EXT. WOODS CLEARING - EVENING

We open on a BLOODY ROCK in the shaking hands of HANNAH. She
drops the rock, which lands in the mud.
CUT TO BLACK.

BEGIN FLASHBACK:

FADE TO:

INT. HANNAH'S BEDROOM - EVENING

Hannah sits at a DESK, looking into a MIRROR and applying
some LIPGLOSS. Music blares from a SPEAKER beside her.
She bobs her head to the music slightly as she puts her
makeup away. She then picks up a HAIRBRUSH and gently combs
through her hair.
She puts down the brush and stares at herself in the mirror
for a moment, sighing slightly.
She stands and grabs a JACKET that's been lain across her
bed.
CUT TO:

EXT. FRONT DRIVEWAY - MOMENTS LATER

We see Hannah through her bedroom window, putting her jacket
on before walking out of sight.
TOM stands on her driveway, staring into her window, watching
silently.
CUT TO:

INT. HANNAH'S BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER

Hannah stands by the door, rifling through her BAG. Her PHONE
PINGS behind her. She turns.
She grabs her phone from the desk and checks it. She sees a
message from Tom. It reads: "I'm outside."
 2.

HANNAH
Shit.
She turns her SPEAKER OFF and puts her phone into her bag.
She walks over to the window and peers outside. Tom is stood
in the driveway, staring back at her.
She turns and heads for the door, exiting her room.
CUT TO:

EXT. FRONT DRIVEWAY - EVENING

Hannah leaves her house. Tom's eyes watch her intently as she
approaches him. He smirks slightly as she stops in front of
him.
TOM
Hey.
HANNAH
Hi.
Tom stares at Hannah for a moment, expecting her to say
something more. She doesn't.
TOM
You look good.
Hannah forces a smile.

HANNAH
Thanks.
TOM
You coming then?
Tom gestures for Hannah to follow him. The two walk out of
the driveway and head down the road.
HANNAH
Where are we going?
TOM
I told you.. it's a secret.
HANNAH
(laughing shyly)
Okay then...
 3.

Tom puts his arm around her shoulder and walks her down the
road. Hannah tenses up a little.
CUT TO:

EXT. ROAD IN WOODS - LATER

Tom leads Hannah through a road in the woods. The pair walk
slightly apart from one another. It's quiet aside from the
hum of birds and the sound of their footsteps.
TOM
(nudging Hannah)
Almost there.
Hannah stares up at the trees above them.
HANNAH
(laughing wearily)
Why are we in the woods?
TOM
I know a good spot. Trust me.
HANNAH
(smiling weakly)
Okay.
She glances behind her, looking slightly worried. She then
checks her phone quickly. Tom notices this, looking a little
confused.
Tom puts his arm around her and leads her off road.
DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. WOODS CLEARING - MOMENTS LATER

Tom leads Hannah into a clearing in the middle of the woods.
A large LOG lays at the edge of the clearing.
TOM
Here we are.
He heads over to the log and sits down. He stares at Hannah
who looks around the clearing, seeming a little uneasy.
TOM (CONT'D)
Don't worry there's no one else
around.
Hannah stares back at him.

TOM (CONT'D)
(gesturing next to him)
Come sit.
Hannah reluctantly goes and sits beside him.
Tom reaches out to tuck a hair behind Hannah's ear.
TOM (CONT'D)
You are so beautiful.
HANNAH
Thanks...
Tom cups Hannah's chin between his finger and thumb and leans
towards her.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(backing away)
Hey, slow down a little.
TOM
(smirking)
Relax.
He tries to kiss her. There is a strange NOISE behind them.
Hannah pulls away from Tom abruptly.
HANNAH
Stop! What was that?
TOM
(still staring at her
lips)
What was what?
HANNAH
(glancing behind them)
I heard something over there.
TOM
(leaning closer again)
Don't worry about it.
HANNAH
(pushing him away)
No, seriously. I think there's
someone there.
Tom looks around, visibly annoyed.
TOM
It's probably just an animal.

HANNAH
Well, can you go and check? Please?
TOM
(rolling his eyes)
What? Seriously?
Hannah nods anxiously.
TOM (CONT'D)
(getting up)
Fine, whatever.
He peers into the trees behind them.
HANNAH
(watching him)
Anything?
TOM
(shrugging)
I don't see anything.
Hannah stands up, agitated.
HANNAH
You're barely looking.
TOM
(exasperated)
Okay, sorry.
Tom heads a little deeper into the trees. Hannah follows
behind him.
Hannah slowly raises her hand, revealing a LARGE ROCK she's
holding. She strikes Tom in the head from behind. He falls
down.
CUT TO BLACK.
FADE TO:

INT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT [FLASHBACK]

Hannah heads UPSTAIRS at a house party, passing scattered
empty CUPS on the stairs. Loud MUSIC and CHATTER comes from
downstairs. She seems stressed.
A PERSON stands at the top of the stairs, leant over the
banister with a DRINK in their hand. Hannah touches their arm
and they turn to face her.

HANNAH
Have you seen Sophie?
The person points to a door behind Hannah before turning back
around. Hannah looks suspiciously at the door.
As she reaches for the handle, the door swings open. Tom
stands before her. They stare at each other for a moment
before Tom pushes past her, rushing downstairs.
Hannah enters the room.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Soph?
Hannah sees her best friend, SOPHIE, sprawled on the floor.
Sophie sits, leaning against the BED behind her, with her
head hung low.
SOPHIE
(mumbling)
Hannah?
HANNAH
(rushing towards her)
Shit. What the fuck happened?
Hannah kneels by her friend and pushes her hair out of her
face. Sophie's MASCARA has run down her cheeks and she can
barely hold her head up, let alone make eye contact with
Hannah.
Hannah holds Sophie tightly in her arms. A tear falls down
her cheek as she tries to comfort Sophie.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(whispering)
It's okay... you're okay.
CUT TO:

EXT. WOODS CLEARING - PRESENT DAY

Hannah stands above Tom after knocking him out. She clutches
the BLOODIED ROCK, her hand shaking. She eventually drops the
rock.
SOPHIE (O.S.)
You fucking did it!
Hannah jumps at the sound of Sophie's voice. She turns to see
her friend standing behind her in the clearing. Sophie looks
a little shocked, almost impressed.

HANNAH
(laughing nervously)
I did, didn't I?
Sophie walks over to Tom and spits at him.
SOPHIE
Let's get this over with.
HANNAH
Have you got everything?
SOPHIE
Yeah.
Sophie opens her BAG and removes some ROPE from it.
HANNAH
Help me get him up.
The girls struggle to prop Tom up against a TREE. Sophie
unravels the rope. Hannah pulls out her PHONE and prepares to
film a video.
SOPHIE
(leaning down to stare at
his face)
Alright, you piece of shit. Ready
to admit what you did?
Sophie pauses for a second. Her face shifts from anger to
worry.
SOPHIE (CONT'D)
Uh, Hannah?
HANNAH
Yeah..?
SOPHIE
I don't think he's breathing.
HANNAH
(putting her phone away)
Fuck, are you serious?
Sophie presses two fingers to Tom's neck.
SOPHIE
There's no pulse.
HANNAH
Shit, move.

Hannah pushes Sophie out of the way and checks the pulse
herself. She freezes, shocked.
Behind her, Sophie paces back and forth with her hands on her
head.
SOPHIE
You fucking killed him.
HANNAH
(shaking her head in
denial)
Shut up.
SOPHIE
You did, you killed him.
HANNAH
Shut up! I'm thinking.
SOPHIE
(turning away)
I think I'm gonna be sick.
She swallows and grimaces. Hannah stands and puts her hand on
Sophie's back.
HANNAH
(nodding to herself)
We can fix this.
SOPHIE
(in hysterics)
How? He's fucking dead!
HANNAH
Look, no one knows we're here.
We'll just hide the body and get
out of here.
SOPHIE
(staring at Hannah)
Jesus, what?!
HANNAH
Got any better ideas?
Sophie turns to look at the body.
SOPHIE
No...
Hannah drops her bag on the ground and walks over to the
body. She attempts to lift Tom's body by his shoulders.
 9.

HANNAH
Help me then.
Sophie stands, frozen in shock, staring at Hannah. Hannah
sighs and drops the body. She walks over to Sophie and puts
her hands on her shoulders to reassure her.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Sophie, nothing is going to happen
to you. I promise.
Sophie nods, staring past Hannah at Tom's body.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Okay?
SOPHIE
(nodding)
Okay.
They each grip a part of the body, preparing to lift it.
Hannah takes a deep breath.
CUT TO:

EXT. FOREST CLEARING - LATER

Hannah and Sophie walk, side by side, out of the trees and
back into the clearing. Sophie grabs her BAG and the ROPE.
Hannah also grabs her BAG and checks her PHONE. Both of their
hands are BLOOD-STAINED.
HANNAH
(gesturing at the rope)
You'll have to get rid of that.
SOPHIE
(nodding)
I know.
Hannah wraps her arms around Sophie.
HANNAH
We're gonna be okay.
SOPHIE
(holding onto her friend)
You killed someone.
Hannah pauses for a moment, pale in the face.
HANNAH
He deserved it.
 10.

SOPHIE
(nodding)
Fuck him.
She takes Hannah's hand and the two of them walk away from
the clearing, heading back towards the road. Neither of them
speak.
As the girls get further away from the clearing we see the
BLOODIED ROCK left in the mud where Hannah dropped it.
FADE OUT.
