Different Approaches, Teaching Methods

And Techniques in teaching EPP

1. Demonstration Method

 Defined as a teaching strategy that involves giving a demonstration or

performing a specific activity or concept to show learners how to do
something. It is a systematic teaching-learning process that utilizes visual
aids or practical examples to enhance understanding. The demonstration
method is commonly used in disciplines such as sciences and trades. It
helps students to understand the content covered theoretically and
practically.

2. Cooperative Learning

 It aims to enhance the learning experience and understanding of a subject

by promoting collaboration and active participation among students. In
cooperative learning, students work together to achieve a shared goal,
solve problems, or complete projects. This approach can be used in
various subjects and disciplines, from simple math problems to complex
assignments or projects.

3. Instructional Modules/ Materials

 It is designed to provide learners with all the necessary resources and

materials to achieve a set of objectives. An instructional module typically
includes documents, multimedia experiences, discussion boards, and
information for students and groups to use. It is structured in a way that
allows learners to work through the content at their own pace and engage
in self-directed learning.

4. Utilization of Resource Persons & Community Materials

 Refers to the strategic use of individuals with expertise or knowledge in a

particular field and the materials and resources available within the
community to enhance the learning experience. Resource persons can be
professionals, experts, or individuals with specialized knowledge who are
invited to share their insights and experiences with learners.
5. Utilization of Field Strips

 Refers to the incorporation of educational excursions outside of the

classroom environment as a learning strategy. Field trips provide students
with the opportunity to gain firsthand experiences and practical
knowledge related to the subjects they are studying.

6. Utilization of Home Visits

 Practice of professionals or service providers visiting individuals or

families in their own homes for various purposes. Home visits are often
used in healthcare, social services, education, and other fields to provide
personalized support, assessment, intervention, or education in a familiar
and comfortable environment.

7. Utilization of Community Work

 Community work is a collaborative and participatory process that

emphasizes the importance of collective decision-making, empowerment,
and active involvement of community members. It recognizes the
interdependence between individuals, communities, and external
resources in creating positive social change.

8. Hands on Learning by doing project Methods

 An educational approach that emphasizes active engagement and

practical experience in the learning process. It involves students actively
participating in hands-on activities, projects, or experiments that allow
them to directly interact with the subject matter and apply theoretical
knowledge in real-world contexts.
