1.(a)You are provided with food substance labelled M, use it to carry out the food test and
complete the table below. (8 marks)

2.You are provided with avisking tubing, pieces of thread, starch solution and iodine solution in
a beaker. Open one end of the visking and tie tightly using a thread. Pour starch solution into a
visking tubing to about ¾ full. Then tie the other end tightly to ensure than there is no leakage.
Rinse the sides of the tubing with water. Immerse the visking tubing into a beaker containing
Iodine solution. Leave the set up to settle for 20 Minutes.

3 (A)During an ecological study, a form one student collected the specimen shown below for
study.
