MRKT 3013 Debate - Team Contract
Below, you'll find our team's essential norms and behaviors crucial for the success of our project. All
team members have unanimously endorsed these norms and behaviors, acknowledging their
accountability to fellow team members.
We believe in respecting individual differences and utilizing them for the success of our team.
We will set our own deadlines within the team, in addition to the deadline specified in the
Dropbox and will be understanding of each member's schedule.
Our team meetings will be punctual and will not exceed 20 minutes. The agenda of the meeting
will be determined prior to the scheduled time.
All team members will comply with academic integrity and ensure that our work is free from any
plagiarism before submission.
We will keep all team members informed, especially in cases where we cannot attend class due
to unforeseen circumstances.
Each group member's roles and responsibilities will be clearly defined, and we will foster
teamwork to achieve our goals.
In addition to our team norms, we collectively commit to the goals outlined below. These objectives aim
to facilitate our learning and development of technical and interpersonal skills throughout this
assignment.
We will work cooperatively with all group members to meet group goals.
We will attend all classes and scheduled meetings.
We will take the initiative and suggest ways to contribute to the group’s success.
We will share the group's workload.
We commit to meeting the established deadlines by providing well-researched, organized, and
fact-based information. Our submissions will be meticulously written, free from grammar errors,
adhering to the agreed-upon format.
Each of us will assume the CEO role and listen attentively to both lead and follow respectfully.
If someone must be absent from a scheduled meeting, he/she will contact the group and suggest
ways in which he/she may make up for the absence.
We will be open to each other’s ideas, suggestions, and feedback.

We will keep all members in the communication loop and update each other’s progress on
individual assignments.
We will leverage each other’s strengths to learn from each other and help address our weaknesses
to further develop ourselves as a member of the team.
We will collectively work on improving our time management skills, ensuring efficient use of time and
resources throughout the debate.
We will participate in conflict resolution workshops to enhance our ability to navigate and resolve
conflicts constructively.
We want to achieve a mark of A+ on this assignment.
If team members do not meet the above agreed-upon goals, the following actions will be enforced.
First consequence – The group member concerned will be meeting with the whole group and help
address the group member’s area of difficulty.
Second consequence – The group member will be reported to the instructor and will receive 50% of the
group’s mark.
The contract ensures all members meet individual and group goals to complete the project successfully.
