Number of activities of the practical component registered in this guide: 1

face-to-face contexts.

2. General Activity Description of the Practical Component.

Scenarios of the practical component: In situ (practice)

Activity type: Independent
Activity number: 2

The resources required for the development of this activity are the
following:

• E-mail
• Virtual campus
• Pedagogical and Educational Practice Simulator
• Student’s e-portfolio
• Forms for the traceability of pedagogical and educational practice

The activity consists of:

1
Step 1: Proposing an activity.

After reading the contents of Unit 2, you must propose an English activity (it is not an
activity guide). Consider being very specific, do not generalize things. Detail each
item as much as possible. Then, add a rubric for evaluating the proposed activity. If
you want, you can use a template or create your own. Just make sure you include
the criteria needed for each level.

1. Method – Approach
2. Context of the class in which you would apply this activity
3. Objectives (One general and two specific objectives)
4. Name of the activity
5. School Level
6. Topic or class to be reinforced with this activity
7. Resources
8. Time
9. Description of the activity
10. Rubric

Step 2: ESAPEC – 2 hours certified for your attendance.

ECEDU defines the strategy ESAPEC, which consists of a certain number of face-to-
face or virtual accompaniments to groups of students. Considering the above, for this
activity, you must attend this mandatory meeting whose schedule will be announced
in the course news forum and via email.

In the meeting, you are going to receive some instructions regarding your process of
practices and forms; but also, everybody is going to share experiences related to
observational practices in situ and their impact. Be ready to share your experiences,
everybody is having some minutes to talk. Do not forget to take some screenshots
because you need to send them in the final product, in order to get the certification
of the 2 hours by your UNAD tutor.

Note: Attendance is mandatory, and it will have a percentage of the score in the
evaluation rubric. A form of attendance will be shared during the meeting which must
be uploaded to the folder called FASE 3.

Step 3: Support your schoolteacher.

In this step, you must add pieces of evidence of the support given to your
schoolteacher.

2
Your evidence must contain the material that you designed for your schoolteacher or
the support given during your practice such as workshops, presentations,
infographics, quizzes, flashcards, posters, tutorials…etc.

- Avoid taking photos of your students’ faces.

- The evidence files need to be sent with your work of this phase, in this sense,
through the Virtual Campus. To do this, you can compress the files to send
just one. Do not upload it to the e-portfolio.

Step 4: Forms required for this activity.

1. “Diario de campo”

You must use the “Diario de Campo” to take control of every aspect that happens in
each class observed to complete the 36 hours in situ. Choose one of those classes
you observed in this phase and fill out one “Diario de campo”.

You must write a deep interpretation and argumentation in each section of this
document. You need to mention the authors of Units 1 and 2 to support your
arguments. Cite every source in APA style and add its reference at the end of the chart.
This form must be filled out in Spanish.

Remember that the dates, hours, and activities of the “Diario de Campo” must be
included in the “Plan de Trabajo” and “Formato de Asistencia.”

Upload it in PDF format to the folder called FASE 3 and name them properly:
DIARIO DE CAMPO_YOUR NAME… (In capital letters)

2. “Formato Asistencia” Second delivery

For this phase, you must deliver the second “Formato de asistencia a prácticas” with
20 hours of participant observation and material development.

These 20 hours must be certified by your schoolteacher. You must complete the form
and include the dates, hours, and activities of the “Diario de campo” of this phase, the
classes you observed, and the material developed.

Upload it in PDF format to the folder called FASE 3 and name it properly: FORMATO
DE ASISTENCIA A PRÁCTICAS_YOUR NAME … (In capital letters)

práctica pedagógica”, this form is going to be sent by the course director and your
