Chapter 1 Introduction
This installation guide describes how to load and configure Windows
Server 2003 and Trueflow SE.
Note You must install Trueflow on a computer that is
connected to a Local Area Network (LAN).
The instructions in this guide are for a fresh installation of Trueflow SE
on a Dell PowerEdge 1800/2800/2900/6800. If you are not installing
Trueflow SE on a clean Dell PowerEdge 1800/2800/2900/6800, the
installation instructions may not apply.
Note The Dell PowerEdge 6800 does not include an
Ignore this onboard parallel port, required for the Trueflow
note if you security dongle. Therefore, STCA is currently
use a USB recommending the SIIG Low Profile PCI-1P
dongle. ECP/EPP parallel port card. The model number
for the card is LP0404 and the SIIG part
number is LP-P01011. Install the parallel port
card into Slot 11 on the Dell PowerEdge 6800
before proceeding with the instructions in this
guide.

BIOS Setup
The BIOS for the Dell PowerEdge 1800/2800/2900/6800 must be
manually configured. You must disable the Logical Processor setting for
the PowerEdge 1800/2800/2900/6800. For the PowerEdge 2800 only,
you must also edit the BIOS settings for the parallel port or else the
Trueflow parallel dongle will not work (ignore this line if you use a USB
dongle).
To configure the BIOS:
1. Start the computer, then press the “F2” key to start the BIOS
Setup.
2. Scroll down to “CPU Information,” then press the “Enter” key. A
new window will appear.
3. Select “Logical Processor,” then press the right arrow key until
“Disabled” is selected.
4. Press the “Enter” key. The window will close.
If you are using the PowerEdge 1800/2900/6800, skip to Step 9.
If you are using the PowerEdge 2800, continue to the next step.
5. In the Setup window, scroll to “Integrated Devices,” then press
the “Enter” key. A new window will appear.
6. Select “Parallel Port,” then press the right arrow key until “378H”
is selected.
7. Select “Parallel Port Mode,” then press the right arrow key until
“AT” is selected.
8. Press the “Enter” key. The window will close.
9. Press the “Esc” key to exit the BIOS setup.
10. Select “Save Changes and Exit,” then press the “Enter” key. The
computer will restart.
21. The Manage Your Server window will appear. Select the “Don’t
display this page at logon” check box, then click the “X” in the
upper-right of the window.
2. The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box will appear.
Click the “Start Menu” tab, then the “Classic Start menu” radio
button.
3. Click the “OK” button. Several icons will appear on the desktop.
3. Drag the “Screen area” slider to the right to “1024 x 768” pixels,
then click the “Apply” button.
4. The Monitor Settings dialog box will appear. Click the “Yes”
button.
2. In the left pane, double-click Local Users and Groups > Users.
5. A dialog box that will allow you to enter a password will appear.
Enter “screen” as the password in both the “New password” and
“Confirm password” fields, then click the “OK” button.
6. A dialog box will confirm that the password has been changed.
Click the “OK” button.
5. The Other Network File and Print Services window will appear.
Select the “File Services for Macintosh” check box.
10. In the Add/Remove Programs window, click the “X” in the upper-
right corner to close the window.
11. In the Control Panel window, click the “X” in the upper-right
corner to close the window.
4. The Change Drive Letter and Paths for (D:) dialog box will
appear. Click the “Change” button.
5. The Change Drive Letter or Path dialog box will appear. Select
“F” from the “Assign the following drive letter” drop-down list.
9. The New Partition Wizard window will appear. Click the “Next”
button.
10. Confirm that the “Primary partition” radio button is selected, the
click the “Next” button.
11. Enter “10240” in the “Amount of disk space to use” field, then
click the “Next” button.
12. Confirm that “D” is selected in the “Assign the following drive
letter” drop-down list, then click the “Next” button.
13. Confirm that the “Format this partition with the following
settings” radio button is selected.
Select “NTFS” from the “File system” drop-down list.
Select “Default” from the “Allocation unit size” drop-down list.
Enter “TRUEFLOW_SYSTEM” in the “Volume label” field. Select
the “Perform a quick format” check box.
Confirm that the “Enable file and folder compression” check box
is not selected.
Click the “Next” button.
16. The New Partition Wizard window will appear. Click the “Next”
button.
18. Leave the default value in the “Amount of disk space to use”
field (which uses all remaining disk space), then click the “Next”
button.
19. Confirm that the “Assign the following drive letter” radio button
is selected and that the letter is set to “E.” Click the “Next” button.
20. Confirm that the “Format this partition with the following
settings” radio button is selected.
Select “NTFS” from the “File system” drop-down list.
Select “Default” from the “Allocation unit size” drop-down list.
Enter “TRUEFLOW_WORK” in the “Volume label” field. Select the
“Perform a quick format” check box.
Confirm that the “Enable file and folder compression” check box
is not selected.
Click the “Next” button.
6. The Virtual Memory dialog box will appear. Confirm that the
“C:” drive is selected in the drive list at the top of the window.
Enter “4095” in the “Initial size (MB)” and “Maximum size (MB)”
fields. After entering both values, click the “Set” button.
7. Select the “D:” Drive in the drive list. Select the “Custom Size”
radio button and enter “512” in the “Initial size (MB)” and
“Maximum size (MB)” fields. After entering both values, click the
“Set” button, then the “OK” button.
8. The System Control Panel Applet dialog box will appear. Click
the “OK” button.
10. In the System Properties dialog box, click the “Settings” button in
the “Startup and Recovery” section.
11. The Startup and Recovery dialog box will appear. Select
“(none)” from the “Write debugging information” drop-down list,
then click the “OK” button.
12. In the System Properties dialog box, click the “OK” button.
13. The System Settings Change dialog box will appear. Click the
“Yes” button.
7. The Ready to Install the Program window will appear. Click the
“Install” button.
8. When the software is finished installing, the Setup Completed
window will appear. Click the “Finish” button.
10. The Specification of the Output Root Path window will appear.
You do not need to specify an output folder now (you will
specify the output folder later in this chapter). Click the “Next”
button.
11. The Specification of the OPI Root Path window will appear. You
do not need to specify an OPI folder. Click the “Next” button.
13. The Specification of Unit window will appear. Select the units
of measurement you wish to use for Trueflow, then click the
“Next” button.
14. The Start Copying Files window will appear. Review the
settings, then click the “Next” button.
15. After several files are copied, the Sentinel System Driver 5.41.1
(32-bit) window will appear. Click the “Next” button.
16. In the License Agreement window, select the “I accept the terms
in the license agreement” radio button, then click the “Next”
button.
17. The Destination Folder window will appear. Click the “Next”
button.
18. The Setup Type window will appear. Confirm the “Complete”
radio button is selected, then click the “Next” button.
19. The Ready to Install the Program window will appear. Remove
any USB dongles attached to the computer, then click the
“Install” button.
6. The Warning dialog box will appear. Click the “OK” button.
7. The Question dialog box will appear, which asks if you wish to
view the release notes for the patches. Click the “No” button.
8. The Patch Installation dialog box will appear, which lists the
patches that will be installed. Click the “Yes” button.
Windows
To install the Windows Trueflow client:
1. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to the following address:
http://Hostname:6282/client/en/index.htm (or use Trueflow
server IP address).
Note The “Hostname” is the name of the Trueflow
server computer.
3. The File Download dialog box will appear. Click the “Open”
button.
The Server Selection dialog box will appear. Enter the Trueflow
server hostname or IP address in the “Server name” field, then
click the “OK” button.
Mac OS X
To install the Mac OS X Trueflow client:
1. Open Safari and navigate to the following address:
http://Hostname:6282/client/en/index.htm (or use Trueflow
server IP address).
Note The “Hostname” is the name of the Trueflow
server computer.
2. Scroll down and click the “Download” button in the “For Mac OS
X” section.
3. The SPM Installer window will appear. Click the “Install” button.
4. A progress bar will appear while the SPM files are installed.
4. The Shared Folders dialog box will appear. Click the “Yes”
button.
6. The Shared Folders dialog box will appear. Click the “Yes”
button.
8. The Share a Folder Wizard window will appear. Click the “Next”
button.
9. The Folder Path window will appear. Click the “Browse” button.
10. The Browse For Folder dialog box will appear. Select
TRUEFLOW_WORK (E:) > General, then click the “OK” button.
12. The Name, Description, and Settings window will appear. Select
the “Apple Macintosh users” check box, then click the “Next”
button.
13. The Permissions window will appear. Select the “Use custom
share and folder permissions” radio button, then click the
“Customize” button.
14. The Customize Permissions dialog box will appear. Click the
“Security” tab, then the “Add” button.
15. The Select Users or Groups dialog box will appear. Enter “Guest”
in the “Enter the object names to select” box, then click the “OK”
button.
16. In the “Permissions for Guest” section, select the “Allow” check
box for “Full Control,” then click the “OK” button.
18. The Sharing was Successful window will appear. Select the
“When I click Close, run the wizard again to share another
folder” check box, then click the “Close” button.
19. The Folder Path window will appear. Click the “Browse” button.
20. The Browse For Folder dialog box will appear. Select
TRUEFLOW_WORK (E:) > TrueflowWork > hotfolder, then click
the “OK” button.
22. The Name, Description, and Settings window will appear. Enter
“HFRoot” in the “Share name” field, select the “Apple Macintosh
users” check box, then click the “Next” button.
23. The Permissions window will appear. Select the “Use custom
share and folder permissions” radio button, then click the
“Customize” button.
24. The Customize Permissions dialog box will appear. Click the
“Security” tab, then the “Add” button.
25. The Select Users or Groups dialog box will appear. Enter “Guest”
in the “Enter the object names to select” box, then click the “OK”
button.
26. In the “Permissions for Guest” section, select the “Allow” check
box for “Full Control,” then click the “OK” button.
28. The Sharing was Successful window will appear. Click the
“Close” button.
30. The Guest Properties dialog box will appear. Deselect the
“Account is disabled” check box, click the “Apply” button, then
click the “OK” button.
31. Click the Close (X) button in the top-right of the Computer
Management window to close the window.
2. The Setting the service window will appear. Click the “Stop”
button.
7. The Error dialog box will appear, which states that the license is
not installed. Click the “OK” button.
8. The “License” tab of the System Setting Tool dialog box will
appear. Click the “Browse” button.
9. The Select a license file dialog box will appear. Navigate to and
select the Trueflow license file, then click the “Select” button.
10. The Browse dialog box will appear and confirm that the license
was installed. Click the “OK” button.
11. Check that the bottom of the System Setting Tool dialog box
shows the line,“Current license:Trueflow SE,” then click the
“Close” button.
2. Select File > New > Folder to create a new folder, then name the
folder “Output.”
4. The System Setting Tool dialog box will appear. Click the
“RootPath” tab, select “Output” from the “Displayed Root Path”
drop-down list, then click the “Add” button.
5. The Select Root Path dialog box will appear. Navigate to the
“Output” shared folder on the Trueflow system through the
network, then click the “Select” button.
7. The Question dialog box will appear. Click the “OK” button to
close the System Setting tool.
2. The Recorder Setup Tool dialog box will appear. Click the “Add”
button.
5. Select the “SPM” check box to register all SPMs, then click the
“Next” button.
8. The device will be listed in the Recorder Setup Tool dialog box.
Click the “Close” button to close the dialog box.
11. The Setting the service window will appear. Click the “Run”
button.
12. The Trueflow service will start. Click the “Close” button.

Chapter 18 Installing FlatWorker SE
This chapter describes how to install FlatWorker SE, the FlatWorker SE
patch, and the FlatWorker SE license.
There are three versions of FlatWorker SE, which are licensed differently,
although the software is identical.
The versions are:
• ImposeEditor: This can be installed on any computer running
Windows 2000 Professional/Server. This software is not
protected.
• PlateEditor: This requires a dongle.
• FlatWorker SE Full Version: This requires a dongle and a
license. If you install this version, you must follow the license
installation instructions at the end of this chapter.
FlatWorker SE Installation
To install FlatWorker SE and the FlatWorker SE patch:
1. Make sure the DVD-ROM is in the drive and the Trueflow
Installation window is launched.
Note For the CD-ROM version, insert the FlatWorker
SE CD-ROM into the drive. The Trueflow
Installation window will appear.
2. Click “Install Flatworker.”

11. Press the “Ctrl + Alt + Delete” keys simultaneously. The Log On
to Windows dialog box will appear.
12. Confirm that “Administrator” is entered in the “User name” field,
enter “screen” in the “Password” field, then click the “OK” button.
Note Skip the remaining steps in this section if there
are no patches to install.
13. You will now install the FlatWorker SE patch. Insert the
CD-ROM with the software into the CD-ROM drive.
14. Double-click the CD-ROM drive, then FP001>
E-FWV800FP001T2.exe.
15. The Welcome window will appear. Click the “Next” button.

Chapter 19 Installing TrapEditor
This chapter describes how to install TrapEditor, install the TrapEditor
license, and set up TrapBrowser. This version of TrapEditor can be
installed on any computer running Windows NT Workstation/Server,
Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Vista. However,
the computer should have at least 384 MB of RAM and a TrueColor video
card. A 100 BaseT network card or better is also recommended for
improved performance.
Note TrapEditor requires a dongle and a license (no
license and dongle required if only to view
the trap). The license is usually stored on the
Trueflow SE License CD-ROM.
TrapEditor Installation
To install TrapEditor:
1. Make sure the DVD-ROM is in the drive and the Trueflow
Installation window is launched.
Note For the CD-ROM version, insert the Trueflow SE
Application CD-ROM for Win 1 into the drive.
The Trueflow Installation window will appear.
2. Click “Install TrapEditor.”

9. The Setup Type window will appear. Select the “Typical” radio
button, then click the “Next” button.
11. If you choose to view the ReadMe file in Step 10, read the
ReadMe file, then close it.
12. Leave the DVD-ROM in the drive or remove the CD-ROM from
the drive.
This concludes the TrapEditor installation. Proceed to the next
section to install the TrapEditor license.

Note PDF Trapeditor requires Acrobat 8.0

This chapter describes how to install Colorgenius AC/LE, which must
be installed on a system on which Adobe Acrobat v8.x Professional is
already installed.
Note You cannot use Colorgenius AC/LE with Adobe

You can install Colorgenius AC/LE on a computer running Windows or
