Task 2 Plot the dependence of gas well production rate versus

hydrodynamical bottomhole pressure . Evaluate maximal production

rate of the gas well.

Compositional indicator curve:
Compositional indicator curve is a combination of productivity index , based
on the Darcy’s law for the pressure above the saturation pressure and
Vogel’s ratio for the pressure below the bubble-point . Given concrete
indicator curve is useful , when reservoir pressure Pr above the saturation
pressure Pb and bottomhole pressure is below this value.

2. With the purpose to determine the production rate of the gas well and its
dependency to hydrodynamical bottomhole pressure , using the following
formula :
−4 2 2
137.5 ×10 ×k g ×h ×(Pr −P wf )
q g=
R
μ g × z × T r (ln e −0.75+ St + Dq )
Rw o

Where 𝑆t = skin factor losses (S = 0), turbulence losses Dqo – turbulence

losses
Therefore, q g max =M ( Pr2−P wf 2 ) , where
−4
137.5 ×10 × k g ×h
M= =0.012
Re
μg × z ×T r ( ln −0.75+ S t + Dq )
Rw o

And the last step is the plotting the dependence of gas well production rate
versus hydrodynamical bottomhole pressure, after determening all the
necessary points.
