SOLUTION-
High interest rate on loans caused people
to not opt buying new properties.
They dealt with this issue by providing
financial suggestions such as registering
the properties in the name of any female
family members like wife or mother
which provides benefits such low interest
rate on loans.
As a result, they were able to attract
customers even during such times.
CASE-2 INCREASE IN THE REGISTRATION
TAX RATE IN DELHI.
SOLUTION-
As the business covered the regions of
Ghaziabad as well as Delhi, the increase in
the registration tax caused a drop in the
sale of properties in Delhi.
They forecasted that customers will prefer
to buy properties in Ghaziabad region
more as the registration tax is lower than
in Delhi and there is also a difference of
around 30%-40% in property rates in both
the regions, so they decided to increase
their focus in Ghaziabad region more. The
management accounting tool used by
them is future trend forecasting.
GENERAL STORE-
• A store which sells a large variety of
useful things, without specializing highly
in any particular type of merchandise, and
which is not departmentalized.
• Our report is based on a local grocery
store located in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh.
SOLUTION-
During covid, transportation of stocks
from the wholesalers came to a stop due
to restrictions imposed by the govt.
They along with the retailer’s association
approached the DM to find a solution to
the transportation issue, and the DM
issued passes for the same which helped
restore the movement of stock from the
wholesalers to the retailers.
Once the transportation issue was
resolved they were able to make enough
revenue to pay the wholesalers.
SOLUTION-
It was suggested by the govt. and doctors
to avoid cash transactions during covid in
order to stop the spread of the pandemic.
But it was not possible to avoid cash
transactions as people from rural areas
were not having any mobile banking
facility back then.
New machines such as sanitization
machines for cash were bought to
overcome this issue as safety of the
customer as well as the owner is always
the top priority.
CASE-3 FEAR OF COVID CAUSED
CUSTOMER TO PREFER HOME DELEVERY
OF HOUSEHOLD ITEMS.
SOLUTION-
As the no. of covid cases rose, people
started to fear going out even to get basic
necessities such as grocery items. People
started preferring home delivery more.
As it was not possible to directly cater to a
large customer for a small business, they
partnered up with Amazon pantry to
provide delivery of items. Not only that
but they also kept an option of direct
delivery of items to the nearby places too.
This helped them to maintain sales even
during the lockdown period.
