1. What does your skeleton do for your body?


In your body, the skeleton works very closely with the muscular system to help you
move. Without the bones of your skeleton, you would be a blob of water-filled
tissues. The bones create a framework to which your muscles and organs can
connect. Your skeleton also plays a role in protection, especially in your head.

2. What are the layers of the bone?


 The outer surface of the bone is called the periosteum.
 The next layer is made up of compact bone.
 Inside the compact bone are many layers of cancellous bone, which, as
the name suggests, looks quite a bit like a sponge
 The spongy part protects the innermost part of the bone, the bone
marrow

3. Why is your skeletal system necessary for your body to live?

because it helps us move and produces blood cells
