    Upgrading IBM SPSS Version

    If you already have SPSS 27 or 28 installed, follow the steps below to upgrade to SPSS 29. If you have
    SPSS 25 or 26, you will need to upgrade version 29, as licenses for SPSS 25/26 are no longer available.

    You MUST uninstall the current version of SPSS before updating the version. If you are unfamiliar with
    uninstalling software, use these resources for Windows or Mac to learn the process. After uninstalling,
    restart your computer before continuing to the next step.

    Access the University


    Services Module the same
    way you access your courses
    either by clicking on the
    Select a course (waffle) icon
    in the NCUOne top
    navigation bar or from the My
    Courses widget. The
    University Services Module is
    not available in your Contacts
    widget.

    In the Table of Contents, click


    on the Student Technology
    Resource Center and then
    click on Student Webstore.

    Webstore and be taken to the
    Homepage.

    Locate and click the icon for


    IBM SPSS Statistics 29. If
    the icon does not show on
    the Homepage, the software
    can be located by using the
    search bar.

    Choose the appropriate


    platform, Windows or Mac,
    and then click Add to Cart.

    Once added to cart, click


    Check Out. (Price should
    reflect Free).

    Click the reCAPTCHA box
    and then the Continue button.

    A confirmation number will


    show the transaction is

    downloading and may be
    available from the icon in the
    top right of the browser, from
    the browser’s downloads
    area, or in your downloads
    folder in Windows File
    Explorer. Find the file and
    open it.

    After opening the file, you will


    be prompted to activate
    SPSS. Select the option for
    Launch License Wizard.

    Move through the


    InstallShield Wizard until you
    get to the section Enter
    Codes.
    Paste the code into the top
    box and then click Add.

    The code should now be


    visible in the bottom box.
    Click Next.

    If successful, the Internet


    Authorization Status page
    should report "Successfully
    processed all codes." Click
    Next.
    In the next window, click
    Finish. The process is
    complete.
