Letter Scholarship
Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of New Haven. You have been selected by the
admissions committee as an outstanding candidate for our prestigious Dean's Scholarship. On behalf
of the admissions committee I am pleased to offer you a 20% Dean's Scholarship for the Spring
2024 semester.
● The award can only be applied toward the program you have been accepted to as of the date of
the award letter.
● The award cannot be deferred to a future term and is non-transferable between programs.
● During the period of this scholarship you must be registered as a full-time student with a
maximum of 12 credits during each of the spring and fall terms.
● You must maintain a 3.0 cumulative quality point ratio and maintain Satisfactory Academic
Progress (SAP) as outlined in the Student Handbook.
● These merit based (scholarship, assistantship, or discount) programs offered by the University
cannot be used in conjunction with each other. In the event that a student qualifies for more
than one of these programs, the largest tuition benefit will take precedence. If a student
subsequently loses eligibility for the program with the larger tuition benefit their eligibility for
the program with the smaller tuition benefit will be re-evaluated.
● Awards funded through external entities (outside grants, scholarships, fellowships, etc.) can be
used in conjunction with University awards/discounts, however the combination of tuition
benefits from all sources cannot exceed the student’s cost of tuition. If the combination of
awards exceeds the cost of tuition the University award/discount will be reduced to no longer
exceed the cost of tuition. Exceptions may apply based on external agency policies.
● Complete the Dean's Scholarship Acknowledgement Form to accept the award.
● Failure to accept the scholarship will result in the withdrawal of the award.
