The instructions for the assignment are as follows:

1. Create an account at StatCrunch (cost $14.99): StatCrunch Access

2. Download the Word document from the course and then save it on your computer with a new name.

3. Download the Excel Data File and save it on your computer with a new name.

4. Upload the Excel data file into your StatCrunch account. Or, you can copy and paste the values into
your StatCrunch file.

5. Perform the appropriate descriptive statistics and graphic displays for each of the variables in the data set.

6. Using the Word document provided for this assignment, answer each of the questions for each variable.

7. Type your answers or insert your output right underneath each question.

8. When answering the questions for each of the five variables:

a. For Part A, identify the level of measurement for the variable.

b. For Part B, identify all of the statistics that should be performed in the initial evaluation of the variable.

c. For Part C, list all of the graphics that should be performed in the initial evaluation of the variable.

d. For Part D, paste all of the StatCrunch analyses and graphic displays performed for the evaluation of that
variable in this section.

e. For Part E, specify which statistics should be reported based on what you found in the initial analysis.

9. The easiest way to copy and paste your StatCrunch output is to take a screenshot of the output. But, you can also
copy and paste it. Here is a short video that shows how to drag the output and how to copy and
paste! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xwHtOtM4jY Paste the tables and graphics into your Word document
using the following steps:
a. Place the cursor in the location where you want to insert the screenshot.
b. Click on 'Insert' Select 'Photo from file.
c. Select your screenshot.
d. If needed, resize the screen shot to fit into the Word document by holding the cursor over the lower right
corner of the table or graph until the double-sided arrow appears. Then, drag the corner toward the center
of the chart until you achieve the desired size.

10. Once Answer Sheet is completed, take the quiz using a separate link labeled as “StatCrunch 1 Quiz” in this
module. You will need this Answer Sheet to complete the quiz. You must also upload your completed Answer
Sheet from within the quiz. See the Answer Sheet below to fill in your answers.
