You are on page 1/ 17

15:04:03 We always believe that, you know, everybody should start your the business at least once.

In the lifetime.

15:04:03 Okay, yeah, so, we share with you the journey and also we invite a lot of entrepreneur
joining us also.

15:04:08 And, he actually also running few companies and he's the young entrepreneurs. Right?
Okay, very good.

15:04:17 And, I would like to introduce to you our operation director,

15:04:26 Hello.

15:04:27 Yeah, you want those say something to them?

15:04:29 Yes, okay. Hello everyone. Good afternoon. Welcome to as the EI.

15:04:37 You. And, become. Be a part of state i. And I hope.

15:04:45 All of you the best enjoy your learning and journey with I. Thank you.

15:04:49 Okay, thank you very much. And I, you again, we operate as an international team. We are
global operation.

15:04:56 I'm using a And II think you know, small, right? So I don't need to mention that which
passing up.

15:05:06 Oh, I just think. Okay, not like in the, right? Yeah. And the, is from Hong Kong.

15:05:09 Right, yeah, and of course, Anopra and Jaya. Okay, I think waiting for Charlie to join, right?

15:05:17 Yeah, If I'm in the, okay, yeah, and always, you know, during the Monday session, we will
share with all of you.

15:05:26 Okay, yeah. And always, you know, during the Monday session, we will share with all of you
about few thing.

15:05:29 One is the operation I you share with all of you about few thing one is the operational IU
and the second thing is the operation I you and the second thing is that also some of the
entrepreneurship sharing And I myself, I'm operating, I've been doing my pieces for almost 30 open
years.

15:05:37 Hey, I enjoyed to be entrepreneurs. Right? And many of you, I know that you are working or
you are about to look for job or some of you already started your business, right?

15:05:48 So with colors of what we're doing, I always need education is very important. You're not
only learning the management.

15:05:56 You see the management is just a skill. Right, you might apply management in many, many
in. Right?

15:06:04 So I saw even you manage your home, your family. He's a, isn't it?

15:06:10 I assume that you're managing your time, you're managing your resources. Hi, Yeah, of
course, I hope one day you are able to grow.
15:06:18 Your direction, your future. Hey, maybe you're able to even grow your wealth. We all know
that Indonesia is growing very fast.

15:06:28 In fact, Asia is going very fast. And you should not miss the opportunity in Asia. You'll also
enormous opportunity in growing Indonesia.

15:06:40 This is, IT, IT, IT, IT, IS, a, LIKE, IT, A, I, you, on, goal, is, a, really, bring, education to everyone.

15:06:45 And, okay, that will, Right? And we make use of a lot of technologies. I always say that
technology is double source.

15:06:53 Right, yeah, so, where we are enjoying the operation IT and, you know, in the past.

15:06:58 One year, they are 2 per oh and recently we have a big crash, the server. So we'll just go
down, okay? Yeah.

15:07:06 So, then we check, in fact, we do a lot of, we do a lot thing, but, according to Amazon, you
know, we find that actually there's a certain type we have failed.

15:07:14 And we'll give we call for account that we cover. Without the data. So just have a whole
entire new server.

15:07:21 So give us a very difficult situation. And we need to set up the system, but because it's
talking about updating.

15:07:27 And luckily our data is still there but still take a long time for us to be. Okay, yeah, so, sorry
for the, for the disturbance.

15:07:38 And then at the same time, we also decided to move because basically we have 2 system,
voice our student management system SMS recall the other one is the Right, so luckily the, is all
right.

15:07:50 It's all we try to. And the other important information okay thank you gyre for the help okay
so actually we're just keying log all the just call into your learning system okay and then add another
team head by team and try to restore the SMS system right so and i just mentioned that before
within a longer time because it's quite a complicated system.

15:08:13 And now, then we manage, okay, we manage to recover back. It's why we open back to all
of you and thank you for the testing right so look like that is still that is okay but new.

15:08:25 Siza I think we need to set up to a subset of something that the new to the Alopa and Jaya
so that they can register.

15:08:31 Okay, yeah, so I think majority 95% of the system is bad. So we just need to, you know,
touch on.

15:08:39 Alright, so the same thing is that we have improved our disaster recovery plan so this time
you have seen problem hopefully we are able to restore back the system even faster.

15:08:52 Okay, yeah. So of course, you know, they will buy a lot of investment in the hardware.

15:08:58 Right? Yeah. Okay, so now I enjoy this to our Jaya. Jay is our operation manager.

15:09:03 And You can ask me a question about, hey, what's the difference between, and Jaya, right?
15:09:13 Basically, Anoka, as a operation director. He would be the person that work very closely
with the Ministry of Education.

15:09:18 One of the critical tasks that you need to do is to make sure that you successfully registered
in your ministry or education.

15:09:25 That's why he always asks you to submit. The information. Right, yeah. And, of course, the
other way is that you work closely with the customer.

15:09:35 IIII said, we saw, you also took a local advice as well. Right, so I don't think you may want to,
just mention about, documentation and remind them, what they need to do.

15:09:50 Yes, correct sir. I have especially for a new student, you submit, your documents soon,
because, we will input to pay addictive.

15:10:07 It's very important. After you submit your book And, then you, can,

15:10:17 III will give you, ID, ID, and then you check your name.

15:10:23 On very dictate. Yes, thank you.

15:10:27 Thank you. Yeah, okay. Yeah. So back to, as a manager, he will be, working with me very
closely to managing, to, Right?

15:10:42 So, and he will be also working away from saving our IT team by some of the recent cases in
the system crash, right?

15:10:50 So, we managed to recover the system, but, there's a lot of data we do, right?

15:10:56 So all of, the, will be helping it. And also we decide the key in somebody's calling through
the, you learning system.

15:11:03 Then of course you know the other way is that, Jaya will be also working, with their
company, who keep track because, the account department, we keep track of the ongoing
statements, right?

15:11:14 So, it's payment and we allowed the student to pay by installment and of course you know
we also need to need you all to cooperate to pay the instrument on time right yeah otherwise we
have they would affect.

15:11:26 In your learning journey or so. Right. Yeah, so I pass through, China to, you know, just, share
with them about your room.

15:11:35 Okay. Yeah.

15:11:37 Okay, so.

15:11:40 Yeah, thank you. And

15:11:47 Or was joining us this one. Welcome to. U.

15:11:54 We have that if we want everything, if you can enjoy your, So apart from. Thank you.

15:12:05 Yeah.

15:12:08 Accounting. But yeah I also have to. Input some of the
15:12:18 Dot the connection but your like this, and also semester fees. So I want to. Remind all of
you that if you are already paid Thank you.

15:12:39 Hmm.

15:12:35 Please inform us. Received to us so we can update your Not. Okay. Thank you.

15:12:48 I guess by the 12.

15:12:49 Thank you. Yeah. So, Jaya, and me also, we work very closely in the academic assessment.

15:12:55 So for those who are submitted assignment, right, most of, most of the time I think we
encouraging you to submit online.

15:13:02 Because that would be a proof at the same time that would be able to chat with your score,
right?

15:13:08 But some reason that you have a problem, that you did the topic, right? And in China, we
also, we go through a model, moderation process.

15:13:17 Right, we do a marking up there, and then we lead to assess. At the same time, we do, and
Right, so, the market expect, it's also upcoming, for those you are, some of the S 2 student and, I' to
them congratulations.

15:13:35 You have completed the journey, most of the journey. So, total, I think you know that we
got 15, Yeah, so when you finish for the subject except the faces and you will start the concentration.

15:13:47 Okay, this month will be fucking concentration and each of you have different
concentration. So what we do is we will be creating a WhatsApp group.

15:13:58 Okay, each of you according to the concentration you sign up you will join. Okay, yeah, you
have anything to say?

15:14:08 Oh yes, yes.

15:14:12 Okay, okay. Or everyone to this year understand I will talk in For those, yeah. Thanks for the
competitive for our Subtake.

15:14:30 From a recept. In a U or S. They already rebel herself. For the

Oke thank you sou operasi daging batu
yuk.

15:16:29 Oke siap oke thank you thank you thank you the was the worldset and by study this is five
this is good dari ustad slamet rizieq poin sampo tiba sanapol consentration action the world

15:16:51 sector consentation education Consentation Go oke ya.

15:16:56 Na occal s know is i think we ad dow you mas.

15:16:59 Right, I'm talking about a master student because it could still take some time to start your
concentration, right?

15:17:06 I'm talking about masters. You will still take some time to start your concentration, right?
I'm talking about master's student. Right?

15:17:08 I'm talking about master's student. So you based on what you had signed up, right?

15:17:10 And you're not so sure you can refer to your letter. Right, so we practice open.

15:17:17 Study, right? So you, let's say if I'm the consumer education, you click the education, you
will go to one sample.

15:17:23 I will be complicated with you. Okay, and as I mentioned, concentration is a still study. We
don't have zoom class.

15:17:30 Right, yeah, sales study and basically, you need to attend the, e-learning.

15:17:37 Will be, will keep track with me. Because we know that whether you have completed the
video, right?

15:17:44 Okay, when you complete that, then we will give you, you know, you will have the you
would pass it except you will pass the subject no external assignment We don't want to give you a,
stress, right?

15:18:00 You must cast all the major subjects. Okay, a concentration is additional for me. Okay,
understand, right?

15:18:08 Yeah, and, and, so I will be setting up very soon. You have any question, then you will also,
you know, you can check with them.

15:18:15 Are these again? Yeah, they are the few criteria, right? I don't call you one highlight for
those who join apart from 14, the 14, subject, right?

15:18:26 So Charlie, you want to emphasize who can join the concentration now.

15:18:45 Except the thesis.

15:18:32 Okay, for those can join the concentration is. The one already finished there. Hi, Okay, so
Yeah, except this is.

15:18:50 So they must conflict more subject until the methodology of research.
15:18:57 Hey, can continue to be concentrations of checks.

15:19:03 Hey, in the, subjects, Oh. In the learning system in learning system. So, no, no zoom plus so
you can enjoy through your video you know, provide the Okay, yes.

15:19:28 It's all so quickly.

15:19:30 Okay, good. Okay. So, I know, Pop, and Napolo, do you have any, I need a comment.

15:19:37 Who know, the concentration actually can lead them into UK master if they want, right? You
may want to, also share.

15:19:45 I'm mute. Okay. Oh, so actually that is a, I will say that's, ideas because, for, the time that
we beat.

15:19:57 Concentration is, is near least we are, we are following up by the UK. Universities or UK
qualification center which for the for the like modules that they have they call it modules like
education they have 6 more jokes for the level sevens department for the OTH and for and for
differences is also also like sex module and then we transfer it into in the AGE

15:20:28 to become one of the concentrations. And the education. I'd be happy if some of them,
some of you might be studying or going to study as to like education.

15:20:37 I'd be happy if some of them, some of you might be studying, or going to study as to like
education for them.

15:20:40 Some of you might be studying or going to study as to like education for connotation. Yeah,
that is the part.

15:20:41 So you're going to study as to like education for connotation. Yeah, that is the part.

15:20:49 So you study exactly the same modules. Yeah, that is the part. So you study exactly the
same modules that's from ODHM, that which means that's from UK.

15:21:01 Yeah.

15:21:01 So actually you can decide to study exactly the same modules. That's from ODHM, that
which means that's from UK.

15:21:06 So actually you can decide to study, for and then you can also, to talk a lot.

15:21:07 Let's say to going to study in the UK, qualification. So that is the brilliant idea.

15:21:12 And this is the development for the if you want to join the Thank you.

15:21:20 Thank you. Yeah, okay. Yeah. And Luka, you have anything to add on about the
concentration?

15:21:30 Maybe I just remind for our Maybe, everyone has to me. How many it's for subject.

15:21:44 We have 3 S guys. It's subject to totally, for 1515 subject.

15:21:50 Totally. After you finish 30 or 10 subject you can pick.

15:22:04 Okay.
15:22:02 Yeah. Yeah, but of course you know we are encouraging for those they have finished the
major because if we start to their major because if we start to the major because if we start to the
your concentration right and then you get a lot concentrate.

15:22:19 So you start the concentration but you can concentrate and then you need you cannot. So
you start the concentration but you can concentrate and then you need you cannot finish your major
subject.

15:22:22 Yeah, so we're saying that, officially as, I'm not, that I saw you, you, you complete the 10,
subject, right?

15:22:32 You will get your SKUs, you know, but I'm encouraging you. To based on my year and we're
encouraging you all to finish complete all your subjects.

15:22:39 All your 14 subject 1 4. Then you start your conversation so that you concentrate your
concentration and then you do your physics at the same time.

15:22:49 Okay, yeah, so, we keep you and I'm, you know, remember that the concentration is mainly
for you to apply your management skill into that industry.

15:23:01 But for example, you start your concentration in the health care, right? But then you, you
know, then you're able to, you know, Export your career or you're already in the health industry.

15:23:12 Okay, and some of you.

15:23:15 So the world on the consentation very wish oke ya so i think out the was it ada the double
dan consentration link white chocolate.

15:23:50 I don't have any concentration. Okay, there's a 2 impact. The first impact is that when you,
you know, because we, our county, we check, right?

15:24:00 So you find that you are not signing up with the community, you have that is additional
cost. Is one thing.

15:24:06 Then the second thing is that I think you should configure the concentration. And also, you
know, at the end when you get, right?

15:24:13 You will get the, we just update transcript with, those, subject that we saw still subject,
right?

15:24:20 And we won't be keeping the mark yet until the end that entrepreneurship this is English
life coaching skill all this thing is ongoing until the end of your of the study, right?

15:24:32 Then we'll give you a mark. So not now. And with your concentration, subject
concentration. Okay, yeah, so, I think for focusing on what you do.

15:24:42 And of course, you know, we believe that all of you have the discipline. And focus on what
you have and you find that you wanna sign up more on that you can let your, Jaya, Bruno, right?

15:24:56 So of course, you know, there's a certain cost as well. How do you understand the situation?

15:25:00 So any question, okay, yeah, and, before I pass over, okay, I think we send it with a very
interesting situation about the system, problem, right?

15:25:11 So, our IT director, is around. Hi, you.

15:25:17 Hello, hello.

15:25:19 Yeah, I think it's a very good experience for all of us. So, hopefully we, we can have 100%
recover, but now I think 90% is already.

15:25:30 Will be silly to do some minor thing to make it have perfect right but I think I will pass the
team to share with you about the experience and hope that this time experience that we can apply.

15:25:40 Okay, to you one day you are running a system and then you, you know, you, something you
face a similar situation, right?

15:25:47 I think it's a very good experience.

15:25:50 Okay. Basically, what happened is the, Initially the.

15:25:59 The because this is actually, number one, give you the background for. So. You is running on
a.

15:26:11 On a what press. I think all of you know. You access to the website and then you lock in.

15:26:17 So the application is a plugin. It's a WordPress plugin. So, he's not written by me, so it's
written by someone, someone out there.

15:26:29 Oh yeah, developer, okay.

15:26:28 Developer. We got another software team to develop the solution. Yeah.

15:26:33 Yeah. So. So what happened is that The, WordPress was hosted, I mean, it was, in a
container.

15:26:46 I think, I think some of you probably don't understand the But the one, nevertheless, it's
okay.

15:26:52 So, the container sees on a server. So, somehow the server, one of the had this, I wouldn't
say how these, all the It crash.

15:27:06 Okay. So they crash being AWS you start to recover Alright, so you recover another.

15:27:15 SSD for you because, if you are even know all these clocks of these right so is a all by a
location.

15:27:23 That means. They have, is, a, actually you look at it, it's, it's a virtual virtual kind of
environment.

15:27:33 So it's a butcher this so Physically, probably they have like need maybe thousands of
terabyte or even more okay this then they'll locate a certain size for you so since one of one of the
One of the, why you call the, much of this allocated to you crash then you just recover another one
for you.

15:28:00 Annoyingly if you get recovered it means that things inside there is already disappeared
Alright and, and we did not do any backup for all these, things.

15:28:13 Fortunately. The. What press you sell is all their data are returned into the database.

15:28:22 So the database, you not crash, okay? So, also fortunately, No, not, by design.
15:28:30 We separate the Data base from the server. SID, Sun, I think, You always don't put the
database together in one server.

15:28:41 So So, the database will survive. So, what happened is that, the, we need the WordPress,
the site, all the container.

15:28:50 Got all the data is during the database. So, after that, and, since we know that is, been
crash.

15:29:02 And I look at the server, I find that, it's not a, i decided to move the Move it out from a
container to a physical installation rather than a container installation.

15:29:16 Because I also try to bring up the container again and then you find that there is some
issues okay so I decided to move it instead of having a container.

15:29:31 Discarded the container and then reinstall a physical, version of the WordPress and point
back to the database.

15:29:40 Okay, which is, most of the data are being recovered. I think this morning, Totopatri update
to me from a developer is that.

15:29:51 Okay, the versions because it's a plug in right so we need to install the plugin So the plugin
version in the.

15:29:59 Any all server is old version and I don't know because these are We don't have the old
version plugin anymore.

15:30:10 So I actually uploaded a new version. So somehow it causes the the problems assessing the
data probably then we find out that the from the developer that the new version, Oh, there's some
logic different.

15:30:29 Okay, so, currently I think, Dr. Patrick has, spoken to the developer.

15:30:35 I think he know the way to fix it. what is good is that, being a WordPress or the most of the
stuff are actually in the database.

15:30:48 Probably there are some missing, which is like the images, maybe some PDF file, it's
uploaded.

15:30:54 Of we generated those are in the server. So. Of course, currently we also deploy the, the
daily.

15:31:07 So called the backup of the system. So, it's run automatically. You will, run daily and then,
around, midnight.

15:31:16 And then you keep for 7 days okay so many other 7 days you will roll over . We did not do
that because he's a he's a container so it's a different server so

15:31:31 Also, we don't expect I.

15:31:34 Yeah, also, we didn't expect because we are, we are also testing the system whether As IMS
is a good system to use and all these things.

15:31:42 So. Once you have test study then we probably totally forgot about it. We just use it. As
usual until and this other something happens.
15:31:50 So Now we put in the backup in place so You if anything happen again. i mean we were able
to recover it i'm not sure whether 100% or not but at least you can recover it you know, from, from
these, The other good thing is that because most of the time in the database so There is always
room.

15:32:13 There's all, most of the data are there. So it won't be, it won't, get lost, you know.

15:32:20 So if you understand, what pressure, WordPress, well. You know that those images uploads
those are uploaded to the server.

15:32:30 It's not in the database. Alright, the rest of the information are in the database voice and
even your pages that you're created.

15:32:37 In the in the WordPress is all in the database. So, so, that means that if you, If you, bring
back your WordPress and point back to the old database, you were able to get that, most of the most
I didn't say all of the things, most of the things.

15:32:58 Because the uploaded the images and other files I mean like PDF files, images and those are
not in the Database.

15:33:10 Those are in the or press that actually. Container's direction. Okay. You know, I mean the
contain direction, So a couple of things.

15:33:23 You install that, then you install your Plucking will be in the content directory also.

15:33:30 But, plugin is easy because once you bring back the, WordPress server, I just download the
plug in and you install it back.

15:33:39 We'll do usually is, back work compatible, but in such a case. I think the developer have
make some upgrades.

15:33:49 Make some changes to the functionality or the SMS system. So that's why he's no 100%
that were compatible.

15:33:58 So maybe you need to do some adjustment. I'm not sure. It's good that every one of you,
once is, top of, Say that it's okay to go in, you can go in and take a look.

15:34:08 And then, any issues to, to the Patrick and myself. So that we can ask the developer to get a
fix.

15:34:18 I'm not sure, because I don't, I don't use the system.

15:34:21 So I don't know how it functions. I think it's best that, you let top of Patrick know and then I
also want to learn from in the process.

15:34:31 So, yup. Fortunately, is there's no, no, and we don't have the key and everything.

15:34:42 Yeah, but now with the with the pack up in place i think we will hopefully Of course, yeah, if
you happen, I think we should able to recover it now very quickly.

15:34:56 Okay. Okay, so talk about it. Where is the time being spent? Okay, the time is being spent to
test out.

15:35:03 The recreation of the WordPress to the database whether that is being okay.
15:35:14 So, the most of the time, being spent is using back the old server with the, the existing
container, which is II have created the images of the container.

15:35:24 So when I bring you back, I try to. use it from there, but the problem, the, there's us other
cliches.

15:35:32 And then, of course, the, also have a little bit of problems. So this I decided to.

15:35:39 To teach out the whole server and then recreate that a new server again. So that is the
most of the time being spent.

15:35:46 In fact, the time being spent on the checking on the data is, in fact, I think you took us like
maybe 1, 2 days we found was a problem.

15:35:56 Right. Can we speak to the developer and then Trying to, get a result. Okay, yeah, I think
that's about all.

15:36:05 Yeah.

15:36:07 Thank you very much, Exciting, weekend journey. Okay. Yeah, so, JI want to spend, your,
there, you spend, the whole weekend in keying data like checking Jaya for the share.

15:36:23 Yeah, Yeah.

15:36:27 He working all day, okay?

15:36:33 Okay. Yeah, well, Or

15:36:40 Yeah.

15:36:41 And of the weekend, yeah, we are already try to. solve the program. Up there on our, SMS.

15:36:54 And the first ID one. You data is already still there but we cannot solve few in You screen the
diamond.

15:37:10 I think everyone is panic.

15:37:13 Yeah. Not like, yeah. Of course I also panic. One way that we are using is we tie into Okay.

15:37:33 So the learning. Yeah, already have before since. Plus the area.

15:37:45 I. As to officer Patrick to send to me and I'm helping to in both the.

15:37:58 Yeah, it's what I do again. Although we can. Okay. I think this,

15:38:22 Yeah.

15:38:10 Experience for for me also yeah to be prepared. Was something happen. That is not in your
prediction.

15:38:28 Sometimes you will be surprised and also Sometimes you will be. You'll be grateful. What?

15:38:41 You can be grateful after you have finished this one.

15:38:46 You will be feel that you are. So best. Your. That's what I think.

15:38:56 So II decide to Oh, that's one here and also. I think also I make myself together.

15:39:08 Yeah, I think just like that. So. I think all of the sudden. Chris yeah First of all, not bring the.
15:39:20 That situation. Also, behind. Yeah.

15:39:25 That's what I see.

15:39:29 Okay, thank you very much. Okay, yeah. And, okay, so, I hope that he's a experience sharing.

15:39:36 We are hope to make, Monday, our enterprise session about sharing so that all of you, okay,
can share and of course I, is operating and you can see the difficulty challenge of course you can see
the good thing.

15:39:51 I saw the what, someone, you know, brothers, right? Brothers asked about, the
concentration, in the business administration, only one subject, right?

15:40:00 Yeah. So, maybe, Bruno or Jaya can share the concentration, right? Yeah.

15:40:09 So, maybe, Bruno or Janet can share the concentration so that, I think you can just, go
through the concentration, make sure that everyone understand.

15:40:14 Just for the sharing us so that you can share. Thank you.

15:40:14 Okay, I said a bit first, before, as you can see, for sure.

15:40:30 Most, most subject are not really quite, sex modules. The reason of that is because, our,
major is, which is master management for S 2 M, that's about management.

15:40:42 So most, most likely the presentation will be have some, overlap for the subject or for the
more use.

15:40:48 And that's also a packet differences for the business. I mean, maybe some of you have said,
oh, that's not fair.

15:40:58 While this is the, only one subject, a cost because they hit they have, I don't, want you to
study all over again and again that will be so boring that's not helping for you to study all over again
and again that will be so forward that's not helping for you to be a good manager, especially when
you are you doing things up repeatedly.

15:41:16 That's not that's not good. So yeah, luckily you only have one subject because most subject
is over and into your major so which means that you already studied them already so so I hope that
you can do well yeah do well in this course and Jason thank you.

15:41:33 Okay, maybe.

15:41:33 Okay, good. Very good. Okay, yeah, so any other thing? How about the situation?

15:41:40 Okay, good. Okay, talk about communication, right? So, thank you for sharing a lot of
opinion, your feedback over the website group.

15:41:49 Lately i don't want to mention who some student actually think that others do other other
ambassador others follow some message not related to IEU right so some students bring up some
concern because they will, this a bit of a confused.

15:42:09 So I pass on on graph and I don't want to explain this situation and you know and want to
share some catline okay that like all of you yeah

15:42:25 How are you sure? How about what's there?

15:42:27 Yeah. Yeah. What's that recently some student complaint, right? That, you know, some,
some of them, put in some advertisement.

15:42:36 Yes, okay. Yeah, yeah.

15:42:37 You know, you may want to bring up so that we have some discussion with the student
about all of you.

15:42:43 Yeah, okay. I think, for the WhatsApp, group, I think, We must, be wise to, in what group.

15:42:53 Because it's very, very important. The information our our study if you You post something
or not relate for the I think it's some student maybe we start for about it.

15:43:12 Hmm.

15:43:13 And if we have, important information. The information.

15:43:20 Wish. And then

15:43:28 Thank you. Thank you. So thanks. And we hope that we can keep the voice.

15:43:34 For learning. Oh, okay, yeah, otherwise, if, I know some of you may be doing Oh, your own
pieces, you know, and then you may want to Will you send a PM to them, Rock and send it to the
group, right?

15:43:48 And in fact, I think, for me, the, I mean, can post a message, but But you think it would be
very one way.

15:43:55 We don't have feeling about talking to each other, right? So I still not willing to, only I love
administrator to, to send message.

15:44:05 You mean, oh, you cannot send message out. I don't think that it's a good way of I.

15:44:11 Right. So for those of course, you know, if you some of you will send a the evidence
message and, you can just.

15:44:26 Chris fully saying and we'll remind that to the person so that you know not to Not, locally
again, right? Okay.

15:44:34 With the, you can help to monitor and be as well. But I thought that we share the practice
at all.

15:44:43 Okay, so, okay, sir.

15:44:39 Hey, please have everyone. Okay, fair. Okay, okay, so I think, most of the agenda we have
come, we are completed today, right?

15:44:51 Yeah. So any others?

15:44:55 Okay, yeah, even though right so the 15 we need you know, we're supposed to do 4 so
50 min I will just share we carry on to our entrepreneurship lesson so we just want to Kerry on and
just share with you and the team, for, I will pass you.

15:45:13 For the Korea

15:45:14 No, okay.

15:45:16 Okay, for the, yeah, for the Korea, Thank you. Okay, yeah. So give me a second.
15:45:23 I just Oh, to our entrepreneurship lesson in Yeah.

15:45:32 Okay, yeah, so last time we have come, we have I'm keep the pop one and this.

15:45:39 I do that. Thank you. Okay.

15:45:44 Be sure to write everything down that you find, even if you don't think it's the right fit right
this second.

15:45:52 It's good research to have on hand. Remember to look both locally and nationally for
opportunities directly related to you.

15:46:00 That could mean an alumni award from your university like I mentioned earlier or maybe
even high school. Think back to anything you've been involved with and see if they give out any
awards or honors to alumni.

15:46:15 Once you've found opportunities, start applying some opportunities you find might have
specific dates to submit nominations.

15:46:25 If so, make a note of that in your calendar. Do not miss the cutoff. I have had that happen
before and you have to wait a whole year before you can apply again.

15:46:38 Do not repeat my mistake. Mark those application deadlines in your calendar twice if you
have to. This is also a great opportunity to involve any friends and family that want to help.

15:46:52 Chances are you've had a friend or 2 say, if you ever need help with the business, let me
know.

15:46:59 This is your perfect opportunity to call that friend because all they need is access to a
computer and a desire to help you.

15:47:08 Remember, friends and family want to see you succeed. So you can involve them in a
project like this.

15:47:16 And it's a win-win for everybody. Once you've made your way onto a list or won an award,
it's time to capitalize on the PR and marketing happening around the announcement.

15:47:27 See where you can leverage your name and company and how you can parlay that into
opportunities for people to hire you, shop at your store, or transact with your company.

15:47:39 This is an inexpensive way to get lots of free exposure as long as you're willing to put in the
work.

15:48:03 In the last decade, the phenomenon of shopping local and buying from local small
businesses has exploded. Even big brands have jumped in on this trend such as American Express
with their small business Saturday program.

15:48:19 Or Delta Airlines whose products on board are mostly sourced from small businesses. But
that's not all.

15:48:26 There's also been a big push around supporting entrepreneurs who are women and people
of color. Both groups that are traditionally underrepresented when it comes to starting a business.

15:48:39 Just last year, I went to a conference with about a hundred other startup founders in New
York.
15:48:45 When I got there, I looked around only to realize I was one of maybe 10 women at the
entire conference.

15:48:52 Point being, we have a long way to go to play Ketchup. While some might look at this as a
disadvantage, I like to flip it around and think of it as a unique differentiator.

15:49:04 I am always on the hunt to find any women-owned opportunities that I can. When my
business was working heavily with Walmart several years ago, I was thrilled that they announced a
five-year women's economic empowerment initiative.

15:49:20 Walmart committed to sourcing. 20 billion dollars from women-owned businesses. Yes, that
is billions with a B.

15:49:29 Which, Walmart was even more interested in seeing what business that we could do
together. As you bootstrap your business, you too can try to utilize this wave of supporting local and
minority-owned businesses.

15:49:45 If you own a business that makes physical products, Here's a great hack. Look for local
retailers that tend to highlight local businesses.

15:49:54 For example, Whole Foods, a grocery store chain here in the U. Prides itself on featuring
local products and founder stories on their shelves.

15:50:05 Go to places that could potentially sell your product. Or where your ideal customer is
frequent. This can be grocery stores, hair salons, restaurants, workout studios, really anywhere that
you think that your product could be picked up and purchased.

15:50:26 Start exploring and researching what opportunities there are where you live. That means
doing on-site visits.

15:50:34 If you have a service based business looking for local retail features may be more
challenging for you. If this is the case, look into any sort of certification that makes you stand out.

15:50:49 For example, when I first started my company, we were not only able to secure a woman-
owned certification, but we were also able to use a made in the U.S.A. stamp, which some of our
clients really appreciated.

15:51:05 Do some digging on what kind of certifications might be available for you based on where
you live and what type of business you have.

15:51:15 Participating in corporate small business programs can give you a ton of exposure to more
customers and potential clients. Look no further than my friends Jess and Sabi who started a jam
business called The Jam Stand.

15:51:32 A few years ago, Hagen does, the worldwide ice cream giant decided they wanted to roll
out a special collection of ice creams that partnered with artisanal creators, which is a fancy word for
small business.

15:51:46 Imagine Jess and Savvy's excitement when they were selected to be one of 6 companies to
partner with Hagendahs.

15:51:56 They got to create an entirely new ice cream flavor that uses their most popular jam.
Banana Rum.
15:52:02 Hundreds of thousands of these ice cream cartons were produced and sold all over the
United States. Everyone who bought that ice cream saw Jess and Sabi's face on the back of the
carton.

15:52:14 Thus introducing them to an entirely new audience and market. One ice cream partnership
likely brought them thousands of new customers who had never heard of them before.

15:52:26 The power in this type of partnering is truly endless. While finding these opportunities can
be a lot of research and take a lot of time, they do provide additional opportunities for you to market
your business free of charge.

15:52:44 For a boots drop business the best type of marketing is free marketing.

15:53:02 A common myth about bootstrapping is that you take no money from outside sources. But
technically, you can take money from outside sources.

15:53:14 Long as it isn't in exchange for equity in your business. Which means any money coming
from winning a contest, an award, a grant is fair game.

15:53:29 You may be thinking, Kim. What is a grant anyways? And what are these startup contests
you're referring to?

15:53:36 If that's you, no worries. We are diving into that today. A grant is a gift of money from one
organization to another.

15:53:47 Grants can be given out based on merit, the work done, or a myriad of other reasons.

15:53:54 I've seen grants given out for startups. Based in New York City. I've seen grants given out to
businesses with female founders.

15:54:04 And I've seen grants given out because the work the startup is doing is going to change the
world for the better.

15:54:12 A startup contest or award are typically programs where companies submit themselves to
be judged based on a set of criteria.

15:54:23 And they come with some sort of prize money. It could be best local startup contest or a
giant contest like Uber and girl bosses over pitch competition where they select 3 finalists to win up
to $95,000 in prize money, mentorship, and resources.

15:54:46 The easiest place to find out about grants or startup contests is by looking at other founders
who work in the same space as you.

15:54:56 For example, if you've started a state of the art health care app, Look at other health care
companies to see if anyone in the space is talking about a grant they received on a award they've
won or a contest that they've entered.

15:55:14 Once you've found some players in the space that have won such accolades, do a deep dive
into each of them.

15:55:23 See what the award is, look up any information that you can find on it. See if it applies to
you.

15:55:30 And make a note to apply the next time it becomes available. For other opportunities, it's
not so much about the space, but about the location.
15:55:43 Some opportunities can be big stretching all over the world and some can be small and
more local focused. Sure, big global companies like Facebook, American Express, and Microsoft are
often promoting contests and grant money to help support small businesses that have great ideas.

15:56:07 But I also encourage you to really dive deep into what's available to you locally. I've known
founders who receive grants from universities, from local mayors offices, and even local businesses
who are looking to support entrepreneurship in their communities.

15:56:27 Sometimes it's less about the big name and more about the big bucks. Regardless of where
they come from.

15:56:35 If you're researching a ton and you still can't seem to find any opportunities, Try joining and
becoming active in entrepreneurship groups.

15:56:47 On LinkedIn. Entrepreneurship-based communities. Often post opportunities and programs

that could be a perfect fit for your business.

15:56:58 I'm all about taking the quickest and easiest approach. With a few clicks, you can open
yourself up to a world of possibilities.

15:57:08 We remember, look in your industry. Look based on your location and look within a
network of other entrepreneurs to see what money or opportunities are out there for your business.

15:57:29 Okay, yeah, so, keep this on. You'll complete the. Okay, good.

15:57:37 Okay, thank you, Robert. And, this couple of track. Basically, for those they They start the
pieces without much money.

15:57:47 Okay, yeah. So when the minimum starting, but they put track. But the moment, right, then
they got some funding.

15:57:53 And then they go very fast. So that is a good check. Rather, you put 1 million dollars to start
the piece, okay, yeah, mainly successful businessman.

15:58:03 All women, they boot track the DC, right? So that's called, Okay, so that's all.

15:58:11 And, Tim, I pass you the host right

15:58:15 Yeah, I saw it.

15:58:16 Okay, good. Any other question? I saw just now when we are creating the lesson, talking
about that, and I said, I saw some feedback, Okay, no right.

15:58:31 Okay, I think there's, same thing with over 61 of us in the meeting. That's good.

15:58:34 Okay, yeah, so I see you and okay, yeah, so bye bye

15:58:41 Yes, sir.

15:58:43 Bye bye, thank you.

15:58:43 Bye.

15:58:43 Thank you.

15:58:44 Oh, I see, thank you.

15:58:42 Hi. Alright.
