Hello! My full name is Natalia Cancela, I am 23 years old and I was born on September
29th, 2000. I'm a Libra!
I have brown small eyes and brown wavy hair, I am medium.
I was born In Uruguay, Montevideo, I live with my mother, and im an only child. We have
two pets, a cat and a dog called Gala and Nala.
I live in a neighbourhood close to "Punta de Rieles" and almost 8 blocks away from my
highschool, it is a little noisy yet quiet, somedays people around are very talkative.
I study at high school number 58th "Mario Benedetti", I'm attending 4th grade now but
in the night shift, I have two 3rd grade pending exams to sit for: Maths and Arts, Im a
good student but im very lazy.
I love Arts, I used to draw a lot when I was younger but I struggle with the technical part
and I hate Maths, It isn't easy for me to remember so many combinations of numbers,
letters and symbols!
My favourite subject its English, I love learning other languages also learn about other
cultures, it helps me to understand people around the world better and I love everything
related to travel. I wish to travel someday, It is a goal that I want to achieve!
I am a quite and peaceful person, sincere, friendly and easygoing, but I also like to spend
time alone, In my free time I like watching K-dramas, movies, TV series/shows and
anime, my favourite anime is "Inuyasha".
I love listening to music and my favourite genres right now are Pop, K-Pop, J-Pop,
Electronic, Rock, J-Rock, Instrumental etc. But I like all kinds of music in general.
Sometimes I like to read, play games, edit music videos or take skyview photos for fun, I
love to go out to many places but I prefer outdoor places where I can see a full skyview
and waterview like one of my favourites places of my city called "La Rambla".
I love all kinds of biscuits and tea, my favourites are cookies with chocolate chips and
halfmoons also green and strawberry tea.
I dont like cheese, mustard and I hate olives! they taste awful. I like to stay healthy but
I love fast food, hamburguers and pizza are my favourite ones!
I dont like sports and I dont practice one but I would like to learn how to do roller
skating, swimming, cycling or how to play tennis. I hate unpolite people and I dont like
injustice.

Atsushi Sakurai was a Japanese singer and musician. He was born on March 7,
1966 and was the lead vocalist and songwriter of my favourite j-rock band
"Buck-Tick" from 1985 until his passing.
Initially joining as a drummer in 1983, Atsushi led the band for 38 years and
they recorded 23 studio albums, most of them were highly successful. They
reached number 10 on Japan's "Oricon" chart, Buck-Tick are also known as one
of the founders of the "visual kei" movement.
I like many of his solo songs and Buck-Tick songs, but my favourite ones are
“Sacrifice”, “Dress” and “Kagerou”.

Atsushi's only solo album was "Ai no Wakusei" ("Planet of love") which was
released on June 23, 2004.
He was also a member of "Schwein" alongside his Buck-Tick bandmate Hisashi
Imai, Sascha Konietzko and Raymond Watts. In 2015 he did a solo project
called "The Mortal". After falling ill at a Buck-Tick concert, Atsushi died
(Atsushi during a concert in 1998)
from a brainstem hemorrhage at a Yokohama hospital on October 19, 2023.

Atsushi was born in Fujioka, Gunma on March 7, 1966, he had an older brother.
He had the same date of birth and blood type as his father, his father dealt with alcohol problems.
His first album purchased was "Feel Happy" by Shinji Harada.
He was impressed by the makeup of the band "Kiss" and the melodies and clothes of the "Bay City Rollers"
but preferred Harada, Twist and "Char".
He had an acoustic guitar and stopped playing it. He loved listening to music too but he never considered
becoming a musician at that time.
Atsushi attended the "Gunma Kenritsu Fujioka" school and used to be a lonely boy, hanging out with "the bad
kids" and whose friends were mostly from outside of school, but in the 3rd year of high school he became
friends with his classmate, Hisashi Imai, he introduced him into "punk rock." They listened to records
together and often talked about forming a band, and chose which instruments they wanted to play. Sakurai
chose drums because he thought it was cool. Later he said that his inspiration to form a band was seeing
"Boowy", Gunma's bandmate. , was his initial inspiration to form a band, being inspired later by "Bauhaus"
and "David Bowie".
He graduated in 1984, then Atsushi did certain small jobs which didn’t satisfy him.
He continued to play in the band, later renamed "Buck-Tick." However, he said that at that time he was only
in the band because he had nothing else to do. He said that was the worst period of his life.

After the other members of Buck-Tick graduated from high school and moved to Tokyo, Atsushi was the only one who had to stay in
Gunma Perfection because his father was against his gang's activities and Atsushi was worried about his mother. Then he decided to
become a singer. He asked "Toll Yagami" if he could be the vocalist of his band "SP" but was rejected. When his father died in
October 1984, Atsushi moved to Tokyo a year later.
Buck-Tick's singer left the band, it was when Atsushi severely and successfully lobbied to become the band's new leader in December
1985.
Their first debut album was "Sexual XXXXX" with the Victor Entertainment discography in 1987.
Their 1988 single "Just One More Kiss" marked a breakthrough when it reached number six on the Oricon singles chart. The following
year, their fourth studio album "Taboo" reached number one and they performed at the "Tokyo Dome" for the first time.
In 1990, their single "Aku no Hana" and their album of the same name reached number one on their respective charts.
Buck-Tick continued his success for over 30 years, with almost all of his subsequent albums reaching the top ten on the Oricon chart.
Including 2023's "Izora," his twenty-third studio album and last with Atsushi.

Atsushi's last name, Sakurai, was originally written as "sakura", but when his mother died in 1990 he changed it. He also wrote
"Jupiter" and "Sakura" about his mother's death. Atsushi married Buck-Tick's stylist in 1991. They had a son, who won the
"Akutagawa Haruka Tono Award", before they divorced a year later. He remarried in June 2004.

The band's "Chaos After Dark" tour was scheduled to begin in December 1996 but was postponed after Atsushi fell seriously ill with
acute peritonitis while on a photo shoot in Nepal.
With his life at risk, he was flown back to Japan and was hospitalized for almost a month. The missed concert dates were made up
with a tour in March 1997.
On December 9, 2018, Atsushi was visibly ill during the band's concert at "Zepp DiverCity" but wanted to finish the performance.
After the concert, he was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal hemorrhage and subsequent shows had to be postponed due to his
treatment.

SOLO CAREER AND OTHER WORKS

Apart from Buck-Tick, Atsushi appeared on the song "Masquarade" from the 1991 album "Shishunki II" by "Der Zibet", and on its re-
recording for Kaikoteki Mirai - Nostalgic Future from 2010.

Atsushi made backing vocals for "Koi no Hallelujah" on Der Zibet vocalist Issay's album "Flowers" in 1994, as well as songs such as
"No One Gets Out of Her Alive" and "Contempt" from the album "Wrecked" in 1996. For the Masami Tsuchiya's 1998 album, "Mori no
HIto" (Forest People) he sings lead vocals on "A Mid Summer Night's Forest" and "Goblin Forest", for which he wrote the lyrics.

Atsushi and his Buck-Tick bandmate Hisashi Imai teamed up with English and German industrial musicians Raymond Watts and Sascha
Konietzko to form the supergroup Schwein in 2001. They released one studio album, "Schweinstein", a remix album, "Son of
Schweinstein", and toured Japan, all before disbanding within a year. Watts said in an interview in 2023 that Atsushi was a“great
vocalist.

Atsushi co-wrote the song "Shinkai" for Chiaki Kuriyama's 2011 debut album, Circus.

In 2015, he announced the formation of his second solo project, a band called The Mortal. The mini album "Spirit" was released on
October 14 and they toured in November. The full-length album "I am Mortal" was released on November 11, 2015.

He wrote the lyrics for the song "Koisuru Christine", which Imai composed for Kishidan's 2017 album Manyoshu. Atsuhi was the
narrator of the 2018 anime film "Neko Ki Kaku." Sang the song "Kakeochi-mono" with Rin.

On October 19, 2023, during a Buck-Tick concert at "KT Zepp Yokohama" in Yokohama, Japan,
which was only for members of his fan club, Atsushi was rushed to a hospital due to sudden signs of
illness. , which abruptly stopped the performance. According to attendees, he looked visibly ill from
the first song, "Scarecrow," sat down to perform the second, "Boy Septem Peccata Mortallia," and
then was escorted offstage by staff after the third song. "Zekkai."
He died in the hospital at 11:09 p.m. that night, at 57 years old. The cause of death was revealed to
be a brainstem hemorrhage. The following days the funeral was held privately, attended by close
friends and family.
His death was announced by the band on October 24. Buck-Tick held a two-day memorial event for
Atsushi, called "The Ceremony", at Zepp Haneda on December 8 and 9. Almost 20,000 people
attended.

"Sports Nippon" described Atsushi as "a charismatic figure who led the rock world of the 1980s."
The "Mainichi Shimbun" wrote that Atsushi was known for his beautiful appearance and unique
singing voice.
Several musicians expressed their condolences for his death, including Tomoyasu Hotei, Sugizo,
Gackt, Daigo and Diamond Yukai. "Izam" said he admired Atsushi since his school days and
recounted how he met him for the first time, "I felt like I had touched a god." Show Ayanocozey
commented: "He was a true rock hero who lived on stage until the end and was in the spotlight until
the moment of his death. Who else has done something like that?"
On December 30, 2023, Atsushi was honored with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the 65th
Japan Record Awards.

In 2011, J-rock music critics writing for Metropolis included Atsushi in their Pantheon of Japanese
rock gods. According to Shweta Basu, the musician's good looks and "distant and dangerous aura"
inspired many fictional characters, most notably rock singer Kouji Nanjo in the manga series
"Zetsuai" (1989).
"Dir En Gray" vocalist Kyo was inspired to become a rock star after seeing a photo of Sakurai on a
high school classmate's desk.
"Mucc" leader Tatsuro cited Sakurai as the vocalist who has influenced him the most, including his
lyrics and stage presence.

Group Work: I did the project by myself but I also like the teamwork,
it helps a lot, and English is my favourite subject so I felt good in the
class from de beginning, I'm still getting to know my classmates but
they are respectful and kind , we always try to help each other when
we can, besides that the English class always has a harmonious and
fun atmosphere, I love the class, it’s always entertaining and the
teacher is very funny, it also helped me to understand better the
things that I didn't understood before.

Topic: Biography. I felt enthusiastic and excited to do it because it was

what I wanted to do since the teacher presented the topics to choose,
it was a bit difficult for me to write it and I was a little nervous about
how to do it correctly because I never did a biography before and in
other language, but I think that It helped me so much, and I found
the project fun because I also learned how to use Canva very easily! I
didn't know about the app and I ended up liking it, it has many
functions. It was a nice experience for me, it also helped me creatively
in addition to put in practice my level of English.
I chose the topic because I already had in mind to do a biography
about Atsushi, I love listening to music and read about the lives of
famous people, especially my favourite singers, I find it interesting to
know a little about their lives, who they were or how they lived
before to be worldwide known and this specific singer caught my
attention, because I listened to songs by his band and him but I didn't
know much about him and his life, he seems like a special person to
dedicate a biography about and I like some songs of him and his
band which was Buck-Tick.
Grammar: Irregular verbs. Now I understand them better than before,
I didn't understand several irregular verbs and now that we worked
on more examples in class, it was clearer to me how to use them
correctly. For example, now I know that Firemen is an irregular verb
that is only used in the plural form, and Fireman is in the
singular."Woman" is singular and "Women" is plural, "Good" changes
to "Better" to say that something or someone is better “more good”.
