3. Course Aims
By the end of the course the student will be able to:
▪ Build the student background in issues related to mechatronic systems design and
integration.
▪ Help students develop a thorough understanding of the analysis and design of different
mechatronic systems.
▪ Increase students’ hands-on practice in applying mechatronic design methodologies and
sub-domain integration techniques in developing successful mechatronic systems.

4. Program Competencies Served by Course

By the end of this course, student should be able to:
▪ C1m. Illustrate the basic concepts and theories of mathematics, sciences, engineering
Projection and their applications within the field of mechatronics engineering.
▪ C3m. Identify and classify the performance of mechatronic systems and components through
the use of analytical methods and Modelling techniques.
▪ C5m. Design a mechatronic system using a systems approach to meet a given specification
and requirements.
▪ C6m. Integrate a wide range of analytical tools, techniques, equipment, and software packages
to design and develop mechatronic systems.
▪ C7m. Exercise creative approaches to the analysis and solution of problems in mechatronic
engineering.

5. Learning Outcomes (LOs)
