ET 121 Microcontroller and IoT

Credits: 3 (3-0-0)
Pre-requisite for Analog electronics, Digital Electronics, Basic programming concepts.
this course:

Course Objective: The course aims to:

∙ Let the student know first what is microcontroller (MC).

∙ How a manual calculator turned into automatic and does data handling with MC.

∙ To know the architecture, interfacing and in-depth design of MC using ALP and
HL.

Course Outcome: On completion of the course, a student should be able to:

∙ Analyze and justify different generations of microcontrollers and IoT sensors and
devices.
∙ Able to do Machine level and Assembly level language programming and some
high level too.
∙ Capable of interfacing many modules with both MC using proper interfacing
medium and leading to IoT.
∙ Understand the limit and capabilities of different Hardware applications and HW
boards.
∙ Develop hobby and major projects with personal satisfaction. ∙ Expound
proper selection of devices for their firm.
