What is Leisure? What is a Flow State?

Leisure is your free time in

which you participate in
something that you enjoy.

How do you know if you

have been in a flow state
before?

life where you felt

you were doing.
Types of Leisure
Leisure can be active or passive.
Leisure is entirely up to you. What you like to do in your free time is your leisure.
Determining what leisure you enjoy can be difficult, especially if leisure
participation has been absent. -

What leisure is available to me? What can I do? What do I want to try? What do I
enjoy?

What are some examples of active or passive leisure?

My Leisure Schedule

In order to build these healthy habits and hold ourselves accountable, we need to
participate in purposeful leisure. Purposeful leisure is when we are intentional with
our free time. We can demonstrate this by prioritizing our leisure, and creating a leisure
schedule to make intentional leisure time in our schedule.

Take 25 minutes to schedule your priorities for the week. Don’t forget your leisure!

What time will you wake up? What time will you go to sleep? What are your
responsibilities for the day? When can you incorporate leisure?
Recognizing the Support around me

Having a support system is extremely important for your mental health and
wellbeing.

One of the biggest supports you will have is yourself. However, family,
friends, doctors, therapists, social workers, etc, all play a big part of our
support system and it is important to remember we have support available to
us when we need it.

Who do I trust? Who can I call? Where can I go if I need help?
