In my research journey, I learned a lot from the lessons taught by our teacher, and I

applied them when we started constructing the chapters. One of my goals was to
improve my skills in writing formal paragraphs and gain confidence in writing them.
While I may not have fully achieved improvement in my writing skills, I still did my
very best and was able to complete the tasks assigned by our leader. I also asked for
some feedback from our leader to ensure that my work was on the right track and to
further enhance my skills.

I can collaborate well with my groupmates, for example, during a time when our paper
needed to be revived because it reached a point of hopelessness. We experienced
stressful and sleepless nights, coming home late at night from our groupmate's house
just to finish the paper. Despite all of that, we never gave up. We believed in each other,
worked together, and helped each other to finish and revive our research paper.
Another strength of mine is that I can handle tasks given by our leader without rushing
at the last minute because I feel too much pressure if I do it at the deadline. As they say,
research should not be crammed. Lastly, during our group meetings, I am not hesitant
to share feedback and thoughts or ideas.

However, my biggest challenge is my weakness in English writing skills, especially for

formal research papers. I struggle with English, so I often use Grammarly to ensure
there are no grammatical errors. Additionally, I lack confidence when presenting or

defensing our research paper because I am not good at speaking English fluently and I
often stumble over my words, especially when I'm nervous. Although I can speak
English, but it is not as good as others.

I manage these weaknesses by reading Wattpad stories. I encounter unfamiliar English

words, so I search for their meanings and learn new vocabulary. I also search YouTube
for tutorials on how to write formal paragraphs and improve my English skills. For
grammar, I use Grammarly to lessen grammatical errors. To boost my confidence, I
practice speaking English alone in my room and also practice English chitchat with my
classmates to overcome my shyness.
If I had the opportunity to learn these courses again, I would not become complacent
just because we received many compliments on our paper. In reality, Rogayan's
definition of socio-cultural challenges was incorrect. Our paper only managed to pass
Research II by chance.I am grateful to our teacher Ms. Angel for helping and believing
in us to revive our paper. Lastly, I/we would always seek guidance and feedback from
our teacher at every step to ensure that our work is correct.
