Overview

Introduction courses are for teachers who are new to Cambridge or to a specific
syllabus or programme.

What will I learn?

This course is designed to help you to get started with this Cambridge syllabus.

Under the guidance of an experienced Cambridge trainer, you will:

● learn about the syllabus and key content for teaching

● become familiar with the Cambridge International approach to teaching and
learning
● understand the syllabus aims and assessment objectives
● reflect on a range of teaching approaches, and how to use these in planning
● review endorsed resources that are available to support teaching
You will also have lots of opportunities to share ideas with other Cambridge International
teachers.

Who is this course for?

This course is for teachers who are new to Cambridge International and have no prior
experience of Cambridge programmes. If you are an experienced Cambridge
International teacher or have taught this syllabus for at least two years, we strongly
recommend you attend one of our other courses instead.

You only need to attend an Introduction course once. So, if you have already attended
this course, or the equivalent Introductory course previously (for this syllabus year), you
do not need to attend again.

Who will deliver the course?

This course will be delivered by an accredited Cambridge trainer who is a subject expert
with a range of relevant classroom experience and have been involved in some aspect
of marking. We do not provide professional development courses delivered by
examiners who have seen live papers.
