CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


SPOKEN POETRY

1.) One contestant from each group will join the contest.
2.) The spoken word poetry piece must be original composition and should be written in
both English and Tagalog.
3.) The piece must be related to the theme and must contain mathematical terms.
4.) Sounds, instrumental and music background is allowed to complement the delivery.
5.) Each contestant is given 2 minutes for the delivery of his/ her word spoken poetry.
Deduction of 1 point per minute must be given more than the time allotment.
6.) The following criteria shall be used:

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


JINGLE COMPETITION

1 Participant shall be composed of 12 to 15 members regardless of gender and grade


level.
2 Each group shall perform their piece using their body sounds and movements
only. There shall be no accompaniment of music.
3 Each group shall wear blue maong pants, t-shirt, and rubber shoes of any color.
4 Each group shall strictly observe “No props (even hand props) Policy”.
5 Each group shall be given three (3) minutes including entrance and exit. A
deduction of one point per minute shall be imposed in excess of the allotted time
from the total score given by each member of the Board of Judges.
6 Lyrics of Math Jingle must be in ENGLISH only. Name of the school should not be
part of the Math Jingle.
7 Each group shall submit a copy of their piece to the panel of judges. It shall be four
copies using SHORT size typewriting paper, arial font, and font size 12, in SHORT
white folder without any identification of the group.
8 Ranking shall be used to determine the final group standing
9 The following criteria shall be used:

ON THE SPOT SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST
1. Contestant shall write a slogan following a common theme which shall be
announced during the contest.

2. Each contestant shall bring a “thick” colored paper (legal size) together with writing
materials.
3. Each entry shall be written in English.
4. The content of the slogan must include mathematical terms.
5. Contestants shall be given 1 &1/2 hours to write the slogan.
6. Strictly no design.
7. Each entry shall be judged according to the following criteria:

ON THE SPOT POSTER MAKING CONTEST

1. Each contestant should bring ¼ illustration board, pencil, and oil pastel. Borrowing of
materials is strictly prohibited.
2. Contestants shall be doing a poster following a common theme which shall be
announced during the contest briefing before the contest proper.
3. Contestants shall be given three (3) hours to do the poster.
4. Each entry shall be judged according to the following criteria:

KRYPTO COMPETITION
1 There shall be one contestant per group. Each participants shall
prepare 3x6 inches board.
2 Does not follow PEMDAS rule, no radicals, no fraction, no
negative numbers, no exponent, and no zero.
3 Krypto materials shall be provided by Math Adventure Camp
Committee on Supplies.
4 The scope is from 1 to 25 numbers.
6 Contest mechanics shall be announced before the actual
contest by the event manager.
7 Three winners will be selected based on their ranking.

DAMATH COMPETITION
Integers
1 There shall be one contestant per group. Each
participant shall prepare writing material (pencil or
ballpen)
2 Contestants shall be grouped into two (2) and compete
using round robin elimination in each group.

3 There shall be two down knock out (two loss


means disqualified)
4 Each contestant shall be allotted only 20 moves with 30
seconds in each move.
5 Remaining positive chips shall be added while
negative chips shall be subtracted to the final
scores.
6 The highest scores win the competition.
7 Top two (2) for each group will qualify for the final
round where top 3 scorers in this round will be
declared winners.
8 Three winners will be selected based on their
ranking.
