Presentation
Thanks to its investment in scientific research and the development of multidisciplinary skills
in the industrial, agri-food, environmental, and hygiene sectors, Morocco has launched
promising innovative initiatives and ambitious sustainable strategies to guarantee a healthy
ecology and a better quality of life. For this purpose, several industrial executives accompanied
by renowned researchers are organizing a major event entitled "International Symposium on
Materials, Environmental Sciences, and Hygiene (ISMESH)" in its first edition (May 7-8, 2024
at the Higher School of Technology of Fez) to discuss and develop research on this theme and
find environmentally-friendly solutions to various issues threatening community health. This
international symposium, organized by the Materials, Processes, Catalysis and Environment
Laboratory (LMPCE), will allow academics and practitioners to meet and share ideas on these
transitions and the new technological prospects they offer.
1. Objectives
 Promote knowledge exchange in materials, environmental sciences, health and hygiene.
 Stimulate sustainable research aimed at conserving resources, reducing environmental
impact, and using materials responsibly.
 Promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
 Promote Moroccan innovation by encouraging socio-economic and industrial
partnerships.
 Encourage international participation while consolidating scientific collaborations.
