How about this, how many strawberries?

(All students)
Very Good class! There are 9 Strawberries also teacher.

Now class If you notice the strawberries I change their order

but the sum of strawberries is still the same.
This is called Order property of addition which is changing
the order of addends does not change the sum.

+ =
7 0
(All students)
Can you count the apples? 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7

theme how many the sum? It’s still 7 teacher
Yes, very good!

It’s still seven because if any number added to 0, the sum is

the number itself. And it’s called Zero Property of Addition
or another name for the identity property of addition.
(All students)
Did all understand the lesson class? Yes, teacher!

Very Good!

Performing Activities

I will group you into three groups. But before we proceed, (All students)
what are the standards while having a group activity? Cooperate to your group, teacher
Excellent answer!

Now, I will give each group a number 0 to 9 and each group

How many lollipops are there? (All Students)

There are 3 lollipop
Very good!

How many candy are there?

(All Students)
There is no available candy in the
Good job! store

Who wants to write the example of zero properties of (The students raised their hands)
addition equation on the board?

Yes, Allen? 8+0=8

0+5=5

Very good!
(All students)
What do you observe if the sum is 5+0=,0+8= 8 When a number is added to 0 the sum

Very good!

C. Generalization

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity / Responses

What have you learned for today’s lesson?
We learned how to solve order
property and zero properties
ofaddition teacher.
Very Good!
Alright class I am going to give you 2 real life example and
you need to add the given number.

1.If Aling Nena has 4 apples and Mang Robert has 6 apples (The students raise their hands)
how many apples in total if we combine them?
Can you please write your answer in the board? Yes, Jacob?
(The expected answer)

4 + 6=10

2. If Pmae has 6 lemons and Grey has no lemon how many (The expected answer)
lemons in total?
How about you Patrick? 6+0=6

Thank you so much for the both of you! It seems that all of
you know how to solve order and zero properties of addition .

Let’s give them a very good clap

(All students)
Very good… very good… very
good…
