    PRP PROTOCOL

    PRP must be processed in a sterile fashion and be pyrogen free.

    Preparation Process

    STEP 1 : PREPARE SET . USE PINK BRANULLA !!!! . Number of CAT tube and Conical tube varies
    according to location of treatment

    KNEE PRP only – use butterfly . If IV PRP / Face PRP – use branulla

    Step 2 : Blood Taking

    KNEE PRP

    4 x 15cc conical tubes + 2 CAT tubes

    Order

    1. Put 9cc of blood into each conical tube x2 first , then 10 cc into CAT tube x1
    2. Shake the CAT tube vigorously once blood inside
    3. Pour the blood from CAT tube into each conical tube 5cc each
    4. Repeat process to another 3 tubes
    FACE PRP

    2 x 50cc conical tubes + 1 CAT tube

    Put 25cc blood to each conical tube first + 10cc of blood into CAT tube lastly

    Shake vigorously the CAT tube and add them into the conical tubes 5cc each

    IV PRP

    2 x 50cc conical tubes + 1 CAT tube

    Put 45cc blood to each conical tube first + 10cc of blood into CAT tube lastly

    Shake vigorously the CAT tube and add them into the conical tubes 5cc each
    Step 3 : SPIN

    Must be equal on
    both sides
    ( BALANCE )

    After 1st spin

    - Take out all the conical tubes .


    - Under sterile method , poke the fibrin clot in each tubes
    - Observe for slight redish discolouration from yellowish

    Needed : 1cc syringe & 21G needle ( green )

    After 2nd spin

    - Roll each conical tube gently in between palms


    - Observe the redish discolouration move upwards
    - Start to aspirate the upper redish component and put into new conical tubes x2
    - Leave behind red cell densed particle in old conical tubes ( x4 )
    - Spin the new conical tubes instead ( x2 )

    After 3rd spin

    - Aspirate serum ( yellowish ) into 10cc syringe first.


    - Then , roll each conical tube gently in between palms
    - Start to aspirate into syringes that will be used for injection
    - Use 5cc syringe ( knee ) and 3cc syringe ( face ) and the same 21G needle to aspirate
    - Replace 21G needle with 27G ¼ needle ( grey ) for knee and 30G ½ needle for face
    - If knee, to prepare HA prior to injection for patient
    Once aspirated all into 5 cc syringe, place under UV light while awaiting patient.

    Set for Knee PRP + HA
