as follows. To those people who feel that they are up for the job…let’s battle the AKUMA
together!

A word from Supervisor Komui

Hi! Greetings every~~~one. I am the Supervisor of Black Order’s Main Branch, Komui Lee! To
the one who is looking at this, do you want to become one of our companions? (ryuu: Somehow,
companions is so weak…I want to use nakama.) What…you’re worried that the Black Order is
a scary place? No worries! This is the kind of bright working environment that would make
people passionately work until they forget to eat or sleep! (ryuu: Now I’m worried-_-“)

I Important details
Purpose
To prevent the arrival of [Three days and three nights of darkness. ]
The Millennium Earl is planning to bring about the end of this world [Three days and three
nights of darkness.] In order to change the prediction that has been carved upon the stone
box, the Black Order was established. (ryuu: Mentioned in pg 8-11 of chapter 7. Can’t
remember if translators referred to it as cube or box. I shall just use stone box)
In order the defeat the Millennium Earl, we need to gather Innocence and their
accommodators.

Location
This strong structure is erected at the boundary if Northern Europe.
Details are not clear but the Black Order is situated somewhere in the Northern part of
Europe. The structure is built on a steep faced cliff where no one would usually approach.
There is a water canal underneath the Order. Authorised personnel usually enter and exit
the building via this route.

Main activity (ryuu:INSANITY! j/k)

Support Exorcists in order to eliminate AKUMA
The focus of our activities are to support the exorcists and to eliminate AKUMA. Most of
the Order’s personnel are Finders who investigate INNOCENCE phenomena and search for
accommodators.
Fixing the exorcist’s anti-AKUMA weapons is also very important. However some people are
sceptical towards certain fixing methods….

Entrance Method
Most members enter voluntarily. Exorcists are usually forced to join.
Non-combat positions are open for application to normal people, as long as they have the
capability, anyone can join the Order. They can also change their jobs freely. However, those
who have been labelled as accommodators must join the Order no matter what. Also, the
bodies of those who have died in combat cannot be returned to their families.
The science division who have to handle large amounts of work, every single one of them
wants to change their job.
INNOCENCE accommodators will be forced into becoming exorcists. A lot of them have
sacrificed their own happiness in order to save the world.

What is this Central Vatican that set up the Black Order?
The Black Order is an organisation that has been set up on the basis to save the world with
the Pope as a centre. Now they monitor and make use of the Black Order’s activities. They’re
overly strict and overbearing (ryuu: to tell you truth, I have no clue what the words mean but
from the following sentences….). Although this does help the members, but sometimes it
shows their more ruthless side.
Like Leverrier, quite a few members treat exorcists as sacrificial lambs.
The Great Generals at the upper levels. Their appearances and abilities are unknown.
Supervisor Komui’s Rantings
The Main Branch has such comfortable living conditions that the Exorcists call it “home”. If
only people like Leverrier weren’t around, it would be even more perfect….

II Organisation
Divided into combat and support; they work all around the world.
To prevent the arrival of [Three days and three nights of darkness. ]
The Order’s members are mainly divided into combat group and the support group. The
support group is further divided according to job scope to 7 divisions. There are other
branches in other areas of the world. (ryuu: actually the book doesn’t write “combat” it
translates to “essentially action group…” but “combat” sounds cooler.)

Black Order Organisation Chart

A structure which has the Great Generals at the apex. Includes teams that have yet
to appear in the story.

*External Division: most likely helps to deal with foreign elements such as language barriers, cultural barriers
and Visas. Infocomm: Communication and Information dissemination.

Explanation of the different branches
Main Branch
Base station for the exorcists. The 7 divisions are managed and led by their individual
leaders. Job scope involves the situation in Europe and overseeing the other branches.

Supervisor
The one who holds the highest authority in the support group. Gives orders to the various
branches and divisions as well as the Exorcists. Is the control tower of the Black Order.
Current position holder is Komui Lee.

Finder Division
Scattered across the world. In charge of collecting INNOCENCE related reports.
They are spread all around the world with the purpose of searching for INNOCENCE and
accommodators. Members of this division are know as Finders, their main job is to
investigate locations based on the reports of strange phenomena received by the Order.
They tend to encounter AKUMA so they need to carry barrier-forming instruments with
them.
When travelling with Exorcists, they also have to bring the Exorcists to the location of the
INNOCENCE. It is the most dangerous task among all the 7 divisions.

Science Division
The elites who carry out INNOCENCE research and development.
Their main job is to analyse the reports that the Finders have collected, INNOCENCE
research and develop weapons and protective equipment. The division comprises of Physicists,
Biologists and professionals from various fields in order to perform research from different
aspects. Are also responsible for making the uniforms.
They have the heaviest workload! Therefore, the science division’s members are always
fatigued and exhausted…

Administration
Involved in the meals, cleaning, finance management etc of the Black Order. Their job is
similar to the administration of a normal company. The head chef Jeryy is classified under
this division.

Infocomm Division
In charge of the communication via golems between the Exorcists, Finders etc.
Announcements within the main branch are also done by them, when enemies invade the base,
they are the ones who set off the emergency alarm.

Medical Division
Their job is not limited to the Combat group and fingers. They also take care of other
injured or ill members. There is a medical ward in the main branch. It is managed by the head
nurse who oversees all the other medical staff.
Security Division
Mostly in charge of the security of the important areas such as the entrances and exits. i.e.
Main gate, water canal etc.

External Division
A channel for dealing with external affairs, such as applying for aid with various nations.
They support other members from the background.

Supporters
They support the Order from the outside. There are entire clans who become supporters,
there are also those with great financial power.

Supervisor Komui’s rantings

My supervisor duties were already there when the Black Order was created. I heard that at
that time a few people addressed the Commander as Supervisor at the commander’s office.
(ryuu: meaning that initially, there was no Supervisor, only commander. Though they carried
out the same duties.)

Side Branch
To support the members who are working on a global scale, the branches are built in
different districts. There are a total of 6 branches, each managed by their individual Branch
Heads.
As can be seen during the time Cross was brought under questioning, the position of the
Order’s Branch heads is quite high.

Asian Branch
Under the management of the one who inherited the blood of the creator of the Black
Order, Bak (ryuu: really??? Bak’s ancestors were the founding fathers of the Black Order??)
The operations of this branch takes place in an underground cathedral. It is known as the
“Home of the Holy Spirits”, and is completely surrounded by the barrier set up by the
creator of the Black Order. Another unique characteristic is the materialisation of the
Guardian Spirit, Fou. There are many members, and like the Main Branch, there are
scientists.
The great grandson of the founding father of the Black Order, Bak Chan. He has the ability
to freely control the guardian spirit in this branch.
The Asian Branch is still in the middle of expansion works. Because the Branch is so big, it’s
been said that someone has gotten lost in there for two weeks.

Member Must- haves! Developed by the Science Division
Besides INNOCENCE, the science division also developed some items for the other members.
One of which is the barrier device, it is a necessity for non-exorcist, non-combat members.
Also, there are golems. They are not limited to communication between the Order and those
outside, it can also be used for communication between members of the Order.
Barrier device: It can be used to trap AKUMA within a barrier. But the effect weakens when
it is used on AKUMA above Level 2.
Golem: A mechanical device that can fly freely through the air like a bird. It has a call
function and some are able to transmit video images.

Supervisor Komui’s rantings

The device I want to promote is “Komurin II”! It is a multipurpose machine which has been
given my brilliant brain and personality. I really wish I can get promoted and revive it.

II INNOCENCE
The “Crystallisation of God” that is required to bring salvation to the World.
Also know as “crystallisation of God”. It is a substance with really amazing powers. It is the
raw material for making anti-AKUMA weapons. There is a total of 109 of them, scattered
throughout the world. If there were no INNOCENCE, there would be no way to defeat the
Millennium Earl, therefore the Order is frantically gathering the scattered INNOCENCE.

Stone Box
The Stone Box predicted the revival of the Millennium Earl. It is also INNOCENCE. The
accommodator is Hevleska.

Type: Heart
The source of energy for all INNOCENCE. Once the Heart is destroyed, all the other 108
INNOCENCE will also be destroyed. The form of the Heart is unknown.

Unique Trait: Strange Phenomena

Before the INNOCENCE get retrieved by the Order, they usually exist in a different form.
Also, they will result in some strange phenomena, the Order will send people to the location
of these occurrences to investigate.

Use: Accommodators
The people who are able to draw out the power of the INNOCENCE are also known as
Accommodators. All the INNOCENCE have one accommodator each. If synchronisation is to
low, it's very difficult to activate the INNOCENCE.

CLOSE UP
Loss of control of INNOCENCE! The horror of being a Fallen.
If a non-accommodator with a synchronisation level of less than 0 is forced to synchronise
with INNOCENCE, he will become a Fallen. This is the punishment for the sin of non-apostles
who desire to synchronise with God, causing the body of the host to break down. Even if the
person is an accommodator, if he carries out actions that betray God, he will also become a
Fallen. This king of report is considered classified within the Order.
Suman handed over information of the Order in exchange for the Noahs sparing his life. He
ended up in a very tragic state.
Although it is forbidden now, the order once did experiments to make non-accommodators
into Exorcists.

III Exorcists
Black Clergymen who destroy AKUMA.
People who wield Anti-AKUMA weapons as INNOCENCE accommodators, are also known as
Exorcists. In order to destroy AKUMA and halt the Millennium Earl’s ambitions, they work all
around the world.

Uniform
High defense capability. They are tailor made according to the Exorcist. The Rose Cross on
their chest allows them to gain entrance to all sorts of places.

Person of the Critical Point (ryuu: Can’t they shorten it? It’s so wonderfully succinct in
Japanese!)
Exorcists who have a synchronisation level of over 100 are known as “Criticals.” (ryuu: this
sounds better…even if this word does not exist) Criticals have the potential to become
Generals. Currently, including Allen Walker, there are 5 Criticals.

Anti-Akuma Weapons
INNOCENCE is forged as weapons to battle against AKUMA. Their shape and traits differ
according to each individual. They are the only weapons that can defeat AKUMA.

“Exorcist Data” (ryuu: What was spelt was actually Exsosist Date…)
Currently, there are 14 Exorcists. (As of volume 15)

Bookmen with the right to become Exorcists
Bookman and his heir Lavi are also the rare individuals who can wield Anti-AKUMA weapons
as Exorcists. They just happened to have the ability but it doesn’t seem like they are keen to
become God’s apostles. They are considered to have a different kind of position in the Order
(ryuu: they are not treated strictly as Exorcists), and they seem to follow certain “rules”
when carrying out recording.
Bookman who is worried about Lavi being too involved with Innocence. The day where these
two leave the Order isn’t too distant?
Lavi who is wavering between caring about Allen and the rest and his duties as a Bookman.
These feeling make it easy for his enemies to have an upper hand.

Supervisor Komui’s rantings

The Exorcists’ uniforms are made by us. Ever since Allen’s arrival, there had been 3 designs!
By the way, the gear for Allen’s left arm is made by me. (ryuu:The zip thingys on Allen’s 2nd
uniform.)

V Anti-Akuma Weapons (pika318: Isn’t it supposed to be IV?)

Innocence become functional weapons after some modifications
At present, there are 3 types of anti-akuma weapons. Each of these types of weapons have
their own advantages and disadvantages. Most of them are equipment type, followed by
parasitic type, crystal types are the rarest.

The Innocence crystal which was originally in the form of a wall clock was modified into the
shape of a black record in order to control its anti-akuma abilities.

Parasitic type
The accommodator’s body becomes a weapon
When human cells merge together with the INNOCENCE to become a weapon, they are
parasitic type. Their existence is rarer compared to equipment type. Even though it’s easier
to control the INNOCENCE, but it places a greater toll on the body. The body itself is the
anti-akuma weapon.
Just like Allen’s left arm, being able to change part of the body into a weapon is one of the
characteristics. When not in battle, it remains in a human state.

Equipment type
INNOCENCE crafted to suit the accommodator
INNOCENCE crafted into weapons like a sword or a hammer are known as equipment types.
As the INNOCENCE is not directly connected to the body, it is harder to control and needs
modifications to suppress some of its power. It is the most common amongst the three types.
Kanda’s Mugen is one of the equipment types. Others include Lavi’s hammer etc, there are
many variations to their form.

Crystal type
Using blood to make the weapon
An evolved form of the equipment type, the INNOCENCE uses the accommodator’s blood to
form the weapon. As blood is used as the medium, it can release more power compared to the
equipment type. Even if the INNOCENCE is damaged, it can be repaired with the
accommodator’s blood.
Currently, the only accommodator for the crystal type is Lenalee, but it is possible for
equipment type users to evolve into crystal type as well.

Black Order: Headquarters directory

Layout of the Building, currently under construction!
The Black Order Headquarters seems to be located somewhere in Northern Europe. It is an
imposing building built on top of a cliff. The interior is divided into the few levels above and
underground, and is constantly undergoing improvements according to the current needs and
functions. It is the living space of the Exorcists and an important facility but because of
Lulubell’s attack, the decision was made to abandon the building.

Rooms of the Black Order Staff
It’s obvious whose room this is!
The top level of the tower is mostly made up of rooms of the Exorcists and the Black Order
staff. Allen and the rest live here as well.
Even though, it’s not very spacious, the decorations are very unique (full of personality)

Kanda’s room
Kanda’s gloomy and dark room. Besides the bed which is already there, no other personal
belongings were found. The flower vase stands out from the rest of the room. (pika318: The
room is also described as 杀风景，roughly translated as killing the scenery…)

Reever’s room
Science Division Leader, Reever’s room. Has the appearance typical of someone from the
Science Department. The room is filled with research papers. It seems that even after
returning to his own room, he is unable to escape from work.

Lavi and Bookman’s room

Bookman and Lavi’s room. Lavi sleeps on the bottom bunk, Bookman on top. The whole floor is
covered by stacks of books and paper containing information collected from around the world.

Allen’s room
Allen’s room was collateral damage after the incident with Komuirin, so he moved to the
storage room next to the cafeteria. He started living there after the room was modified.
This location is also good for him due to big appetite?

Lenalee’s room (never used)

The room which Komui prepared for Lenalee. It’s decorated with furniture that has Komui’s
picture printed on it. The taste in décor is really poor. Of course, Lenalee never used it at all.

Johnny’s room
Science Department Johnny Gill’s room. The mess in the room matches one of a man living by
himself. We can see many things that tell us what his interests are. He seems to enjoy life in
the Order in his own way.

Cross’ Room (Probably)

Judging from the fact that the room is filled with thick cobwebs, we can conclude that the
owner of this room has not returned for many years. The floor is littered with empty bottles,
this must be Cross’ room!

Medical Department
The floor which caters to injured people. This is an important facility for the Exorcists and
Finders who have completed dangerous missions. Even though there are many problem
children amongst the Exorcists, they will obediently listen to the Head Matron.
Baths
The large bath built under orders from Komui. Originally, all the rooms have their own
shower, but in order to foster better relations between the Order members, the bath was
built. It was designed Japanese onsen type, the effects of the hot water is unknown.

Training Dojo
The place where the members train. It has 3 floors, a big space. Kanda frequently comes
here to train, he also meditates here.

Cafeteria
A place to eat. The kitchen is located beside the cafeteria, and food can be enjoyed freshly
cooked. The skills of the head chef, Jerry, are phenomenal. He can cook anything, Japanese,
Western or Chinese cuisine. A place to rest for Black Order members.

Main door
Located at the entrance is a giant door. It is guarded by the door guard and anyone who
enters must go through a scan. Normally, those involved with the Order will enter through
the waterway.

Main Hall
The large holy hall located on the first basement. It is a symbol to Order members who work
for God. When people pass away, they will be placed in the holy hall for a while before
undergoing cremation.
After suffering huge casualties from the Noahs’ attack, the spacious hall was filled with
coffins of the sacrifices…

Conference Room
Used by the higher-ups when discussing important matters. When discussing battle plans,
the supervisor’s office is normally used. The conference room is used only when entertaining
important guests.

Laboratories
Komui’s room and the secret laboratories are located here. Komui always creates weird
things from these labs. It is uncertain if Komui actually abused some of his authority
because this place is actually quite spacious!

Science Department
The floor which houses the Science Department, the pride of the Order. It is divided into a
few levels according to ability. The scientists in the Headquarters can be considered elite
and seem to consider the area as a living space…

Supervisor’s office, surveillance room, operation room

Besides that, these facilities are connected to the Science Department. Komui’s office, a
surveillance room which can constantly monitor the interior of the Headquarters and other
technical facilities, all the important rooms are concentrated here
As repairing INNOCENCE requires certain skills and techniques, it is always done by
Supervisor Komui
Giving orders to Allen and other people, the central facility of the Order. Also comes with a
large screen.
Surveillance room. Watched by No 65 to check for intruders and other things.

CLOSE UP
The perfect elevator!
Unlike the building, which looks historical, the headquarters is filled with the latest
technology. One of these would be the reliable elevator. No one knows why a cannon was
included.
The large elevator floating in the middle of the headquarters. It has direct access to
Hevlaska’s chamber.
A small elevator used for transporting goods. It is able to access the underground facilities.

Research rooms
The level where the Science Department does experiments and research. The Exorcists’
weapons INNOCENCE are also crafted here amongst other things. Because this is a 24 hour
job, it is common to see exhausted scientists…
It occupies a very large area, the production factory from the Ark (the egg) is located here.
Suffered an attack from Lulubell, whose purpose is the recovery of the production factory
and became a battlefield
Hevlaska’s chamber
Located underground, the place where Hevlaska waits for orders. Because it is the place to
store INNOCENCE, the security is very tight.
It is the place where the Exorcists get assessed when they come to the Order.
Using the elevator to go deeper underground. The Great Generals on the right are dolls.
They serve as a communication line to Central to exchange information.

Underground waterway
Because of the dangerous terrain, the underground waterway is mainly used to enter and exit
the Headquarters. When Exorcists dispatch, row boats are used, which gives off an
unexpected traditional/ancient atmosphere
Since Allen’s first visit to the Order, he has used the waterway. The exit of the waterway.
Size of the whole waterway network is unknown.

The Headquarters surrounded by forest
The headquarters is surround by dense forest. Even though it’s a creepy forest meant to
deter intruders, the cliff needs to be climbed first before reaching the forest, so it is
impossible for normal people to mistakenly wander here.
Kanda occasionally trains in the forest. Is it because the dojo is too small?

A short summary of the Asian Branch

A large sprawling facility underground!
Amongst all the various branches of the Order, the Asian Branch is the most unique. It’s size
is a lot larger than the Headquarters and there are many members of the Order working
here as well. Allen, who was injured because the battle with Tyki, was bought here as well. It
is now easier to travel to the Headquarters due to the portal created in the Ark.

Underground facilities
The most unique feature of the Asian Branch is that most of its facilities are underground.
Even the entrance is located in a cleverly disguised cave and has not been discovered by
Akuma before (the LEVEL 3 invasion)
The Asian Branch which was made by digging underground, currently still under repair and
expansion
The interior is protected by the guardian’s power, can be freely controlled by the Chang
family with magic bloodline
Allen’s INNOCENCE in its dispersed form, filling up the whole room. In the process of the

The wall where the guardian, created by Bak’s great grandfather, sleeps. The top is sealed.

CAUTION!
Be careful not to get lost!
Even Bak, who grew up in the Asian Branch, and should logically be familiar with its interior,
can still get lost here.
