11 Capacitor in AC Circuit - Lab Work

The document provides instructions for a lab report on measuring capacitance in an AC circuit. Students are instructed to measure voltage and current values at different points in the circuit using a software and fill out a table with the results. They are also asked questions about the purpose of the experiment and how to analyze the experimental data.

Capacitor in AC circuit - lab report

Student name: Student name:

Student name: Student name:

Before start doing your report, read the following instructions:

1. Any value without unit will be considered not correct.
2. No more than 4 students for each lab report.
3. Each lab report must belong to the same section (day & time), otherwise you
will get zero grade.

Part B (Experimental calculations): [1 x 2 = 2 points]
Before you start, you may need to use the following instructions to complete this part
For each measurement below, use the coordinate delta tool for measurements. Place
your tool on the first peak and trough of the voltage and the first peak and trough for the
current graph

1. Measure the Maximum Amplitude for the voltage (Vmax).

2. Measure the Minimum Amplitude for the voltage (Vmin).
3. Measure the Maximum Amplitude for the Current (Imax).
4. Measure the Minimum Amplitude for the Current (Imin).
5. To determine (∆t), find the time difference between the first peak of the VOLTAGE graph and
the first peak of the CURRENT graph.
6. Useful formulas
