flashed and transmits this data using the mobile
torch light. This light message as it falls on the LDR receiver, it is decoded and sent to the
microcontroller for processing. The atmega microcontroller decodes and processes the message
sent and then displays it over an LCD display to complete the data transmission.

TITLE: 4. ULTRASONIC GLASSES

ABSTRACT

Visually impaired people often need assistance in day to day life for navigating through their residence
and outside. Having a human assistance is not possible all the time and so a solution to this problem is
being researched from a long time.

Well here we develop a smart solution to this problem using ultrasonic glasses. Also the glasses are
fitted with vibrator rather than a buzzer as constant buzzing sound would be more of a nuisance rather
than help. The Smart Glasses would offer the following Advantages:

• Ultrasonic Based Obstacle Detection

• No Need to Carry System as it is mounted on Wearable Glasses

• Silent Vibration Alert on Glasses

• Light Weight System

The system makes use of 2 x Ultrasonic sensors, an atmega microcontroller, battery, transparent
glasses, basic electronics components and a PCB to develop this system. The glasses can now detect
obstacles and transmit this to the blind person. The ultrasonic sensors are mounted on glasses on 2 side
to act as eyes. The sensors constantly transmit and receive ultrasonic waves to receive obstacle data.
The Microcontroller is constantly getting this data from the sensors.

Based on this data the microcontroller operates a vibrator motors mounted on the respective side of the
glasses. The microcontroller scans the sensor data and the operates the vibrator motors according to
the data received in order to get a better understanding of the distance. Thus this system allows blind
person to get a more detailed idea of obstacles/objects in front of each eye using vibrations.

TITLE: 5. SMART PATROLLING ROBOT USING RASBERRY PI

ABSTRACT

Nowadays Women Safety is the biggest concern in many parts of the world. There is still a fear
in alone areas for women as well as men. So here we propose a security patrolling robot using
Raspberry PI. The system uses cameras and mic mounted on robotic vehicle for securing any
premises. The robotic vehicle moves at particular path and is equipped with camera and sound
sensors. It uses a predefined line to follow its path while patrolling. It stops at particular points
and moves to next points if sound is detected. The system uses IR based path following system
for patrolling assigned area. It monitors each area to detect any problem using combination of
two HD cameras. It has the ability to monitor sound in the premises. Robot hears Any sound
after area is quite and it starts moving towards the sound on its predefined path. It then scans
the area using its camera to detect any human faces detected. It captures and starts
transmitting the images of the situation immediately to the IOT website. Here we use IOT gecko
for receiving transmitted images and displaying them to user with alert sounds. Thus we put
forward a fully autonomous security robot that operates tirelessly and patrols large areas on its
own to secure the facility.
