CSE 307L: MICROPROCESSOR BASED SYSTEM DESIGN LAB

Credit Hours: 1
Contact Hours: 3
Grading: As per UET Rules

1. COURSE OUTLINE:
MBSD Lab is focused on the principles and practices of modern Microprocessor Based Systems
Design. In this Lab, Intel’s 8051 Microcontroller and other supporting hardware is used to learn
how to design, build, and program embedded systems. In this Lab, assembly and C languages are
used to program 8051 microcontrollers to create novel products and solutions for real time
problems by learning the interfacing of external devices to microcontroller such as LCD and
Keyboard. In this lab. I/O port programming, timer programming and serial port programming
are also covered.
