Script Breakdown

The document outlines a script breakdown for a short film. It describes 14 scenes showing a day in the life of the main character. In each scene, everything and everyone around the main character is sped up while he remains in slow motion, appearing detached. This is meant to convey how the character feels the world is moving faster than him. The scenes provide insight into what may be causing his detachment through family portraits on his wall and an empty plate at the dinner table.

In this clip the main character will be sat at the table with his spoon halfway to his mouth, meanwhile in the background another character will be cooking their breakfast and will sit at the table and eat it, all of this will be sped up. The main character will be sat in the back seat of the car, the camera will be able to see cars driving past out of the rear windscreen, but will also be able to see the driver and passenger in the front, they will be generally talking, and have an argument, once again all of this will be sped up around the main character. In this clip the main character will be stood as if walking in the hallway and other students will be walking past him, once again sped up. The camera will be at the front of the classroom, with a view of the whole room.
