The teacher together with pupils will sing the “Place Value Song”. through video. Then, the teacher
will ask questions about the song.

D. PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION

1. Discussion of the lesson with the pupils.


 The teacher shows a place value chart and how it is used in determining the place value and value of a
digit in a number.
 Pupils tell the different place value and values of digits in a number .
 The teacher with the pupils discuss the concept of place value and value of a number.
2. Through filling in the chart, pupils will put the digits in the proper places as shown in the example.
3. For better understanding of the lesson, refer to pages 2-13 of the mathematics book. The PPT used in the class
discussion is available in LEAP.
