Module 2 Windows 10 - Lab Exercises-1 & 2
LAB-1 Exercise (Files and Folder Management, Move & Copy, Snapshot)
1. Create a folder in “C” drive of your PC with name as your ID number followed by # and Section
Number. (Example: 45160001#Section1)
Note: This folder, which you have created, is where you will keep all your course work this semester
and it will be referred always as by the name “ID” folder.
2. Create 4 sub folders in your “ID” folder which you created above with the names given below:
1) Sub-folder-1 name as “MODULE-2-WINDOWS”.
2) Sub-folder-2 name as “MODULE-3-WORD”.
3) Sub-folder-3 name as “MODULE-4-EXCEL”.
4) Sub-folder-4 name as “MODULE-5-WINDOWS”.
3. Create a subfolder in the “MODULE-2-WINDOWS” folder with name “WIN-LAB1”.
4. Create a subfolder in the “WIN-LAB1” folder with name “RCYCI”.
5. Create three subfolders in the RCYCI folder with name as “YTI”, “YIC” and “YUC”.
6. Create a new word document file in the “YTI” folder with filename as “RECORD”.
7. Open the “RECORD” word document file and enter the following information:
NAME: AMJAD (Write your Name)
ID: 4510001 (Write your ID number)
SECTION#1 (Write your Section Number)
Note: Save the file after you write the three lines
8. Copy the “RECORD” file located in “YTI” folder to the “YIC” and “YUC” sub folders.
9. Using Snipping Tool, take a screenshot of the ID folder showing the 3 folders you created in RCYCI
folder using File Explorer as shown below and save it in WIN-LAB1 folder with filename as PIC1:
3. Take a screenshot of your desktop using the Print Screen (PrtSc) button.
4. Open the Paint program, and paste the screenshot you have taken above and save with filename as
“IMG-1” in WIN-LAB2 sub folder.
6. Take screenshot of the desktop again and save the screenshot using Paint program with filename as
“IMG-2” in WIN-LAB2 sub folder.
7. Try to move Word, Excel & PowerPoint icons on your desktop to the right side as shown below:

“IMG-3” in WIN-LAB2 sub folder.
