HIMURJA is agency under Dept of NES with following Major functions


Identification, Allotment & Monitoring of Projects upto 5MW.

Policy Formulation for Other Renewable Sources, Wind and Solar. SPV Power plant 200kw commissioned in Sirmour Distt.
Implementation of programme under Jawaharlal Nehru Solar Mission.

Two State level Energy Parks are being developed under SADP Scheme of MNRE GoI.
GoI Approved the proposal to develop Shimla & Hamirpur as Solar Cities.
