The Evaluation of Lab/ Work shop subjects is two parts (i) FORMATIVE and (ii) SUMMATIVE
(i) FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT (FA):
It is a continuous assessment throughout the year/ semester during the class work
Maximum of FA marks is 40 per laboratory subject
40 marks are divided into: 20 marks for continuous assessment during lab/ work shop class + 20 marks for 2 assessments per semester/ year
Continuous assessment during lab/ work shop class can be divided as:
Student’s success in
Student’s knowledge on the Student’s knowledge on Student’s skill in the conducting the
Student’s Entry behavior
equipment and consumables the experimental setup experimental setup experiment and taking
readings

Formative Assessment total marks SHALL BE REDUCED TO maximum of 20 marks for a student for a subject (CIA)
(Max 40 marks) 2 Special intermediate assessments (Max 20 marks each), after completing 2 intermediate assessments
