1. Course Objectives

The objective of this course lab is to familiarize the students with real power op-
eration and control, including hardware and software practice. Students will un-
derstand unit commitment problem and importance of economic load dispatch by
experimentation on MATLAB software. Also, students will perform experiments
on frequency and reactive power contro.
