The Ministry of Deliverance & Inner Healing
He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a man of sorrows and pain, and
acquainted with grief and sickness for surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses,
weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment] but
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities;
the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and wellbeing for us was upon Him, and
with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. Isaiah 53:3-5
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we
should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto
the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of
his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in
the beloved. Ephesians 1:4-6
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a
yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
Common definition: The process of casting out demons in the name of Jesus.
My definition: Submitting our lives (spirit, soul and body) completely to Christ as our
only Lord and appropriating the finished work of the cross so that He can destroy ALL
the works of the devil.
James 4:7
Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Deliverance is inner healing when you consider deliverance is setting us free from
anything (examples: demons, lies, offenses, wounds, trauma, rejection, anger, fear)
that satan has used to keep eternal life and the Kingdom of God from fully
manifesting in and through our whole being (spirit, soul, and body).
Jesus was the love of God manifested on the earth. Much of His ministry was
deliverance (spirit, soul, and body). It is the way we love others by doing the
highest good, which is whatever God’s will is for them at that moment.
www.almsnet.org Page 1
Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and
with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first
commandment. And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as
yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the
Prophets”.
John 14:23
Jesus answered and said to him, “If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word.
And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode
with him”.
Mark 16:15-18
He said to them, “Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the
creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does
not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who
believe in My name: they will cast out demons, they will speak in new
tongues, they will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any
deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and
they will recover”.
God’s will for an unbeliever is to be saved. God’s will for a believer is for us to
have the fullness of salvation manifesting in our whole being, which includes all
the works of the devil being destroyed in our lives. Jesus did a complete work
on the cross, it is finished. There is nothing we can add (not even our
application of knowledge). However, we must appropriate the finished work of
the cross in our lives by submitting to God and through abiding in Christ, faith,
obedience, confession (prayer), repentance, and forgiveness.
In order to have all the works of the devil destroyed, we must be under the
complete Lordship of Christ. We must put off the old self: “to put off your old
self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful
desires” (Ephesians 4:22).
www.almsnet.org Page 2
D. Deliverance is Part of the Biblical Commission
1. Removes hindrances so that people can receive from God and walk in their
new nature, causing an acceleration in their growth and maturity.
3. Prepares the church for what is coming – great glory, the great harvest, and
great darkness, etc.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your
whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
Luke 11:34-36
The light of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is sound, your
whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is evil, your body also is
full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light in you is not darkness.
Therefore if your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole
shall be full of light, as when the shining of a lamp enlightens you.
www.almsnet.org Page 3
B. Many have not had the authority of Jesus to cast out demons because they:
James 4:7-8
“Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from
you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your
hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
Matthew 17:20-21
“And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, If
you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain,
Move from here to there. And it shall move. And nothing shall be impossible
to you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting”.
C. Many do not believe the gifts of the Spirit and power of God are for today,
including deliverance, healing, prophecy, etc.
Many reacting to the excesses of years gone by have rejected its use or traded
it in favor of some other method.
Many with good intentions have made regretful mistakes and have increased
an individual’s suffering
Many have focused on the demons rather than the individual’s suffering
E. Ignorance
Many are mislead to believe that when they received salvation, they are
automatically free of all issues.
Hosea 4:6:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
F. Lack of Discipleship
The church does not have a full revelation of the finished work of the cross and
how to appropriate it for their lives, their authority, and who they are in Christ.
We tell people that Jesus is the answer and that He will give them new life and
set them free. However, we do not show them how. Therefore, we must
disciple them.
www.almsnet.org Page 4
There is no possibility of someone living in abundant life and holiness if they
are not under the complete Lordship of Christ first. They cannot live under the
complete Lordship of Christ unless they have made Him their Lord by giving
Him complete authority over all the areas of their life, including the “old things”.
In order to give complete authority to Jesus Christ, they must be taught how
and what to do. This is love - true discipleship – our commission.
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And,
behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.
Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is on ME; because of this He has anointed ME to
Proclaim the Gospel to the poor. He has sent ME to heal the
brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and new sight to
the blind, to set at liberty those having been crushed.
B. For the most part, we have not fulfilled this command. We have been given a
great and complete salvation which has been neglected by many.
Hebrews 2:3
How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first
began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by those who
heard Him.
The devil is defeated for the cross rendered him powerless (Hebrews 2:14). As
Christians, we must realize the exceeding greatness of the power of Jesus which has
been given to us (Ephesians 1:18-22).
1 John 5:18
We know that everyone who has been born of God does not continue to sin, but
the one born of God guards himself, and the evil one does not touch him.
1 John 4:4
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is
greater than he who is in the world.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.
www.almsnet.org Page 5
VII. WHO ARE WE MINISTERING TO?
We are ministering to people. Stay focused on the individual, not the demon. We are
to be transformed by the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2), so our focus is in
dealing with the strongholds and legal rights in love and truth. The demon is not the
problem; it is a symptom. You are not fighting a demon; you are looking for the
reason it has a legal right to be there.
The social stigma must be removed, and the focus put on Jesus and the person
rather than the demon.
2 Timothy 2:25-26
In meekness instructing those who oppose, if perhaps God will give them
repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, and that they awake out of the
snare of the Devil, having been taken captive by him, so as to do the will of that
one.
The ministry of deliverance and healing must go hand in hand with the ministry of
evangelism
Mark 16:15-17
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be condemned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my
name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
The occult, new age, and false religions are flourishing because the world is looking
for answers. The church needs to demonstrate that we have the true answer.
Repentance is the main key to effective deliverance. The more thorough the
repentance, the easier will be the deliverance. Un-confessed sin, especially
unforgiveness and judgments, give demons authority to remain. When deliverance
prayer is greatly prolonged and ineffective, always go back to repentance.
Obey and just start doing it. To go through an experience is better than hearing about
a hundred others.
Consider and love the person and not focus on the demons. Minister to the person in
a spirit of love. We are ministering to people not demons.
www.almsnet.org Page 6
Our trust must always be completely in the Lord (the Word, and the authority of the
name of Jesus) not in a method or system.
Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one or love the other, or
he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other.
You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, or whatever is
trusted in).
We should avoid using our own formulas. Let us rather remain faithful to the Word of
God and return to the simplicity of what Jesus said.
The Word clearly states we are to do deliverance (everything) in the name of Jesus -
not the blood of Jesus, etc. If there would be any other name in which we could
minister; Jesus would have said so. We need to return to what Jesus taught.
Luke 10:19-20
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over
all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not
rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are
written in heaven.
Mark 16:17
And miraculous signs will follow to those believing these things: in My name they
will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues.
Philippians 2:9-11
Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above
every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones,
and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth; and that every tongue should
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
There are three areas where sin and events can give legal rights to the enemy in our
lives. When we sin, we are forgiven; however there can still be consequences for the
sins committed; examples: break civil laws (rob a bank), break God’s laws (commit
adultery). Luke 11:34-35; I John 1:6 & 2:9, 11; John 8:34; Matthew 6:24.
A. BODY
Sexual contact outside the covenant of marriage - All sexual contact unites two
people as one flesh. Because they are committing sin, evil spirits use this right
and can pass between the two of them.
Corinthians 6:16
Or do you not know that he being joined to a harlot is one body? For He says,
“The two shall be one flesh.”
www.almsnet.org Page 7
Mark 10:8
And the two of them shall be one flesh. So then they are no longer two, but
one flesh.
1. Adults
2. Adult with Child
3. Adult with Teenager
4. Teenagers
5. Children
6. Same sex contact
7. Bestiality (sex with animals)
Pornography
Pornography can possibly cause soul ties - The word for prostitute in the Greek is
“aporne”.
Matthew 5:28
But I say to you that whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has already
committed adultery with her in his heart.
www.almsnet.org Page 8
PRAYERS TO CANCEL THESE LEGAL RIGHTS: PORNOGRAPHY
“Heavenly Father, I ask your forgiveness for my sexual sin of pornography and
____ (related sins; examples: masturbation, sexual fantasy, etc.). I have sinned
with my body which is your temple, and in doing so, I have sinned against You. I
sever all soul ties with these images and people.”
Abortion
1. It is murder
2. The emotions it can produce (ex. guilt, judgment, self-hatred, anger, humiliation,
shame)
3. The father of the aborted child (if involved) may need to receive deliverance
ministry also.
1. Definition of a Stronghold
II Corinthians 10:4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the
pulling down of strongholds, pulling down imaginations and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every
thought into the obedience of Christ.
www.almsnet.org Page 9
Satan must have legal ground before he can gain access and build a stronghold.
For deliverance, we must first cancel the legal rights and cast out the evil spirits
(demons) who are using and empowering these strongholds.
2. Transformation
After deliverance, the person must build a new infrastructure of God and choose
to walk by the Spirit rather than by the flesh. Their minds have to be renewed and
their souls transformed.
The degree of freedom and abundant life that they walk in will be based primarily on
what they do after deliverance. If a person does not do their part in renewing their
mind, they can eventually end up worse than they were before deliverance.
Matthew 12:43-45: “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he walks
through dry places seeking rest, and finds none. Then he said, I will return into
my house from where I came out. And when he has come, he finds it empty,
swept, and decorated. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more
evil than himself, and they enter in and live there. And the last state of that man is
worse than the first. Even so it also shall be to this evil generation”.
Ephesians 6:12: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this
age, against spiritual wickedness in high places”.
Romans 12:2: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing
and perfect will of God”.
Words
Word curses and vows - Examples: “I want to die”, “I’ll never let that happen again”,
or “I will never do or be ___”.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the
fruit of it.
www.almsnet.org Page 10
PRAYERS TO CANCEL THESE LEGAL RIGHTS: WORDS/VOWS
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce and break all agreement with any word
curse that was spoken to me, by me, or over me.”
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce and break agreement with the vow that
____” (whatever the vow was).
Unforgiveness
Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you;
but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses.
Luke 6:37
Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be
condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.
Matthew 18:33-35
And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on
you?' And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers (tormentors), until he
should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if
you do not forgive your brother from your heart.
Anger
Anger can produce resentment, envy, pride, violence, and desire for vengeance, as
well as roots of bitterness and lack of forgiveness. It is the basis for other situations
which can grow from it (examples: fear, rejections, humiliation, pride, rebellion,
sadness, depression, bitterness, gender problems). Many times depression is anger
that has turned inward.
Ephesians 4:26-27
When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or
indignation) last until the sun goes down. Leave no (such) room or foothold for the
devil (give no opportunity to him).
www.almsnet.org Page 11
PRAYERS TO CANCEL THESE LEGAL RIGHTS: UNFORGIVENESS/ANGER
“Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I forgive ____ not only with my emotions
but with my will, in obedience to your Word. I forgive ____ for ____” (each
specific thing).
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce ____” (examples: anger, hate,
resentment, bitterness, all fear, rejection, fear of rejection, humiliation, shame,
insecurity, inferiority, disgrace, guilt, condemnation, depression, sadness, grief,
loneliness, rebellion, helplessness). I renounce all spiritual bondage that came
upon me as a result of these things.”
“In the name of Jesus, I bless ____. I cut all ungodly soul ties with ____. There
is nothing they can do to repay the debt. I cancel the debt and accept the loss;
they do not owe me anything, not even an apology. Heavenly Father, I believe
you will restore everything that I have lost because of these things.”
Fear
As Christians, we should not fear anything (examples: heights, small spaces). Fear
can produce all kinds of bondages and can manifest as obsessions, phobias, and
convulsions. Parents often bind their children to fears by their words (“Don’t talk to
strangers because they could hurt you”). Fears can come by witnessing or
experiencing traumatic, violent, or fearful events, and can even come from watching
TV or movies.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a
sound mind.
Other areas of the soul – If these things were caused by a person, they need to be
forgiven before these are renounced: rejection, resentment, reflections of pain, abuse
of any kind, and anything that produces strong, ungodly emotions to which we have
submitted.
www.almsnet.org Page 12
C. SPIRIT REALM
Occult
We are not to learn anything from the kingdom of darkness as this is illegal knowledge.
We do not need to study the occult or demons to do deliverance (example: I do not need
to watch pornography for Jesus to use me to minister deliverance to a person bound in
pornography).
Deuteronomy 18:9-14
When you come to the land which Jehovah your God gives you, you shall not learn to
do according to the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among
you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses
divination, an observer of clouds, or a fortune-teller, or a witch, or a charmer, or a
consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or one who calls to the dead. For all that do
these things are an abomination to Jehovah. And because of these abominations
Jehovah your God drives them out from before you. You shall be perfect with
Jehovah your God. For these nations whom you shall possess listened to observers
of clouds and to diviners. But as for you, Jehovah your God has not allowed you to do
so”.
Occult practices - horoscope, tarot cards, Ojai board, palm readers; white magic and
black magic; culture practices based on darkness and false religion; movies or videos
with anything of the occult in them.
False religions - New Age, Christian Science, and all other false religions; martial arts
and yoga (rooted in false religion), hypnotism and mental control.
Speaking to the dead - Asking dead saints for help; talking to the deceased as if they are
alive, asking for help (examples: photograph or gravesite).
Deuteronomy 18:11
There shall not be found among you...a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or
a wizard, or one who calls to the dead.
www.almsnet.org Page 13
Idolatry
Worldly Music
This can give legal rights to the enemy because of many reasons; for example, idolizing
the performers, influence from the music and lyrics, and it can be a type of worship.
Dedicated to anything to something other than God; any vows or curses with darkness
must be renounced; curses against parents.
Mark 7:10
For Moses said, Honor your father and your mother. And, Whoever curses father or
mother let him die the death.
www.almsnet.org Page 14
PRAYERS TO CANCEL THESE LEGAL RIGHTS: VOWS/CURSES
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce and break the curse of ____” (whatever
the curse is).
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce and break agreement with the vow that
____” (whatever the vow was).
Note: The examples given in this manual are not by any means exhaustive; for
example, you cannot cast out your carnal nature (flesh).
www.almsnet.org Page 15
KEYS TO FORGIVENESS
I. DEFINITION OF FORGIVENESS
Forgiveness means that I forgive with my will, not only my emotions. It is a decision
that I make in obedience to God and his Word whether I feel like forgiving or not.
B. Recognizing the magnitude of the debt (you cannot forgive a $1,000,000 debt as
if it is a $10 debt)
C. Confessing specifically the offense with your mouth – what was said, done, not
said, not done, etc.
Matthew 18:23
Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to
settle accounts (“take account of”, KJV) with his servants.
Recognizing that they can do nothing that could make up for the loss Not
expecting them to do anything to make up for the loss (apologize, etc.) However,
Jesus restores all that was lost
Matthew 18:27
And out of pity for him, the master of that servant released him and forgave
him the debt.
Joel 2:25
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper,
the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you.
Isaiah 61:3
…To appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the
oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
I forgive and accept the loss because the debt was paid, in full, for their sins and
mine. I can forgive and release them because my Heavenly Father judged Jesus
for what they did to me. Justice has been served. When I bless them, it releases
God to move in their life and mine.
www.almsnet.org Page 16
Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we
are healed.
Romans 12:14
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
Job 42:10
And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had (blessed and) prayed
for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before”.
In forgiving, I renounce my own anger for their sin because Jesus suffered the anger
and wrath of God. He refused to make them feel His anger and, instead, extended
love, acceptance, and fellowship. To forgive is to recognize how valuable they are
and that they are far more important than the offense. It means that I rise above my
feelings about the hurt or loss I have sustained. In love, I choose relationship over
the offense or being right. I reach beyond the offense to the person and free them
because that is what God has done for me.
www.almsnet.org Page 17
9 STEPS TO MINISTER DELIVERANCE
1. Determine If the Person Is Having a Demonic Manifestation and Bind the Evil
Spirits
Oppressed
The demon is not inside yet, but he is exerting an externally strong pressure in order
to enter. Example: Demon oppresses with fearful thoughts, then the person allows
fear to control their life (outside the body).
Tormented
The person has opened the door, and the demon is working from the inside. The
devil has taken over at least one area of the person’s life, and he is under satanic
influence (inside the body, operating in the area of the soul - mind, will and emotions).
Possessed or Demonized
They have lost complete control of their life - body, soul and spirit. The demon enters
through the mind (which he obstructs) then takes hold of the body. Finally, the
demon quenches the spirit (inside the body, operating in the areas of the soul and
spirit). (A Christian cannot be possessed)
Other examples that can be a manifestation or expose the need for deliverance:
Take Authority in the Name of Jesus and Bind the Evil Spirits from Manifesting
Say: “You have to submit in the name of Jesus”. Luke 10:17 covers all areas, not just
the spiritual.
What Not to DO
Do not shout.
www.almsnet.org Page 18
Do not begin rebuking and casting out demons every time there is a physical
manifestation; simply bind them from manifesting. The Bible does not tell us to stir
them up.
If a team is ministering, only one person should take authority. The group can serve
as support in prayer.
Once the spirit is bound, tell it: “In the name of Jesus, you cannot hurt anyone”. Only
use physical force as a last resort if the demons are causing the person to do physical
harm to you or someone else and will not submit to your commands.
Say the name of the person when known: “In the name of Jesus, take control over
your mind and body. Come back now; and open your eyes.” Command the demons
to let the person come back.
When they are withdrawn, it is usually fear. Tell them Jesus loves them and make
them feel safe and loved. 1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love
casts out fear”.
If they cannot come back, tell them to say (in their mind): “God help me” or
“Jesus”.
Jeremiah 33:3
It is written, call to me and I will answer you.
We want to talk to the person – not to start coming against the demons immediately.
We are looking for the reason (legal ground or rights) why those demons have
permission to be tormenting the person.
In love and gentleness, tell them they have a spiritual problem. Do not say anything
that will offend or upset them (for example: “You are demonized”).
If the answer is negative, pray for them and let them go. We cannot force anyone to
be free. God deals with us on a personal basis and does not violate our will.
www.almsnet.org Page 19
Romans 14:12
So then each one of us will give account concerning himself to God.
To determine whether or not they are saved, you can ask, “If you died tonight, are you
sure you would go to heaven?” If they answer yes, ask, “Why would God let you in?”
You can determine if they are saved by the way they respond.
Some people who do deliverance have a tendency to cast out demons first so that
Christ can enter. I personally believe that is a backward approach. No one can fight
against a kingdom without first deciding not to belong to it any longer. We may cast
out some of the demons; however, since deliverance is part of salvation, they must be
transferred out of the kingdom of darkness by receiving Christ. We first bind the
demons so the person can receive salvation; then we proceed with the steps of
deliverance.
Christians who express a desire to be free but do not want to repent and abandon
their old practices usually cannot receive deliverance until they are willing to make
that decision.
5. Discover the Areas Where the Enemy Has Been Given Legal Rights As A
Consequence of Sin, Unforgiveness, Occult, and Fear
First pray and be absolutely dependent upon the Lord to guide the ministry time and
reveal the things that He wants to deal with at that time.
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring
to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the
hearts. And then shall each one have praise of God.
Luke 6:45
The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil
person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart
his mouth speaks.
Investigate into the three areas to discover when and how the enemy gained legal
ground: body (examples: abortion, sexual contact outside marriage), soul (examples:
unforgiveness, traumatic events, lies ,vows, word curses), and spirit realm (examples:
occult, false religions, idolatry).
www.almsnet.org Page 20
Find out what the wounds, bondages and strongholds are in their life by asking
questions and allowing them to talk (Matthew 12:34). For example: How was your
relationship with your father? Do not judge them or make them defensive: For
example, do not say: “Who do you hate or have not forgiven?” Instead, say: “Has
someone hurt you?”
6. Repent, Forgive, Renounce, and Deal with the Thing That Caused the
Oppression, Wound, Bondage or Stronghold
This cancels the legal rights of the enemy and allows deliverance, which results in
healing of their heart. Invite the person to repeat (or say) a prayer in the name of
Jesus, forgiving and renouncing each specific situation that has been revealed as a
cause.
Titus 2:12
Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-
controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.
Acts 19:18
And many who believed came and confessed and showed their deeds. (Some
translations say,” renounced”)
Demons are not omniscient; they cannot read our minds. Therefore all renouncing
and forgiving must be done in an audible voice so the demons can hear the person’s
decision.
Use “Deliverance Prayers” as they apply to each event revealed by the Holy Spirit.
If another person was the cause, they need to state the specific situation and offense
that they are forgiving. They should then bless the person who caused the problem.
They should renounce whatever emotions caused by the offense and to which they
submitted.
If it is a lie, word curse, or vow, have them renounce what was said or believed. Ex: “I
renounce the lie that God is like my father”; “I want to die”; I will never ____”.
Renounce each specific act, ritual, vow, and dedication that had to do with the occult,
false religions, etc.
Soul ties which were the result of sexual contact need to be broken and all authority
that was given to that person needs to be renounced.

7. In the Name of Jesus, Break the Yokes
Break all yokes. As the person remembers, forgives, and renounces (examples:
rejection, fear, spiritual bondage), we as ministers of the Gospel have to break these
yokes immediately. When they renounce them, we break the yokes of what was just
renounced.
Isaiah 58:6
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo
the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed ones go free, and that you break
every yoke?
When we believe there is nothing else remaining in them, cast out the evil spirits
(demons).
In the name of Jesus, cast out all evil spirits that are there because of the legal rights
(which are now cancelled).
If you cast out the evil spirits and they start manifesting, they may just be resisting.
However, if after several times they continue to manifest, stop and bind that spirit
again, then continue investigating. Have them renounce, then you break the yokes
and cast out the evil spirits.
Demons have to leave in the name of Jesus. If they do not leave, it is because we
have omitted something, and the demon still has a right to be there. It is never
because of the lack of Jesus having power (Phil 2:9-11).
9. Have the Person Give Thanks to God, Then Confirm the Deliverance
After you have finished praying and casting out the demons, invite the person to give
thanks to God for their deliverance. Lead them to declare that all the glory, honor,
and power belong to God (Rev. 7:12).
Lead the person to pray for the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
We do not only pray for people to be anointed. We lead them to pray themselves
(Matt. 12:43-45). Example: “Lord, I give you thanks because you have delivered
me. I now ask and receive your love, anointing, presence, and power”.
Have them begin to praise God. If it is difficult for them to glorify God freely, it
could be a sign that all the evil spirits have not left yet. A demon cannot stand the
fact that the person is trying to glorify God, and they may even start manifesting.
Submit the evil spirit again (Step 2), and go back to Step 6.
www.almsnet.org Page 22
Finally, the person who is in charge needs to verify the deliverance by praying for
them with the laying on of hands. Looking them in the eyes, command any remaining
evil spirits to leave. If the person manifests, submit the spirit. If necessary, go back
to Step 6 and repeat the process. If there is no manifestation, continue to pray for
the infilling of the Holy Spirit and whatever you are led to pray over them. This
deliverance session is now completed.
Note: In this teaching, “demons” and “evil spirits” refer to the same thing. The
word “deliverance” also includes “inner healing”. Feel free to add or
substitute inner healing, as needed, when ministering or teaching. See the
teaching notes, prayers, and scriptures for more details and the scriptural
foundation. My purpose is not to establish doctrine but that each person will
search the scriptures and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in this process of
deliverance, healing and wholeness. I have used these methods and prayers
thousands of times individually and with large groups in many different
situations with lasting, wonderful and glorious results!
www.almsnet.org Page 23
SUMMARY OF THE 9 STEPS TO MINISTER DELIVERANCE
Step 1: Determine If the Person Is Having a Demonic Manifestation and Bind the Evil Spirits
Say the name of the person when known: “In the name of Jesus, take control over your mind and body. Come back now; and open
your eyes.” Command the demons to let the person come back.
Begin here if there is no demonic manifestation or they came to you for ministry.
If the answer is negative, pray for them and let them go. We cannot force anyone to be free. God deals with us on a personal basis
and does not violate our will.
Step 4: Present the Plan of Salvation to Them if They Are Not Saved
To determine whether or not they are saved, you can ask, “If you died tonight, are you sure you would go to heaven?” If they answer
yes, ask, “Why God would let you in?” You can determine if they are saved by the way they respond.
Step 5: Discover the Areas Where the Enemy Has Been Given Legal Rights As A Consequence of Sin, Unforgiveness,
Occult, and Fear
Investigate into the three areas: body (examples: abortion, sexual contact outside marriage), soul (examples: unforgiveness, traumatic
events, lies, vows, word curses.), and spirit realm (examples: occult, false religions, idolatry) to discover when and how the enemy
gained legal ground.
Step 6: Repent, Forgive, Renounce, and Deal with the Thing That Caused the Oppression, Wound, Bondage or Stronghold
Use “Deliverance Prayers” as they apply to each event revealed by the Holy Spirit.
If another person was the cause, they need to state the specific situation and offense that they are forgiving. They should then bless the
person who caused the problem. They should renounce all emotions, lies, vows and word curses connected with each event.
Renounce each specific act, ritual, vow, and dedication that had to do with the occult, false religions, etc.
Soul ties which were the result of sexual contact need to be broken and all authority that was given to that person needs to be
renounced.
Break all yokes. As the person remembers, forgives and renounces, (examples: rejection, fear, spiritual bondage), we as ministers of
the Gospel have to break these yokes immediately. When they renounce them, we break the yokes of what was just renounced.
In the name of Jesus, cast out all evil spirits that are there because of the legal rights (which are now cancelled).
Step 9: Have the Person Give Thanks to God, Then Confirm the Deliverance
Looking them in the eyes, command any remaining evil spirits to leave. If the person manifests, submit the spirit. If necessary, go back
to Step 6 and repeat the process. If there is no manifestation, continue to pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit and whatever you are
led to pray over them. This deliverance session is now completed.

ADDITIONAL ADVICE TO MINISTER
1. The 9 Steps to Minister Deliverance that have been shared will prepare you for
deliverance ministry. Listed below are some additional helpful bits of advice from
combined experiences.
3. Never judge anyone or give them the impression that you are surprised or judging them
for what has happened in their lives.
4. Minister in a place where you can talk freely without any distractions or interruptions.
5. If a person manifests in public, submit the demon in the name of Jesus and when
possible find a less public place to minister to them. You want to respect the person and
not do anything that would shame them. Also, demons want attention and are more
prone to manifest in public.
6. When there are several people involved, choose one person to take authority before the
demons and instruct the others to support that person with intercessory prayer.
7. Sit or stand at a 90 degree angle from the person you are ministering to. Always keep
your eyes open and look at their face to watch the person’s reactions. If the person
manifests, you could get hit if your eyes are closed. Demons can sometimes be very
aggressive, and it is important to be attentive to their reactions.
8. Once the demon has been submitted, do not mention the blood of Christ. When demons
hear words that mention the redeeming blood of Christ, they may turn very violent and
could cause harm to the person.
9. Team ministry: Always try to minister with one support person. If the person being
ministered to is a female, there should be another female (or male with another male).
10. Always try to minister to same sex. If it is not possible, do not minister alone with
someone of the opposite sex in a private setting.
11. The support person should be interceding for the one ministering to the person. They
should be near enough to hear but not be a distraction to the person being ministered to.
If the Lord gives them something, they should write it down and get the minister’s
attention at the appropriate time. They can also take notes on things that need to be
renounced so the one ministering does not forget. At the end of the session, always
destroy or give notes to the person receiving ministry.
www.almsnet.org Page 25
12. If the person asking for ministry is from another church, it is recommended that they ask
their pastor first.
13. When possible, it is best to do deliverance at a church or ministry of which you are a part.
Obtain permission first from your pastor and/or the person in authority.
14. Couples or families should not minister deliverance to one another unless there is no one
else. Many times the person will not really open up. If they do, the things they share
may cause hurt and rejection to the other person.
15. Always verify the deliverance before releasing the person (see Ministry Session
Procedures).
16. After completing the deliverance, the person who has experienced a conversion and
deliverance needs a follow-up. Ask the counselors or others in your congregation to
disciple that person.
17. Though every believer has been given authority, it is best if the casting out of demons is
not self-administered but completed by a Christian who assumes the authority of Christ in
front of the demon oppressing the person, thus leading that individual to freedom.
18. If a person is following the prayers and steps on their own they should be told to stop if
they feel like they begin to manifest in any way (confusion, pain or pressure in body,
feeling sleepy, etc.). They can write down that event and finish with a minister.
19. If a person approaches you for ministry who explains that he or she is suffering some
illness, pray for healing. Practice the ministry of healing – it is also part of the
commandment that Jesus gave to His disciples. Do not assume that all problems are
spiritual. If there are physical difficulties, face them for what they are and pray for
healing.
20. If people are under the influence of excessive medication or alcohol, they may recover
their sobriety when you pray for them. The Lord may be merciful and deliver them. If
not, explain to them (or to the person who brought them) that they must be lucid and
sober for you to minister to them. Pray for them, then recommend that they come back
for further help when they are sober.
21. Never advise anyone to stop taking prescribed medication. We are not called to function
as the Holy Spirit; he does not need us to take His place. If the Lord has healed
someone, that person will automatically stop taking any medications. The person needs
to move by faith, according to God’s leading.

MINISTRY SESSION PROCEDURES
The following procedures are used before and after scheduled ministry sessions. Starting
with the second session, begin the session with “IX - Opening Scripture”.
I. PRAYER
The ideal is for the ministers to arrive one-half hour before the first appointment. The
first 15 minutes of this time should be spent in worship and prayer, with the rest of the
time doing the following things.
Be sure to have written ministry prayers that you need to help you remember how to
minister. Check the room to be sure that these things are ready:
Minister and one or more intercessors (for training purposes, there can be as many
intercessors as the person is comfortable with). When there are more than one
intercessor, only the lead intercessor interacts with the minister and the other
intercessors give their revelation to the lead intercessor.
Prayer: Pray softly (whisper) during the entire session for the minister for wisdom,
revelation, discernment, strength, and as the Holy Spirit leads you to pray for the
minister. Intercessors do not to speak unless asked by the minister.
Ministry: Your intercession for the minister is critical to the session. If time permits,
you will be able to pray for the person along with the minister at the end (see the
section, “End of Session”).
www.almsnet.org Page 27
Notes: Take legible notes that are easy to read at a glance that include:
Ask the person to sit down. Start by introducing yourself and your intercessor. Ask a
few questions just to get acquainted for 2 to 5 minutes (examples: Where do you
work? Do you attend church somewhere? Do you have a family?).
VII. SALVATION:
Ask them: “If you were to die tonight, are you sure you would go to heaven?” If they
say “yes”, ask them: “On what basis do you think God will let you into heaven?”
Unless he (she) is basing his (her) assurance of salvation on having received Jesus
as Lord and Savior, you should assume he (she) is not saved and proceed to lead
him (her) to Jesus.
Rom. 3:23 The need for salvation for all have sinned.
Rom 6:23 Spiritual death is separation from God now and forever, but eternal
life is to be united to God now and forever; He gives us his life as a
gift.
1 John 1:9 To give them faith that God will forgive and cleanse them.
John 1:12 If they do their part, believe in His name and receive Jesus, God
gives them power to be made his child.
Rom 10:9-10 Our part is to believe the resurrection in our heart and confess with
our mouth that Jesus is Lord; God’s part is that He will then save us.
Eph. 2:10 Salvation is not dependent on our works; it is a gift of God.
“I confess with my mouth that You, Jesus, are my Lord and Savior. I believe in my
heart that God raised You from the dead, so I am saved (Romans 10:9-10). I receive
You, Jesus, as my Savior and believe in your name” (John 1:12).
www.almsnet.org Page 28
“Heavenly Father, I thank You that according to your promise, I am now your child
because I have received Jesus. Thank you that I am saved and forgiven and have a
new, clean heart (2 Corinthians 5:17). When I die or when Jesus returns, I will go to
heaven because I have received your free gift of salvation and eternal life. In the
name of Jesus, amen.”
A. SOZO
He took all of your diseases, as well as your pains, sorrows, and griefs. He
provided for your peace and well-being through His complete work on the cross
so you could have abundant, eternal life in your whole being – your spirit, soul,
and body. To receive the forgiveness provided by the work of the cross and to
make it a reality in our lives, we need to say certain things in prayer. In the same
way, we need to say certain things in prayer to receive into our lives the
deliverance, healing and wholeness that is provided.
Isaiah 53:3-5:
He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a man of sorrows and
pain, and acquainted with grief and sickness, surely (name), He has borne
your griefs, your sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses and carried your
sorrows and pains [of punishment], but He was wounded for your
transgressions (name), He was bruised for your guilt and iniquities; the
chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well being for you) was upon Him,
and with the stripes [that wounded] Him you are healed and made whole.
There are three areas where sin and events can give legal rights to the enemy in
our lives. When we repent, we are forgiven; however there can still be
consequences for the sins committed.
SPIRIT REALM:
The first area is the spirit and includes the occult and idolatry; examples are:
praying to the dead (saints, ancestors, friends, etc.) or anyone other than God;
idols; going to fortune tellers; false religions; occult practices; celebration of
Halloween; hypnotism; certain music; and drugs.
BODY:
The second area is the body and includes all sexual contact outside marriage,
with or without consent. I Corinthians 6:16 says: “Or do you not know that he
who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, The
www.almsnet.org Page 29
two will become one flesh”. Having sexual contact outside marriage means two
people become one flesh. Because they are committing sin, evil spirits use this
right and can pass between the two of them. This area also includes abortion.
Please note that in these two areas, even if you have repented and confessed
the sexual sins or witchcraft, there can be consequences where the enemy
may still have legal rights in these areas. So they need to be covered in a
different way, breaking soul ties, renouncing, etc.
Definition of a stronghold:
A fortified system of thought or imaginations empowered by emotions that
produce actions, reactions, and behavior patterns contrary to the nature and
mind of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to
the pulling down of strongholds, pulling down imaginations and every high
thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ”.
Satan must have legal ground before he can gain access and build a stronghold.
For deliverance, we must first cancel the legal rights of the enemy to this ground
by forgiving, repenting, renouncing, and then casting out the evil spirits who are
using and empowering these strongholds.
Secondly after deliverance, the person must build a new infrastructure that is of
God and choose to walk by the Spirit rather than by the flesh. Their minds have
to be renewed and their souls transformed. The degree of freedom and abundant
life that they walk in will be based primarily on what they do after deliverance. If a
person does not do their part in renewing their mind, they can eventually end up
worse than they were before deliverance.
Matthew 12:43-45
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through
waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, 'I will return to
my house from which I came.' And when it comes, it finds the house empty,
swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits
more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that
person is worse than the first”.
www.almsnet.org Page 30
Traumatic Events:
Events which caused fear and terror. It is not a sin to have these emotions;
however, if we submit to them by not taking them captive, satan can be given the
legal right to torment our emotions and minds with a spirit of fear in that area.
Ephesians 4:26-27
“When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your
fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. Leave no (such) room or
foothold for the devil (give no opportunity to him).”
Staying angry gives opportunity (place or rights) to the devil. Even if you do not
feel unforgiveness or hurt at the present time toward someone, every time in your
life that someone offended or hurt you and you did not forgive, you can give a
legal right to satan in your life. There is no pressure on you, as the Holy Spirit will
bring to remembrance what needs to be dealt with in this session. So although
you may not feel hurt, offended, or angry toward these people now, it is time to
deal with it when the Holy Spirit brings it up. The soul is the area from which most
of our problems come. If the Holy Spirit brings up a specific situation with
someone you have forgiven before, it usually means that God wants to take you
deeper into forgiveness.
Confessions:
James 5:16 says: “Confess to one another your faults (your slips, false steps,
offenses, sins) and pray (also) for one another, that you may be healed and
restored (to a spiritual tone of mind and heart).”
This is not just physical healing; it is also healing for your soul. It is good to
confess secrets and sins you have committed that you have never confessed to
anyone, things you are ashamed of even before you were a Christian.
Confession to another person takes away the authority of the enemy to cause
guilt, shame, etc. When we have secrets that no one knows, it can keep us from
receiving love and acceptance from others (even subconsciously). We often
think, “If they knew these things about me, they would judge and reject me.”
Summary
Our purpose is to cover all three of these areas, cancel the rights of the enemy by
forgiving, renouncing, and breaking the yokes so you can be free and Jesus can
deliver, heal, and make you whole. This freedom can result in physical healing and
make it possible for you to experience peace, joy, and a closer relationship with
Jesus.
It is very important to open your heart and be honest about anything you have
experienced. At the end of the session, you will tear up any notes taken during this
time. Everything is confidential, and our desire is to love you and bring you to
www.almsnet.org Page 31
freedom. Nothing you can say would make us judge you because we all have our
own past and failures. If you hold something back, that is an area where you will not
have victory today. We cannot help you appropriate the cross to that area until you
are willing to surrender it. During your session, if you have any of these physical
reactions, let me know so we can pray for you - pressure in your chest or throat, pain
in your body, or have a hard time focusing. Do you have any questions?
IX. OPENING SCRIPTURE – personalize (skip this scripture if it was read earlier)
Isaiah 53:3-5
“He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a man of sorrows and pain, and
acquainted with grief and sickness, surely (name), He has borne your griefs, [your
sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses] and carried your sorrows and pains [of
punishment], but He was wounded for your transgressions (name), He was bruised
for your guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well being
for you was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him you are healed and
made whole”.
A. OPENING PRAYERS (ask them to repeat):
“Heavenly Father, I trust your love and leadership of my life. I surrender my body,
soul, and spirit completely to You. I ask that through the Holy Spirit you would
reveal to me the areas where You want to bring truth, deliverance and healing. I
thank you that there is no pressure on me and I can trust You to reveal and do
whatever is needed.”
“Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am made in your image. You gave me my
emotions; however, I repent for any time that I used them for sin or blocked or
controlled them in an ungodly way. I choose now to surrender to You all my
emotions. Help me to recognize, acknowledge, and feel any emotions that are
connected to these memories and events that You want me to feel. I choose to
trust in Your love and believe Your word that it is safe to give You that control. I
surrender my whole heart to You, in the name of Jesus, amen."
“Heavenly Father, I thank You that (name) is your favorite son/daughter. You love
them so much that You crucified Jesus to make a way to restore them to Yourself
and they could have abundant life here on the earth. So our confidence today is
in Your love; our faith works through love. Our confidence is in the finished work
of the cross. Everything has already been finished to provide freedom, healing,
and victory for (name). Thank You that we can trust Your leadership completely.
We believe You to bring to remembrance by the Holy Spirit everything that You
want to deal with today. We submit this time completely to You. Have your way.
We ask more than anything else that (name) would experience your love for them
as Father and that everything that is done and said today will be a manifestation
of Your love. Thank You that there is no pressure on us, and we can trust You
completely. In the name of Jesus, I bind every evil spirit from manifesting in any
way, from blocking the mind or emotions, or hindering in any way what God is
doing during this time, in the name of Jesus, amen.”
www.almsnet.org Page 32
B. BREAK YOKES FOR GENERATIONAL CURSES, OCCULT, AND SEXUAL
CONTACT
Ask if they have prayed in an audible voice the Generational Curse prayers that
we gave them and if anything stood out that was in their ancestors (certain sins
or diseases). If so, ask them to renounce that specifically, and the minister
breaks the yoke of that sin, disease, etc.
Break yokes - “In the name of Jesus, I break all yokes and spiritual bondage
that formed in their life and their descendants because of these things. I break
all agreements with the enemy made by any of their ancestors. I decree that all
legal rights the enemy had because of these things are now cancelled.”
Cast out evil spirits when they are finished with this prayer.
Casting out evil spirits (demons) - “In the name of Jesus, I command every evil
spirit that has had access because of these things to release and go from
(name) now without harming them in any way. Your legal rights have been
cancelled. I forbid you to hide or stay; you must go, in the name of Jesus”.
Continue to command them to go until you believe they have departed.
Occult Prayers and Idolatry Prayers they did before the ministry session
Ask if they prayed in an audible voice the deliverance prayers for all witchcraft,
occult, and idolatry. BE SURE THEY SAID THE PRAYER SEPARATELY FOR
EACH EVENT AND FORGAVE ALL RELATED OFFENSES USING THE
FORGIVENESS PRAYER. (If they have not, make sure they have a copy of the
prayers and explain that they need to pray the ones not covered today on their
own before their next session.) When they tell you they have said these
prayers, pray to break the yokes.
Break yokes - “In the name of Jesus, I break the yoke of ____ (mention what
they renounced) and spiritual bondage. I break the yokes of everything they
renounced and that formed in their life because of these events. I decree all
legal rights the enemy had from these things are now cancelled.”
Continue to command them to go until you believe they have departed.
www.almsnet.org Page 33
Sexual Contact Prayers they did before the ministry session
Ask if they prayed in an audible voice the deliverance prayer for all sexual
contacts outside of marriage. BE SURE THEY SAID THE PRAYER
SEPARATELY FOR EACH PERSON AND FORGAVE ALL THEIR OFFENSES
USING THE FORGIVENESS PRAYER. (If they have not, make sure they have a
copy of the prayers and explain that they need to pray the ones not covered today
on their own before their next session.) If it is sexual abuse or there is a lot to
forgive in any relationship, they may want to do the prayer with the person
ministering instead of praying it alone. When they tell you they have said these
prayers, pray to break the yokes:
Minister: Then pray the following over them:
Break yokes - “In the name of Jesus, I break all yokes and sexual bondage that
formed in their life because of these events. I decree that all legal rights the
enemy had because of these things are now cancelled.”
Cast out evil spirits when they are finished with this prayer.
Casting out evil spirits (demons) - “In the name of Jesus, I command every evil
spirit that has had access because of these things to release and go from (name)
now without harming them in any way. Your legal rights have been cancelled. I
forbid you to hide or stay; you must go, in the name of Jesus”.
Continue to command them to go until you believe they have departed.
D. GETTING STARTED
We are not looking for any emotional response, but if you feel something, you
should not block it. So if you need to cry, just allow God to pull those emotions
out of your heart as you are forgiving. Even if you do not have an emotional
response today, the Lord often brings those things later.
Pray with them asking the Holy Spirit to bring to mind the things that He wants to
deal with today.
Ask them “What do you want the Lord to do for you today?” Their answer may
indicate that they have specific things bothering them. If so, you may want to start
there, leading them in the prayer of forgiveness. If not, then ask: “If Jesus could
change one event from your life, something that happened to you, what would be
the thing that has most hurt you, that has most affected you negatively, maybe
even when you were a child?” According to their answer, start there to investigate
and ask questions. When you know about someone who caused them harm, lead
them in the “Prayer of Forgiveness” under the Area of the Soul of the Deliverance
Prayers. Be careful about not letting them talk for a long time. They may talk for
5 minutes or so when it is the first few offenses they are mentioning. They will be
covering the situation in more detail when actually forgiving specifically what the
person did and said. Explain that at any time a specific event comes to their mind
(even during the prayer), they should tell you - even if it does not seem to relate to
the area you are dealing with at this time.
www.almsnet.org Page 34
Other questions that you may use to get started are: “How was your relationship
with your father?” If it is a woman and she has a lot of problems in her
reproductive system (ovaries, uterus, or breasts), there are usually many offenses
caused by men. You can ask, “Are there any men in your life who have caused
you harm? Is there one who comes to mind? or Let’s talk about the first one”.
You may just ask if someone has hurt them or if they have suffered because of
what someone has done. If they do not bring something up at this time, begin
with the father or mother, then lead them in the “Prayer of Forgiveness” under the
Area of the Soul of the Deliverance Prayers.
If there is time during the session, you may continue to another area. Remember,
if the Holy Spirit has them remember something about another area (Soul, Spirit,
or Body) while praying the Forgiveness Prayers, you can deal with it after they
finish the person they are forgiving.
E. END OF SESSION
The person who is in charge needs to verify the deliverance by praying for them,
with the laying on of hands. Looking them in the eyes, command any remaining
evil spirits in the name of Jesus. If the person manifests, submit the spirit
(optional: have them cough again). If necessary, go back and repeat the process
with other people to forgive or area of occult, idolatry, fear, etc. Ask the Holy
Spirit to bring to mind what needs to be dealt with. When you have verified the
deliverance and there is no manifestation, have them give thanks to God and
worship, asking God to fill them.
The minister then prays for the infilling of the Holy Spirit, restoration, and
whatever they are led to pray over them. If time allows, intercessors can also
pray for them. It is during this time that God may move in healing, prophecy, and
baptism of the Holy Spirit. The deliverance part of this session is now completed.
How to be Free ~ Explain how to stay free by advising them to do the following:
Be VERY aggressive about taking thoughts and emotions captive by resisting,
renouncing, and confessing the opposite. Meditate and confess the FREEDOM
scriptures and/or “Framing Your World” to renew your mind and bring about
transformation. Be quick to FORGIVE specifically and renounce all the emotions
as we did today.
Position your heart every day so the Holy Spirit can continue to reveal other
people you need to forgive or other events which have given legal rights to the
enemy. As God reveals these, use the appropriate Deliverance Prayers provided
to cancel the legal rights of the enemy, then ask a Christian to break yokes and
cast out evil spirits. If you have a difficult time as you are praying (pressure in
your chest or throat, pain in your body, or have a hard time focusing), stop and
write down where you were and wait until you can have a Christian help you with
that prayer.
Note: If they are willing and you have not covered all the areas, ask them to
schedule another appointment at a later date.
www.almsnet.org Page 35
DELIVERANCE PRAYERS
If you are ministering to an individual or group with these prayers, have them repeat each
one after you. When they have finished their part, pray over them the prayer that says
“Minister”. After completing an area of deliverance, then cast out the demons.
Forgive: “Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I forgive ____ not only with my
emotions but with my will, in obedience to your Word. I forgive ____ for ____” (they say
each specific thing the Holy Spirit brings to mind. The minister helps them renounce any
lies or emotions that apply).
After completely forgiving their father or mother, help them renounce this lie:
“I renounce the lie that God is like my (father/mother), and I declare the truth that God
____.”
Bless, cut soul ties, and cancel debt: “In the name of Jesus, I bless ____. I cut all
ungodly soul ties with ____. There is nothing they can do to repay the debt. I cancel the

PRAYERS FOR GENERATIONAL CURSES
Today Jesus, I declare that You are my Lord and Savior. I believe that You died on the
cross for My sins. I thank You that You took my sins and curses to the cross and that You
became a curse for me.
In the name of Jesus, I renounce any curse placed on my life. I ask that the blood of Jesus
cleanse me and set me free in these areas.
I acknowledge, repent of, and renounce any curse, gossip, negative words, anger, and
judgment that I have spoken against people, knowingly or unknowingly. Please forgive me.
I release myself and others from the power and effect of these words, in the name of Jesus.
Jesus, I come before You today and acknowledge that You are my Lord and Savior. I
believe You died on the cross for my sins and the sins of my ancestors. You took our sin
and curses to the cross and You exchanged curses for blessings and defeated satan and his
powers.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce sins and curses in our family line (mother
and father).
As Jeremiah prayed in Jeremiah 14:20, “We acknowledge, Oh Lord, our wickedness and the
iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against You”. Lord, we do the same today. I
choose to forgive my ancestors for their sins, and I release them in forgiveness. No longer
do I blame them for the condition of my life.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce all ungodly thoughts, negativity, gossip,
bitter words, vows, judgments, curses, ungodly covenants and beliefs from my ancestors
and in my life (examples: pride, anger, violence, fear, bitterness, shame, witchcraft, and
hatred of men and/or women).
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce all rejection in my ancestors and myself.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce ownership of all addictions in my ancestors
and myself (examples: alcohol, nicotine, drugs, food, pornography, TV, video games,
computer, and other false comforts).
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce all sexual sin in my ancestors and myself
(examples: adultery, fornication, homosexuality/lesbianism, incest, lust, masturbation,
prostitution, rape, sexual abuse, bestiality, obsessions and perversions).
www.almsnet.org Page 44
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce the destruction of marriage and family
through divorce from my ancestors and myself.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce the curse of Freemasonry in my family line
(known and unknown) and myself. I renounce every word, action, and agreement with
Freemasonry relating to all degrees and everything they represent spiritually.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce any connection of my ancestors or myself
of being part of any ungodly organization, secret society, college fraternity or sorority. I
renounce all vows, secret handgrips, traditions, emblems and badges associated with those
organizations. I renounce the effects that these curses have had on my family and me.
I acknowledge, confess, and repent of, and renounce untimely death, physically and
spiritually, of my ancestors and myself (examples: abortion, death in the womb, premature
death, sudden and traumatic death, suicide, murder/war, unresolved grief, anger, bitterness,
resentment, fear, loss of dreams and hope).
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce the effects of guilt, false guilt, and fear, of
my ancestors and myself.
I acknowledge, confess, and renounce of the effects of war on my ancestors and myself
(examples: loss of family, homes, land, possessions, finances, health, destruction and
pride).
I acknowledge, confess, and renounce all religious restrictions and constrictions from a
Christian church, denomination, or a different religion on my ancestors or myself (examples:
legalism, false doctrine, spiritual abuse, oaths, vows, and rituals).
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce all involvement with the occult by my
ancestors and myself. I recognize that supernatural knowledge and power not coming from
God is evil. I renounce every agreement, covenant, and blood covenant involved with the
occult that has affected my ancestors and me.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce where my family line has not taught the
ways of God to my ancestors or me (examples: loss of Godly blessings, heritage,
inheritance, and reaping the consequences of sin – sickness and poverty).
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce any ungodly soul ties in the lives of my
ancestors or my life.
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce ungodly attitudes, practices, and
involvement in the cultural background of my ancestors (examples: prejudice, superiority,
pride, shame, and ungodly things in culture).
www.almsnet.org Page 45
I acknowledge, confess, repent of, and renounce generational curses or sins in financial
areas. In my finances, I resolve to be obedient to the Lord in finance, tithes and offerings.
Forgive me, Lord, for blaming You, blaming others, and blaming myself.
In the name of Jesus, I acknowledge, confess, repent of, renounce, and release my
ancestors, family, and myself from curses and generational curses.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind any demonic spirits and powers involved in curses and
generational curses in my bloodline and my life. I command satan to loose his hold over all
areas of the lives of my family and myself.
Note: Some people may have difficulty praying these prayers and will need prayer for
deliverance in some areas. You may wish to take communion after finishing these prayers.

be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39

the nations like an overflowing stream; and you shall nurse, you shall be carried upon
her hip, and bounced upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforts, so I will
comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:12-13
V. Love by God
So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith--that you, being rooted and

breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses
knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Eph 3:17-19

dismayed." Deu 31:6-8

He predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his
will. Eph 1:5
X. Judgment
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the
world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but
whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the
name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the
world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their deeds were
evil. John 3:17-19
The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son. John 5:22
