Study and Work

Name:
Nationality: Vietnamese
Do you prefer university to school?
I quite enjoy the bustling environment at university because when I
come up here everything is quite comfortable without time constraints, I
meet and play with a group of friends which is great, I also have the
opportunity to meet many different people and learn a lot of things. So I
prefer university to school

Favourite subject at school: English is one of my favorite subjects. This is

a compulsory subject for students from grade 3 and above. Today,
English is more and more popular, so it is a vital subject and must be
learned. English brings us many opportunities such as to advance my
career, to have great exposure to a different culture,…

Bachelor’s degree: I study at the University of Finance and Marketing

and major in Marketing Communication. This is a particularly popular
major at my university with amazing faculty and curriculum so i really
enjoy it. And I chose my major because I have some characteristics that I
think I accord it such as the creation, an ability to understand and
empathize with people, and I am very responsive to new trends

Dream job:
Now I would like to tell you about my dream job
It is the job of a marketer who works in a big company as a nine-to-five
white-collar worker.

In this job, I will have to apply some marketing methods to trigger

customers’ demand as well as convey the message of the product, and
the brand to the customers. I think the message is more important than
the demand because it guarantees the long-term interest of the
customers and they will buy the product over again.

To be suitable for this job, I need to complete my major in marketing

communications and graduate with a good bachelor's degree or higher.
Personally, I need to have a strong personality and even be a little crazy
with some creativity to come up with the most unique ideas for
advertising. In addition, I’m also learning some other skills such as
photography, design to be able to complement my career in the future.
This job is perfect for me because I will be the one who decides how the
brand’s message will reach the clients so that the value of the product is
decently conveyed. Moreover, this job allows me to form a bridge of
trust between the brand to customers. You know, trust these days is
quite hard to gain. Once we have it, the success will be ours.

That’s all I would like to say about my dream job.

Environment
Is there much pollution where you live?
Yes, of course, you know, I am currently living in Ho Chi Minh City - one
of the most developed and bustling cities in Vietnam. Many people
have gravitated to this city to live and build manufacturing factories. It’s
noticeable that exhaust fumes from moving vehicles and CO2
emissions from factories are the leading causes of poor air quality.

Do you take an interest in nature?

Sure, I lived in the country with my family when I was a little girl, so I had
many opportunities to commune with the natural environment. Even
though I have moved to the city now and don't get back to nature as
often as before but I am still into the natural world so much and do
everything I can to protect it.

Are residents in your town good at recycling waste?

According to my observations, the people around me do not have the
habit of recycling waste. They throw trash everywhere and most
domestic as well as industrial waste is incinerated for the sake of
convenience.

Describe an environmental problem in your hometown

Well, I come from HCM city and I have lived there all my life. Actually,
there are a number of environmental contamination problems in this
city, especially air pollution.
From my viewpoint, overpopulation and the unplanned
industrialization of this city are the two main causes of poor air quality.
More and more people are flocking there in search of job opportunities.
This means there are always a large number of vehicles on the road
every day and they continuously release a lot of emissions into the
environment.
Besides that, to save costs, many manufacturing plants still do not have
a reasonable waste treatment system, and most business owners
choose to burn waste instead of recycling them, causing a significant
increase in CO2 emissions. As a consequence, the number of urban
dwellers suffering from pneumonia or other respiratory diseases has
been quickly growing in recent years.
However, I believe there are still some possible measures that can help
improve air quality in urban areas like Ho Chi Minh City. For example,
the government can promote urbanization, so that young people can
have good job opportunities in their own hometowns and limit the
population explosion in big cities. In addition, the government should
also enact strict laws to deal with cases of excessive emissions released
by manufacturing plants.

Season
What’s your favourite season?

I guess it depends on personal taste of each person. For me, I like winter
because of its cool air, I don't sweat in winter, I do some winter activities
like eating ice cream in the cold, wrapping a blanket and watching
movies

Describe favorite season

I love the rainy season the most for some reasons. And in Vietnam it the
most enjoyable season that lasts for a couple of months beginning
around the end of April to the end of October

In my opinion, the rainy season is the best season of the year. Nature is
filled with joy. It rains around the day. In most cases, people do not have
a way to get out of the home and enjoy an unexpected holiday. Besides,
taking traditional meals is a great way to enjoy the days of this season.

This is a very special season. The weather is calm and the sun is not that
much hot like the other seasons. Usually, in summer or in the other
seasons, it is really hot here in Vietnam. Only it is the rainy season that
brings a sense of comfort among the people of the land. The sky remains
dark and sometimes it is cloudy. Clouds float across the sky. The entire
nature turns peaceful. When it rains suddenly, the regular activities
come to a halt. People start seeking shelter for them.

This is a season that is softer in nature than the other seasons. In fact,
the monsoon in Vietnam is a kind of blessing for the people. But when it
floods, the locals need to take precautionary measures to deal with the
flood. Besides, the rainy season varies from year to year. It does not rain
all day long. But there are some intervals during the rain. Traveling
becomes cheaper during this season. The tourist spots become less
crowded during monsoons in Vietnam. So, it is economical for travelers
in this country during the rainy season. Moreover, the cool weather in
this season helps to refresh the minds of the locals and outsiders. So, it
is an expected season here.

Monsoon is my favourite season for some certain aspects. First of all,

this is the season when the temperature is under complete control.
Moving into the city becomes easier. There are fewer people in the
street. The restaurants and bars provide a better service at this time
than the ordinary days. Travelling on a rainy day provides an outstanding
experience. Since all the places are empty, you can enjoy thoroughly and
take part in the outdoor activities without any hassle. The most
important aspect of this season is the beautification of nature. Nature
turns a striking look. The photographers crowd in the city to take
pictures of various locations and scenic places, particularly the skies. I
am also a photographer and have taken many nice shots of nature.
Based on all the facts, the rainy season is my favourite season.
