Check Point#3.2

The document discusses adding stiffener plates under large diameter pipes to prevent failure at local beam locations supporting the pipe weight. Calculations found that most pipe support positions had loads under the local failure capacity, with only 2-3 positions over 20 tons requiring stiffeners to increase web strength.

Check Point‐3

For the stiffener plate under huge pipes.

Stiffeners are recommended at the bottom of huge diameter

IMO
It's good to prevent failure in local location of beams
coreesponding to bearing support pipes .
.
.
But from the calculations, it was found that mostly of the
positions that support the weight of the pipes I've hardly found
The piping load which more than local failure capacities .
There are only 2-3 positions of piping vertical load more than
20 Ton that they have to add stiffener plate to increase the
web yeilding , web cripling or web local yeilding etc .
