Section 1 - Introduction
1. INTRODUCTORY REMARKS
Welcome to the vibrant and culturally rich realm of the Guild Ministry of Culture at Metropolitan
International University.
As the guild minister of culture at Metropolitan International University, my work plan for my reign will
focus on promoting and celebrating diversity, creativity, and inclusivity within the university community.
2. MINISTRY BACKGROUND
Ministry of Culture, MIU is a seven-year ministry funded by Metropolitan International University under
the body of Guild Council and the purpose of this ministry is to promote the cultures of different tribes
in Uganda and the world at large.

5. OBJECTIVES
1. Organize culturally diverse events: I will work to organize a series of events throughout the year that
celebrate the diverse cultures and backgrounds of our students, faculty, and staff. These events may
include cultural festivals, film screenings, art exhibits, and performances.
2. Support student-led cultural organizations: I will work closely with student organizations dedicated to
promoting cultural awareness and understanding on campus. I will provide support and resources to
help them plan and execute events that showcase their unique cultural identities.

3. Collaborate with academic departments: I will collaborate with academic departments to incorporate
cultural perspectives into the curriculum and provide opportunities for students to engage with different
cultures through their studies.
4. Promote inclusivity and accessibility: I will work to ensure that all cultural events and activities are
accessible to students with diverse backgrounds and abilities. I will also promote a welcoming and
inclusive environment where all members of the university community feel valued and respected.
5. Foster creativity and artistic expression: I will support and promote artistic expression on campus by
organizing workshops, exhibitions, and performances that showcase the creative talents of our students,
faculty, and staff.
6. Evaluate and assess cultural programming: I will regularly evaluate the effectiveness of our cultural
programming and solicit feedback from the university community to ensure that our events are meeting
the needs and interests of our diverse population
By implementing these initiatives, I aim to create a vibrant and inclusive campus culture that celebrates
diversity and fosters creativity among our students, faculty, and staff at Metropolitan International
University.
6. BENEFICIARIES
The work of the Guild Ministry of Culture at Metropolitan International University will benefit the
administration in several ways:
- Enhancing the university's reputation: By organizing culturally diverse events and promoting inclusivity,
the university will gain a reputation for being welcoming and diverse, attracting a wider pool of students
and faculty.
- Strengthening community engagement: Cultural events and programming will create opportunities for

The work of the Guild Ministry of Culture will directly benefit students in the following ways:

The Guild Ministry of Culture will benefit the Guild Council in the following ways:
- Strengthening community relations: Cultural events and programming organized by the ministry will
enhance the reputation of the Guild Council within the university community, fostering positive
relationships and engagement with students, faculty, and staff.
- Promoting diversity and inclusivity: By supporting cultural organizations and initiatives, the Guild
Council can demonstrate its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity within the student body,
aligning with its values and goals.
- Providing opportunities for involvement: Cultural events and programming organized by the ministry
will create opportunities for Guild Council members to actively participate in and contribute to the
cultural life of the university, fostering leadership skills and community engagement.

festivals, exhibitions, performances, film screenings, and workshops that celebrate the diverse
backgrounds and talents of our students, faculty, and staff.

9. PROPOSAL
Dear Sir,
I am writing to you as the Cultural Minister of the 7th Guild Council at Metropolitan lnternational
University to propose the organization of a Cultural Galla event in the upcoming semester of august in-
take. This event aims to celebrate the rich diversity and talent within our university community, as well
as to promote cultural exchange and understanding among our students, faculty, and staff.
The Cultural Galla will feature a variety of performances, including music, dance, theater, and art
exhibitions, showcasing the artistic abilities and cultural traditions of our students. In addition, there will
be cultural workshops, food stalls offering cuisines from different parts of the world, and interactive
activities that encourage cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration.
We believe that this event will not only provide an entertaining and enriching experience for our
university community but also foster a sense of unity and inclusivity among our diverse student body. It
is an opportunity for us to come together and appreciate the unique heritage and talents that each
individual brings to our campus.
In order to make this event a success, we are seeking sponsorship from Metropolitan lnternational
University to cover the expenses related to venue rental, equipment rental, promotional materials, and
other logistical costs. We believe that your support will not only enable us to host a memorable and
impactful event but also demonstrate the university's commitment to promoting cultural diversity and
engagement on campus
We are confident that the Cultural Galla will be well-received by the university community and will help

Section 3 - CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the work plan of the Guild Ministry of Culture at Metropolitan University is designed to
