Subject: Resolutions 7 & 8 Recount results

State Committee members,

The Executive Committee at their 4/23/2024 regular meeting approved a recount of the
Resolutions ballots for Resolutions 7 and 8. (The rest of the resolutions having a margin of
110+ votes, the Executive Committee deemed it unnecessary to recount any of the other
resolutions.) The Executive Committee and the Chair have directed me to share the results of
the Resolutions Recount.
Seven members of the Executive Committee convened today to perform the recount of the
Ballots on Resolutions numbers 7 & 8. The recount was conducted from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The recount identified tallying errors in several districts. All of the errors were small and
appeared to be simple human error. The recount results are as follows:

RESOLUTION 7:

Yes: 816
No: 411
Blank: 8
Total cast: 1227
Needed to pass (2/3): 818

Resolution 7 Fails by 2 votes.

RESOLUTION 8:

Yes: 830
No: 391
Blank: 14
Total cast: 1221
Needed to pass (2/3): 814

Resolution 8 Passes by 16 votes.

At the direction of the Executive Committee, per-district results will also be released, both for
the Resolutions vote, and all other balloted races at the Convention. This information should be
sent out to the State Committee tomorrow, pending a press release on this issue.

Sincerely,

Andrew Bornemann
NDGOP Secretary
